CRM Access filter and Groups

Hi All,

As mentioned in IFS HELP:

  • FILTER ADMIN : are users who should have access to ALL records covered by that filter
  •  Users who do not belong to a group are not affected by restricted access. ==> will have access to ALL records.

Cannot really see the difference between Admin users and a user not included by mistake in any Access Group.  

From my understanding once Status of the filter is ON, user that doesn’t belong to any access group must NOT have access to any Business Opportunity (same as in Project).

As per the design, as long as you are not a member of any group, the CRM access will not be applied for the user. If you search for the user in Representative Access Info page you will notice that this user is not included in the CRM access. If you add the user to any CRM access group he will be given access according to the filters and groups.

The reason for this is that the CRM access should not have an impact on users working with other parts of the application since these users need to have access to all customers etc.
