When working with a detached spare part list that has a multilevel hierarchy, we observed the following behavior: The Level 1 part in the detached spare part list has two connected child parts (Level 2). When retrieving the detached spare part list from the Maintenance Material Requisition (MMR), it is not possible to directly navigate or view the Level 2 parts from the hierarchy. To access Level 2 parts, we need to manually add the corresponding Level 1 part in the MMR, then re-query and add spare parts from the detached spare part list. Only then do the Level 2 parts appear. This process results in multiple iterations when dealing with hierarchical spare part structures. Additionally, once the Level 2 parts are retrieved, the previous level label does not provide contextual information about the parent part. We’re trying to understand whether this is: A

 Hello Experts,Please suggest if there is a mechanism, trying to avoid doing a CRIM here.When WO created from service contract/ PM action with a resource defined with an assigned person in contract with relevant hours required,Can same person be assigned in WT/assign work allocation? (can it be automated to fetch from PM action as its already added there?), now it flows to work demands but no allocation is made thought data is existing.Can we automate creating allocation link without a crim, just want to see the best options available?Reason because 900> WO exist initially to manually assign.When WO is created, go to allocations, demand shows but not allocated, can we apply it automatically? 

Can work Order Planning gantt in IFS Cloud 24R1 be enriched with custom fields?I have a requirement where work order planners need to plan and schedule work orders based on Equipment Object groups. Object group is not visible in the gantt view, so my intention was to add it as a custom field with page designer. However there is no list of attributes in the page designer. 

We are trying to delete an inventory part because it was entered incorrectly and are getting the following error message.  

IFS Cloud 25R1, IFS MwO Maintenance 25.3.1443.0Serial Parts added onto a material line and Reserved on a Work Task.The Work Task is assigned to a Resource and Trasferred to mobile.I am unable to issue the reserved material in the work task using MwO. When I try to Issue the materials for the Work Task on MWO, I get the following message : Part Reservation is not available to Issue. Use Planned Material to issue the part instead. On the Technician Portal , I am able to issue the reserved materials on the the work task. Has anyone faced this issue before ? 

Hi, In the Resource Monitoring Gantt, the assigned tasks displays the Work Task no. and the Task Description. E.g.   Is it possible to show the Actual Object instead of the Task Description without the need to modify the system? The Actual Object and further fields are displayed when the mouse hovers over the bar. Thanks in advance!

Hello,In MWO I set Work Task to Incomplete, filled incompletion reason and hours that are left till completion. Where to find that incompletion information that was filled on work task? I do not see it in MWO Work Task and also do not see in IFS Cloud application:Where I can find incompletion information for work task?

Hi All,I would like to understand what capabilities we have, if any, with regard to planning Isolation Orders in conjunction with Work Orders.The background for the question is that for any larger work, it is to be expected that also isolation orders need to be planned with resources, materials etc, and are likely to be carried out by the same people as the actual work orders. This would mean that it would be required to handle these two order types in the same way.The work on isolation orders will also generate transactions, that potentially are billable, should be accounted etc Thanks & Best Regards,Nipun

Has anyone here gone through the process of properly sizing the hardware requirements for deploying the IFS EAM solution?I’m currently working with a client that operates a single cargo ship and will have around 20 concurrent users accessing the system. I’m looking for guidance or best practices on how to specify the right server resources (CPU, memory, and especially storage capacity) for this type of setup.Any references, calculation guidelines, or examples from similar implementations would be greatly appreciated.

Connected objects is a functionality designed for identifying things that need to be isolated before work in the IFS EAM module.  See screen shot This is very useful, but for some reason, I can’t find the connections in the technician portal or on mobile work order.  Am I missing something?  Is there something that needs set up?

Dear All,When material is issued from MWo Maintenance as part of remote warehouse (Van Stock), MMR (Maintenance Material Requisition)will be created in IFS Cloud through sync process. Is there a way to identify that MMR is created through MWo. Hello community,Our client upgraded to 25R1 recently, and since then, for “lot tracking” part, an asteric “*” is filled by default in Register Arrival > Receive with Serial/Lots. Therefore there is no “flag” to fill up that number.Previously in 24R2, whenever the assistant Receive with Serial/Lots was opened, the field Lot/Batch No turned empty, which was forcing the user to enter the Lot No. It lead to the following misleading behavior:In case of “Receive to stock”, we get an error message after validating the reception confirmation pop-up (Your part will be received ...) : “a lot number must be entered for this part”. Hello all Is it possible within IFS to create a new assistant from a screen, such as Task Material. We have a case where our technicians may need to reserve stock. I’ve asked the question before, and the response was that you cannot reserve stock from the Task Material screen, however… the question here is… can we create a new assistant that would do it?ThanksJames 

I’ve seen other questions or discussions but have not yet found a solution. I’m upgrading from APP9 to Cloud and plan to use part serial rename functionality after the upgrade. This is a great option for recording transactions and history of a part number and/or serial number change. However, if that part serial exists as a serial object the rename functionality cannot be used. The error says: The serial exists in Service management and cannot be renamed. Post upgrade we don’t intend to use serial object; but since we’ve been using IFS for 20 years we have thousands of serial objects already. Therefore if we need to service one of these serial objects again and it has a modification which changes the part number, we have no way to use the rename functionality. Is there a way around this issue or shortfall in IFS? Is there some cleanup that could be performed on serial objects prior to upgrading? Is there an alternative way to rename a part serial that I am not aware of? 

In Oil & Gas industries are very common the units/vessel shutdown for a certain time of the year.Is there any solution in IFS APP 10 to manage this shutdown period inside the IFS Work Orders?

Is there a standard procedure or recommended way to add a picture (or other attachments, like maintenance instructions) to multiple functional objects based on a specific field, such as Type Designation or Object Type?What I would like to achieve is; I upload media to a specific type designation →  it would automatically show on all functional objects of that type determined, or do I need to attach the media items one by one to objects?Any suggestions or best practices for mass attaching files or automating this process are appreciated. BR, Ville

How to debug sql triggered from IFS Cloud using Oracle sql developer ?

Hi I have added the Site information under Enterprise data however, I don't see the site information appearing under Functional Object or Work Task templates. I am encountering  this issue in the training environment. Am I doing anything wrong? any suggestions?  

Can someone point me in the right direction to pull the ASC 842 Reports that IFS produces.  I have this snippet of information about the reporting but can’t seem to find where to run them:  

When I use the Failure Analysis Setup Navigator I can add a Function to an Item Class, but then when I select the Function I thought I was supposed to get the ability to add a Fault Type Code. However, I do not see a way to do so. I cannot find any screenshots anywhere that shows what this specific interface is supposed to look like, but I think a table is missing. Does anybody have any idea what is going on?
