I am seeking a solution to manage shop orders in a production workflow where parts are built, tuned, and tested. The process should allow for a dynamic flow such that:Operation 10: Approved → Progress to Operation 20 Operation 20: Approved → Progress to Operation 30 Operation 30: Approved → Progress to Operation 40 Operation 40: If a failure is detected during testing, the part should be reset and moved back to Operation 20 for reprocessing.

Hello All, We are currently using IFS MWO Service 10 (UPD9) and we are experiencing increased Initialization time and slowness in MWO App. When we referred to the Lobby Page for Mobile App Status we noticed ‘Queued Out Messages’ has reached almost 700,000 and would you kindly share your thoughts and advice if there is any connection related to the above Message Queue and any recommendation on reducing the increased initialization time? Hello,Surely, I must be missing something.  I have a document(s) attached to Project Definition but I cannot view the document from the attachments pane.  The eyeball isn’t there.  I don’t have a problem using view document from the document revision itself.  Any ideas what would cause this?  Patrick

  Hello,I need some help, we have set up the % tolerance for invoicing which works very well for non-stocked items, but I can't get it to work for Inventory part? Is this the reason for a stored item in the PUMP? Is it necessary to make additional settings or not? Thank you for your help.

​@Alexander Heinze probably you’ll be able to answer this one.Is there any way to handle subcontracting usecase in NGSM using Requests? In ESM/EAM you can have subcontractors added to the work orders → generate Purchase Orders → contractors could execute the Work Task using B2B portal.In NGSM 24R2 I couldn’t find anything similar. If this feature is not available yet, do you have any idea if it’s on the roadmap? 

Hi, I can’t find any documentation related to IFS App 10/IFS Cloud or IFS in general on what are the standard VAT codes and VAT codes setup.I’m new to IFS, used to be using SAP ERP where it was much clearer to me. Do you have any ideas? Thanks!

Can you peg/un-peg parts through the purchase order line?  I know you can manually peg through the customer order line or shop order, to an incoming PO but as a procurement team we would like the ability to manually peg a purchase order line to a customer/shop order via the PO.

We are in the progress of planning the update from IFS Cloud 24R1 to 24R2. At the same time we would like to apply SU3. I have searched far and wide for guidelines but came up short. Our rough plan now is to first apply the RU and then apply the SU before creating the delivering to Use Place.Is there any best practices or guidelines available? Does anyone like to share their experiences?

We have previously taken a Out-of-band (OOB) fix for a critical bug that has been resolved in a SU. We have taken the SU when it was release. Before taking the SU, we obsoleted the files in our solution repository.Is it possible for us to completely remove the customisation files now after we have taken the SU and we are back on “core level” for these entities? This will obviously also apply for any other customisation, not only for OOBs.

When I press the print button on any object I get the print dialogue and it has the user email.Is there a way to disable having the user email here?I have found a system parameter but it does not seem to do anything.

Hi allWe are looking into the feasibility of batch tracking in Astea/Astea mobile. We are currently in the exploratory phase, and any advice or ideas are much appreciated.The products in question are bottles/containers that we deliver to customers (and later pick up) or use as part of service.Serialisation is not an option due to the demands this would put on logistics.My idea is to have a bar code sticker (+print) on the product that is a combination of product id + batch (so it will have to be removed/added as part of production). The SA will then just scan the products upon delivery/pick up, and this will automatically update the service order with the products + batches.Volume and ease of use are essential: an SA may do 20-25 deliveries a day, and each deliveries may include 2 to 15 products delivered and the same number picked up.

New Customer, currently going live in January 2023We are on 22R1SU5, and we frequently get many server errors when navigating pages - sometimes these go away when hitting refresh / reload, but occasionally these persist.  A user this morning was going into “Supplier Invoices for Final Posting Analysis” and was repeatedly getting the server error: Error while serializing contents.This error happens when the server cannot serialize the data to be sent to the client.A common cause is that one attribute's length exceeds the defined maxlength in the projection.To find more info, open Log Window or Debug Console, refresh and then check Network Tab in DevTools. We have a scenario where we sometimes need to rework a purchased component.For this purpose we use repair shop order with repair structure and routing. This works fine except that no cost for machine/labor time is captured by shop order cost. Only purchase cost related to cost template used for part (P-140 in my example) are captured.As a test I created a manufactured structure/routing for same part number. Then created and reported shop order.  This works fine, system captures labor and machine cost despite same cost template (P-140) is used!I tried different settings to get this to work also for repair shop order. The only way I managed to capture cost is by adding cost bucket (e.g. 300) used for manufacturing to template P-140. This is not a good solution and causes a risk for wrong cost in cost calculation.Any ideas if/how this can be solved?

Hello,What’s the best way to make a GL account inactive in IFS Cloud? The account must of course be retained as it has historical data and transactions but no new postings to it should be allowed (no manual voucher postings, not allowed to be use in prepostings and no postings to it via posting control)I set the valid period on it to expire but I can still add the account into a posting control.

Can I see my Community notifications in the Community itself? I currently get them in my emails, but the mails are cluttered already (yes there is a folder for Community). I have subscribed to some groups, so I get mails from them as well. I am sure this is common for most others as well.I can see a notification when there is a private message. Similarly, is there a way to see notifications i.e. mentions, replies, best answers inside the Community portal itself?  

Dear community, Each month we raise a voucher to manually accrue depreciation on some of our assets.  As the depreciation accounts are ledger accounts we process the journal as a Q voucher.  Unfortunately, we are not able to create an interim (reversal) from a Q voucher.Are you aware of any way to get around this so we don’t have to manually post a second journal to reverse the Q? Any ideas?  Thanks, David.

Hi,We have number of SQL quick reports in cloud with user prompts (parameters). For an example we have defined it in the sql query where condition as below,‘&DATE_FROM’ So, in the cloud application Parameter page the label text is also shown as DATE_FROM. We simply want to appear this label text as Date From. Basically what we need to do is to remove the _ with a space. I know this works from the database side if we make it as ‘&Date From’. But when we execute from the cloud application it fails. Is there a way to achieve this? ThanksRoshanga
