Hi Experts,One of our customers is seeking guidance on modifying the DatabaseConnectionString parameter and they are using Azure SQL. Question:Would it be advisable to use an IP address and port instead of the SQL Server name to mitigate potential DNS caching issues? Current Connection String:<DatabaseConnectionString>Server=xxxx.database.windows.net;database=xxxx;user id=XXXXXXXXX;password='xxxxxxxx';Enlist='false';pooling=true;Application Name='FSMServer';Min Pool Size=20;Max Pool Size=1000;</DatabaseConnectionString> -Given that they are using Azure SQL, is this approach feasible?-If so, what steps should be taken to implement it correctly? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Best regards,Suvini Samarasekara.

Hi, we have just gone to 24R2 and I am testing DocMan. When I go to connect an object I am getting the following error message - I have looked at the projections and everything appears to be granted to the permission set I am using. However I have noticed that there are no database task granted to the permission set, is that my issue and if yes does anyone one know the name of the database task I need to grant for connecting a document revision to an object in IFS Cloud? The strange thing if I am in an object and want to attach the docman revision I can, I just can’t do it from the doc man revision, what am I doing wrong?

Hi There,Could someone please help me with this issue. I have created a obstructive maintenance work which can be clearly seen in the both visual shop order operation planning as well as smart manufacturing planning board. This obstructive work is overloading the work center on which the operations are already planned. So, now as per MSO functionality, the operations need to reschedule for the other days where work center is available but this is not happening after finite scheduling and operations are getting loaded on the days of maintenance work. Also attached the MSO load file for further reference.   Regards,Mithun K V

Hello! We are working on IFS Cloud 23R3SU6 and SU9 - different environments -  I have a custom PL/SQL Package - A non-IFS package created in PL/SQL Developer and deployed directly in the Oracle database -  Comp_Util_API is a utility package. The package has the constant for the module, lu, lu type defined.  The Package appears in the Method LOV of the “New Database Task” and it appears under the right Component. with all different functions and procedures.  I recently needed a new procedure for a new DB Task. developed the procedure as usual and tested it to be working fine.  I refreshed all server Caches - multiple times - and logged out and back in - multiple times - but the new developed procedure doesn’t appear in the method.  I found these old posts here: Custom Package Procedure not available in New Database Task | IFS Community  Ran this procedure BEGIN Installation_SYS.Grant_Privileged_Grantee('IFSSYS', TRUE); END; / and didn’t work. Custom package not visible | IFS Community

Hello everyone,We have started implementing E-Sign on Cloud 23R2 and are experiencing problems loading .P12 certificates to be used in the digital signature process for Documents. The message “Error when importing certificate.” returns.I would like to know if there is any condition that must be met or if there is any interference from Azure in this process. If anyone knows of any tutorials other than the Cloud Documentation that they can share, I would be grateful.Sincerely,

Hi, We have a requirement where an PO acknowledger should be restricted from making changes in PO(change in amount). Only authorizers should be eligible to make a change in the PO.  Can this be handled using a permission set or is there a basic set up that can handle this.

We are creating transactions for transfer of fixed assets.  This uses the FAP51 is used for ‘Transfer Sale, Acquisition Value, Counter Posting’ Posting type.  The control type associated with this is AC1.  Our accounting team would like to have AC8 used so that the account is different when going to one company vs. another.  When we attempt to connect FAP51 to AC8, we are unable.  Is this possible to do so that we can have different accounts by company for transfers, or do we need to do a GL adjustment to move the $ after the transfer is complete?Thank you for your consideration.Robin

The Eastern Time changed in the U.S. from EST (UTC-5) to EDT (UTC-4) this past Sunday.  I have updated the time zone offset for our associated site and the IFS Timeclock Clockings are still incorrect by one hour. Any ideas on how to get the time zone update to be reflected within the IFS Timeclock?

Dear All As you can see IFS supported on now OAUTH2 based authentication when sending emails from IFS https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r1/030_administration/030_integration/300_ifs_connect/010_configure_connect/060_transport_connectors/configure_mail_transport_connector/#usage_of_default_mail_sender_and_override_mail_sender_parameters Does any one know feature difference with 'Authorization Code' and 'Client Credentials' options, the difference between security point of view and feature point of view.       2. I think in either option you have to do is register new App in Azure App registration and make sure you granted correct APi permission , does any one know what exactly need to be granted , such as Mail.Send or office 365 exchange online etc..it would be grate to know experience from sone one already used this feature and get it working.krAmila

Hi Community, actually i fight lwith IFS Support and got this answer :====================== Start of fragment =================================== would like to reiterate what we mentioned before : “MS will never create any supplies inside PTF, that’s the idea with PTF. To create a stable production situation. This means they will not get supplies matching the demand dates inside PTF.”A couple of points to make :>> We have tested this in various Cloud versions, including 24R1 and application works as expected. Hence, you will not get any supplies generated within the dates you mentioned before====================== end of fragment ===================================This destroys all my assumed knowledge about IFS Master Scheduling. In general- DTF -> corresponds to a frozen zone, no change in demand and supply- PTF -> planning period, here supplies are created for the forecast recorded in the period in the form of shop order requisition, with certain parameters also over the
