Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

At Honda Aero we use VIM to maintain our jet engines.  We upgraded to Apps 10 back in December of 2021.We use Intersite between 2 Companies to do invoicing and payments.  It’s a long story…During the initial implementation project (on Version 7.5) we didn’t find a good way to do quoting and invoicing so we created a monster way to do it.We use Maintenance Orders for the work and found that Apps 10 has a Maintenance Order Quote process.We paid IFS to have a Services Consultant test it and try to get it to work, but she gave up and said it needed more fixes. This was back on Apps 10 Update 3, I think it was.We are now on Update 15 of Apps 10 On Premise version (not the Aurena or Cloud).My question is this:Do you know if the Maintenance Order Quote process functions completely now?  And if it does, who from IFS can work with us to get it going here?

Hi,I am a bit confused by Service Contract vs Request Contract. I have been working with Service Contracts but not with Request Contracts.There seems to be some similarities/overlapping functionality, but are there an “official” recomendation or best practice when to use either one of them?Best Regards,Jonas Hermansson

We just upgraded to  Apps 10 UPD 14, (from UPD 8) and are now being asked to re-enter our credentials each time a work task is finished. This is the case every time, unless they Create New Work, and enter it in themselves. I am unable to find a setting to turn off the re-entering of credentials. Anyone have an idea?

We have an upgrade project where Configured Parts are manufacured, sold and Maintained. In the Maintenance process, sometimes the configured part need to be replaced, and this requirements starts from an Service Order. The Configured part needs to be procured, and belongs to the BoM as maintained.As the only scenario for now is to create an customer order line but this has several negative side effects. All service technichian will need to run different processes if it is an configured part or not, the progress and delivery date of the parts will not be visible to the service order. The cost follow up of the service order will not be aligned with the cost of the configured part.Is there any ongoing solution to include this Gap into the Core solution?

Hi,although I logged this issue before we now experience the same problem again on our environments.I have tried this with the Edge Browser (as per previous topic answer) and with 3 different Android devices and 2 separate application users. For all of them there is no sound on the Mobile Device. That means that the engineer cannot hear the person in the back-office.What needs to be done to get this working again?It is a 21R2 environment.Thanks,Marc

Hi in a Customer project we struggle with material scourcing.   The example is where there is an central wharehouse somewhere within the same country and the service is to be done eslewhere. Therefore we need to have an freight forwarder to perform the transport.In the current solution where you have an material demand in a work order one create an Maintenance Material Requistion, which may then create an Pick List.  There is an possible solution to create an transportation task. But the transportation task does not have the functionality of the Shipment, where we are able to assign the transport to an specific Freight forwarder and produce transportation documents.We are in need of creating Shimpent out of the Planned material where we need to deterimne if the material shall be delivered to the address of the work order or an internal address ( and the service tech will bring the goods to customer) , When the shipment is performed the goods must be issued and included into the next In

Hi, Can someone please explain how to setup entity filters. There is a mobile user where I can see some filters are applied to several entities. In the Grouped push filter map I am able to see what is the filter that has been applied. According to the IFS documentation, there are two types of initialization defined as follows:Initialization - sends pending transactions to the mobile app,; deleted local database on mobile app; re-syncs all data. Is it possible to generate Work Orders/ Work Tasks for Contractors from PM Actions and/or Work Task Templates. If the customer want the Maintenance history in their system, but the Work Task is always executed by a Contractor, I would like to connecte the Contractor and Contractor Coordinator already from the PM generation, but I do not see these fields in the PM action.And in addition you would like a no-part line purchase requisition linked to the task, so that the Purchase Order Supplier Invoice can be matched back to the work task.Will this require configuration, or is it available within the already available business logic?/kim

I am struggling to filter out Equipment Objects for mwo Maintenance 10 v1.6 Anytime I put a permission set filter for that entity and apply it to the ObjectInformation Activity I get sync errors.  Even a simple filter of 1=2 gives me errors.   Anyone been able to successfully use a permission set filter on this entity? 

Hi All.I’m facing a failed transaction if the user report time in action tab before acept or start work, after report time, the user can cancel and this is causing the failed transaction bellow.Could someone help with this situation?I understand if the status is still assigned or accepted, the app should not allow to report time since the work has not started.Using apps10 UPD14, mwo maintenance 10 Work still assigned Time reported, no failed transaction Failed after cancel the assignment in mobile.

The issues occurs when a Work order is transferred to mobile from IEE , It creates 2 work assignments instead of the one . This  happens even when a resource is allocated initially and a work assignment is created and when its transferred to mobile it automatically creates a another work assignment . The issue is only present for a single resource group in the customer environment and from this resource group one user is not effected with the mentioned issue .Below is the test plan for the following issue :Create Work order  Add a Work task Add resource and create work assignmentTransfer work task to mobile As you can see here, after transferring the work task to mobile , another work assignment is created . There the initial work assignment of 8hr is split into two 4hr work assignments Initially the maintenance  team has checked the basic data and has verified that they are correct. And during investigation I have checked the Mobile_work_Order_API.Generate_Wo_To_Mobile function which

Can someone tell me how the Push Enabled box gets checked for mobile users? On this screen it is read-only.  

Hi all,We would like to view on a Map, all the Functional and Serial Objects, and their operational status for instance. The environment is IFS Cloud 21R2.We set up the GIS Map with a base map and a layer pointing to the LU for these IFS business objects.We can see the layers on the Map but no “dot” for the IFS business objects, even though these objects have a Map position linked to them.Are the IFS Objects with their Map position not enough by themselves to be displayed on the GIS Map ?Is there antoher required setting ?Kind regardsLénaïc

Can anybody shed some light on this? Say, our system goes down and a dedicated team from IFS works on this. The ticket owners change with time right? That’s totally alright. How can we find an escalation point of contact for the specific issue? We do understand that there can be delays. But it would be nice to have this contact. Hi All.Does anybody know about this process?Using apps10 UPD14, mwo maintenance 10, after incomplete status in mobile, the work task transferred to mobile flag is still checked and also in the work assignment transferred screen with assigned transfer status. Even choosing the return option in mobile after complete and not creating another assignment. If I choose the other direction in mobile, after incomplete, to keep first and then return, the process works well and the flag transferred to mobile is unchecked. There is no failed transaction. @Bandula , @James Ashmore or anyone else.Tks a lot for help.Please see prints.     

We are having an issue with initialization times being 2 hours long.  After update initialization was just 2 minutes but has gone up, “MobileObjextEI” entity seems to be the hang up. Once that entity runs initialization completes.

After entering the needed data on the Service Request, the “Next” button is not active. This used to be active. Anyone knows why this is not active and how to change this?

Hi Community,does anybody know where the the Option “Sync All Objects”, which has been located on the TAS in Apps10, is located in the Cloud version? We have a upgraded a Customer from Apps10 to Cloud and the Object synchronization is disabled for the Native Apps. BR Sven
