According to the customer scenario, I created 3 PM Actions with the same starting value and intervals for 3 different objects, and then grouped them using a PM Group. After that, measurements were entered for all 3 objects. For PM 1 and PM 2, the entered measurements exceeded the threshold value. However, for PM 3, the measurement was below the Planned Value. After running the condition generation job:For PM 1 and PM 2, the same Work Request was created due to the PM Grouping. For PM 3, no Work Request was created since the valid measurement was not met, which seems correct. However, my concern is that since all 3 PM Actions are grouped together, is this the expected standard behavior? Should the system also create the same Work Request for the 3rd PM Action because it belongs to the same PM Group?Could someone please clarify the standard system behavior in this scenario? Thanks.

Hello,We have a requirement to create two separate permission sets in IFS Cloud 25R1 for Functional Objects. One permission set should allow users to create and modify Functional Objects without delete access, while another permission set should allow users to view and modify existing Functional Objects without create or delete access.During our analysis, we observed that in Entity Action Grants, the CRUD permissions appear to be bundled together (Create, Update, Delete). Because of this, it seems that Create/Delete and Update/Delete access cannot be separated individually.Could you please suggest if there is any recommended approach or best practice to achieve this requirement?
Hi Team,We are looking for clarification regarding the PM Calendar Generation process and the WO Generation Lead Time field. The field description for WO Generation Lead Time indicates that it is included during Work Order generation. We would like to understand whether this lead time is also considered when calculating or evaluating the PM Due Date used by the PM Calendar Generation database task (SYSDATE). For example, if a PM has: - Due Date: 6-Jun-2026- WO Generation Lead Time: 3 days Will the database task effectively consider the PM as due from 3-Jun-2026 (Due Date minus Lead Time), or is the Due Date calculation unaffected and the lead time only used during Work Order generation? Could you please clarify the expected behavior? Thank you.

Community,Testing in IFS Cloud (25R2), Service Request, but I am not able to find the Create Receive Order/Customer Order, which is to bring/ship Customer Owned object back from/to customer. Any idea?
Hello,Does anyone have a use case where a Functional Object or structure can remain In Operation however it has limited capability until the relevant objects below it are returned to full service. How is this handled in IFS Cloud? Many thanks.
Basically, I want to update a custom field on the Work Task (JtTask) page, from the Tech Portal Work Task Detail page. I notice that some fields on the JtTask are updated when you update the fields on the Work Details screen, e.g. Long Description. How can I add the custom field that is on JtTask to be updated from the Work Task Detail (JtExecutionInstance) page? We thought a workflow may be the solution, but given how the long description is updated, I wondered if there was any other way?? (Even something like, having the same custom field name on both entities… does it then map it?)Thanks for any ideas.
Dear All, I am learning more about Permits and Isolation Orders but I run into a weird phenomenon that I can’t seem to explain. I created some basic data (Permit Type, Isolation Type, Isolation Template, Allowed Connections Permit/Isolation...).From there I created a Work Task Template and connected a Permit Type and Isolation Template ID to the work task template, selected ‘YES’ for the ‘Generate’ Column. And I activated the Work Task Template. Next I wanted to see the effects when creating a new Work Order. So I started from ‘New Fault Report’ with a random Object and selected ‘Earliest Start’ and ‘Latest Finish’ date. After that I used ‘Jobs and Templates’ to select my Work Task Template. That was correctly ingrated and my permit was copied into the Work Order. I dod however notice that the ‘Valid From’ and ‘Valid To’ date of my permit did not match the ‘Earliest Start’ and ‘Latest Finish’ date. Rather, the “Valid From Date” seems to be set to the sysdate at the moment of creation a
Hi All, Question about setting a structure of connected objects ‘Out of Operation’. We have various methods of connecting our Functional and Serial Objects:Main Structure (‘Function’ = Parent / Child connection) Additional Structures (Location /From / TO / Process / Process / Pipesystem / Electrical) Connected Objects With the Main structure we can set the Operational Status of the entire Parent-Child tree to ‘Out of Operation’ using the action button ‘Operational Status’ > ‘Set Structure Out of Operation’ When I check the other Object Structures, that function does not seems to be present. I can set the selected Object in ‘Out of Operation’, but to disable the objects connected through the ‘Electrical’ structure, I need to select them as well and click ‘Out of Operation’ again. And if I want to continue down the path I have to click ‘Next level’ to go deeper into the structure. Is there no option to set the entire structure to ‘Out of Operation’? When I take it when step further
What are the consequences or risks if we hide certain field views from the global context via visible checkbox? Is that recommended way or do you have a better suggestion? We would like to hide certain fields from view so that page visitors do not see all the content on the page.
My organization has recently moved to IFS and i am hoping that there are a couple fleet managers out there that are managing multiple sites and equipment types and have some good insights into object hierarchies.
Community,We are on APP10/UPD9, We are using Create Repair Work Order Assistant to create repair work order when it is requested. One thing quite annoying is, Work Type is automatic fetched into Repair Work Order and we must manually enter both on header and task level. For normal work order or service request, we are using Service Contract so system auto fetch the work type to work order.Kindly advise where we could set up default work type for Repair Work Order?Thank you.
Hi Team,I am looking to understand the standard procedure for configuring Special Price and Fixed Price logic across multiple positions within an IFS Cloud Complex Assembly Service Contract. Despite initial attempts to set these up, the results are not accurate. Can anyone provide the specific configuration steps or documentation detailing how to correctly apply these pricing rules? Thanks
Hi,Can someone explain me how the tolerance defined under Maintenance Triggers works for Conditioned based PM Actions?I entered the measurement where the relevant (Planned Value - recorded measurement) / Recorded measurement value is greater than the defined Tolerance %. But nothing changes in the PM Plan.So I need to check on this functionality to use it with Replacements + PM Grouping for a business scenario.Thank you!
We have a workflow that sends e-mails following PR Authorization. The workflow creates the e-mail in a HTML format. However, our default mail sender is configured to send mail as plain text. So when the mails are sent, they don’t look good. When you have a custom event action, you can specify what sender you want to use: However, from a workflow… I’m not clear how you specify the sender: Any input appreciated. Thanks
When we try to set up a user as Mobile User, we get this error message.I suspect it is because we have previously had this user setup as a mobile user, however, due to some changes in the system, we had to link the user to another employee record. This user had mobile work assignments previously. How do we clear this?

We have identified a limitation in IFS Applications related to overtime registration via the Work Task page, where the recorded overtime does not reflect under attendance hours in the Time Registration.Steps to ReproduceNavigate to the Work Task page. Add time reports by registering overtime hours (e.g., 12 hours).>Authorize the Time Work Task Time Reports Navigate to Time Registration-Grid View.Time Registration-Grid ViewObserved BehaviourThe overtime recorded through the Work Task page is not reflected under attendance hours in the Time Registration Grid View. However, when the same overtime is manually added directly in the Time Registration Grid View, the attendance hours are updated correctly.Expected BehaviorOvertime recorded via the Work Task page should automatically appear under attendance hours in the Time Registration Grid View. Users should not need to manually re-enter overtime in the grid view.Business RequirementIf the Work Task page allows to enter the Job Hours, it
Hi all, We have a customer requirement related to Linear Assets in IFS Cloud and would like to understand whether anyone has implemented a functional or technical solution for a similar scenario, or if there is any official recommendation from IFS regarding this limitation. The customer requires the capability to modify the topology of existing Linear Assets, including:changing the physical extension/length of the Linear Asset; splitting existing child elements into new elements; creating new Linear Assets derived from an existing one; preserving relationships with active Work Orders, PM Plans and historical maintenance transactions. The business expectation is that when an existing Linear Asset is segmented into two or more new Linear Assets, all historical operational information should continue to be available and usable for future planning and maintenance execution in the newly created assets/elements.However, based on our analysis and tests, we understand that this is not technicall
Hi, I saw a new enhancement in the 25R1 release document regarding connecting work tasks to project activities rather than at work order level. However, I have tested this out and it does not appear in the work task screen. Have I missed anything? Thanks,George.
Hi all, Is there a way to limit the options available to choose from as the Supply Code on Material Line of a (Request) Work Task?Or limit what a user can choose? We want to use only ‘Invent Order’ and want to prevent users from choosing other options by mistake.Thanks,Dulshan.
Hi All,When WO is executed through MWO and technician uses travel portion by using start travel and Waiting at location options, clocking will be generated for travel category. Usually in implementation projects how we calculate the travel resource group cost per hour ?Following components are arrived from my thought process -Average salary of resources per skill per hour Average transportation cost per hour. But here this is no compulsion of which vehicle type will be used per instant. Depreciation cost per hour of the vehicle. But here there is no compulsion on vehicle type used per instant.Though this might not be application consultant responsibility to suggest customer instead it depends on past experience of customer and advice through management consultant. But this question arises frequently in project implementations. I know PSO has travel models where cost/mile calculation functionality is available but in case of ESM and EAM solution any advice on this topic will help. Thanks
