Hi there 😀. The indicatior “create SM object” will create a serial object. My question is for the rental process:Doesn’t the CO in rental create a serial object? Reason is, that during the rental process service processes are needed and the asset should be available as SO. Thanks in advance again 😁

Hi everyone, We are trying to create serial object with the rental module, but we don’t manage to do it.We have enabled “create SM object” on sales part, but the object is not created when we deliver rental CO lines. Is it possible to create object with this process ? When you activated Supplier Warranty on the Work Order before you book cost (time,material) on the Work Task the additional Sales Lines will be created and works fine.But when you want activated the Supplier Warranty, later into the proces when already cost are booked like time & material, there will be No additional Sales Lines created.Is there a possibilty to add Supplier Warranty when the Work Order/Work Task is on the status Work Done and aslo create the additional Sales Lines on IFS Cloud 24.2.3

Hi,When a new location is created on Service > Location with a Location Address, the “Position Address” is always automatically set to “Yes” even if I give an address informaiton that actually doesn’t exist. Would like to know why the Position Address is always automatically set to “Yes”?  

We have registered new serial objects in IFS and enabling them for measurement. End-users are to enter meter readings through the Upload Measurements functionality in bulk. Keen to know if there is a relatively easy way to setup the Meter IDs in bulk for the initial setup. Thank you. 

Hi All,When I create a new revision through Work Task Template, got the error message ‘The Purchase Part Does not exist’The Part No entered under the Material tab → Work List is a Manufactured type of Inventory Part. Need to know the reason of requesting a Purchase Part while creating the new revision.Thank you.

Are working in IFS app10.   And we have added extra investment. but when we are activate the extra investment it will not go over to the objects base value (but it looks like the hole amount inc. the extra add investment are in the activating) - some bugg or ? 

It seems both apps gets updated and the functionality seems to be quite identical. What is the exact difference between the 2 apps? 

Within FSM (Service Manager), when we close a Task, the scope and the request are automatically closed.Within EAM, we have parameters to prevent this automatic closure.Which parameter can we modify so that the Service Manager doesn't close the request when the tasks within it are completed?We want to manually close the scope; we don't want it to work automatically.In EAM, it's possible to do this using the "Finish with Task" attribute, but I can't find it in FSM. Product Version: 25.1.3 Business Impact: Within FSM (Service Manager), when we close a Task, the scope and the request are automatically closed.

Hi Experts,In the B2B portal, contractors currently cannot update assigned work tasks. There is no way for them to add notes such as planned start dates, issues, or other relevant updates once a task is assigned.We need a clear way for contractors to update this information in the B2B portal to support effective monitoring and tracking of work progress.How we can do this? Seems the business need to fully rely on emails? This page is Read only!  Thanks,KM

Could you please let me know if there’s a way to identify a Work Order that as it was generated by the Work Order Generator, even in the later stages of the Work Order lifecycle

We have recently upgraded from 24R1 to 25R1 and noticed an unexpected behaviour related to pre-postings.Our WO have 2 code parts While we get the 3 other code parts from the object. Quite often users change the code parts for some of the tasks in the WO (other purpose and financial project)We have now noticed that when others later add a priority or updates the task with additional long description on the task the pre-postings are changed back to the values from the WO... 

I'm working with two Service Objects in IFS, and both have an Operational Status of Scrapped. For one of the scrapped objects, IFS correctly prevents me from creating a new Service Request. However, for the other object—also marked Scrapped—I am still able to create a new request.I would expect the behaviour to be consistent, so I'm trying to understand why one Scrapped object is blocked while the other still allows request creation. Is there another setting or dependency that controls this behaviour?For service object 012125F15-PL107162560, I’m able to create a new request.I do note that the operation status doesn’t seem to appear on the Service Object, despite existing on the Part Serial:

Hi all,We uploaded a long list of measurements for the object (~80000 rows). When we try to see them in IFS Cloud in the form Measurements for Objects we got error - question subject. Attachment meas_obj_1.But we try to have a look at uploaded measurements in the menu  Measurements for Object - we managed to do that. Attachment meas_obj_2Letter ‘S’ - the difference between menu names - can’t be the reason I hope. Does anybody have any idea about the reason and the solution for the issue?

Hello,I’m trying to setup a fixed “Document Text” with a phrase, that needs to be printed on Return Material return slips.I’ve added the text to the Sales Part screen under “Return Material Line”, but it doesn’t carry over automatic? Do you know of any possibilities where we can with standard functionality have that printed each time.  Thank you,Michael

25R1. WorkTask attachment pane. User-Administrator can see and use “eye” icon in attachment pane. But regular user with administrative permissions can’t see  “eye” icon. So user can’t view attached pdf file.I made some experiments and figured out the only way to allow regular user to see  “eye” icon is to grant  system privilege DOCMAN_ADMINISTRATOR + other permission sets restrictions.It’s not a good idea to provide admin permissions to regular users but I can’t find an alternative.Does anybody know way/ways how to allow “eye” icon appear in attachment pane?Regards,Roman. 

In Cloud, inventory part demand on a PM’s can be set to a different site that the PM / Work Order site, but the demand will not been published on the selected site when the PM , even if the horizon is set on the part demand site. Is that correct? a bug or “as designed”? (..or maybe I have missed somthing in the setup?? :) )

Hi All, Currently using IFS Cloud (24R1) work orders and tasks (service request tasks) have been in operation for a few months and all jobs linked to functional objects.    The tasks have gone through to invoiced and set to finished but on the functional object cost/revenue section we aren’t seeing any cost/revenue. I believe something else needs to be set up but can’t locate the info through any of the other queries.  The code part info section is blank could it be something to do with that? if so, how do I add a code part to the functional objects
