Hello all,

I have a doubt about IFS Version 10 and appreciate if any consultant can support it.

how I can force the Customer order to be issued from one warehouse/location without taking the stock from multiple warehouses/locations.

Current structure: One site has multiple warehouses and each warehouse has a location.
the same item can be Available in different warehouses.

Hi ,

If you want to go for automatic reservations , you can setup Priority levels in the Site window / Inventory TAB / Automatic Reservations.

If you set first priory as the : Highest put away zone ranking , if the parts are available in the warehouse location which has highest ranking , parts would be reserved from that particular location first.

However , there are few more settings that you need to setup in the application level to make this happen.

Many Thanks,

Lumini.

Thanks, But is there anyway to force the Order to be issued from one location?

As @Lumini Sahabandu has mentioned above, you may try to do it with Automatic Reservation Ranking by setting the Priority 1 to Highest Putaway Zone Ranking in Site window..

To do this, first define your warehouses as Storage Zones.

Then rank them in Putaway Zone Basic Data window.

Thanks.

Hi @oalmashaleh ,

When the automatic reservations are allowed in the order type , as per the priories setup in the site level the reservations will be made.

If you have set 1st Priority one to the ‘Highest Put away Zone Ranking’ and if the warehouses are ranked in the Storage Zone window as well ( As above mentioned by @Ravinatha Ariyarathna ) , when executing reservations parts in the warehouses with ranking one will be reserved first.  But still you need to link the storage zone to the Inventory Part in the below TAB.

If you have enough stocks to fulfill the customer order in the ranked 1 warehouse , all the parts will be issued from that.

Many Thanks,

Lumini.

@oalmashaleh , in order to force the Order to be issued from one location, you may define that location as a Storage Zone, then set the highest ranking to it in the Putaway Zone Basic Data window.

HI @oalmashaleh ,

You can assign availability control ID/IDs to the other locations of the part/parts. In the availability control ID you assign, you can define it such that the part cannot be reserved from that location automatically (You can set it to be able to be manually reserved if you want). So, parts in locations which have been assigned of this availability control ID, will not be reserved. Only the parts in the location where there is not this availability control ID assigned, will be reserved.

You can automate this process if you want, through an custom event or a database task, which will automatically assign pre-defined availability control IDs upon receiving specific parts into inventory (specific locations).

Thanks
