As we are upgrading from IFS8 to IFS10,we need to find and print picklists by customer , In IFS 8 we have following screen, i cannot find anything like that in IFS10, Although we are not using consolidated picklists , I checked and i cannot consolidate picklists by customer no. any one have any idea on how to approach this in IFS10. Thanks 

Have ato re-print a large batch of customer invoices that have already been created previously. How can we re-print these in one go, instead of going into each one individually?

Hi,we are trying to set a basic budget control for projects. The primary objective we want to achieve is, in relationship to a project, to stop a purchase requisition or a purchase order when their cost exceeds a predefined budget. I’m looking into how to create budget in Forecasting Module: selecting the project > creating forecast > choosing Cost Estimated on activity level and keeping the EAC Recalculated. After confirming and approving, I set the forecast as active budget. Then I enable budget control for the single project.Setting rules (in Project Budget Control Rules List window) I decide on which cost element the budget should apply.I would like to know, at this point is the budget already working? On which cost is the budget having control (Committed Cost/Used Cost/Actual Cost/..?) ? Is there a visual alert if a user attempts to exceed the budget? I don’t have the possibility to make proper tests right know, so that’s why I’m asking.Thank you, Paola

We are running Apps10 UPD6.  I’m looking for information that details the differences between Serial Objects and Functional Objects.  There were several changes between 8 and 10, and we need to understand the benefits that serial objects bring over functional (what can you do with serial objects that you cannot with functional).  Is anyone aware of any documentation that specifically compares the two?  We are using objects to track, manage, and provide services on customer owned assets.

Before I open a case with IFS. I was wondering if anyone have an idea about the following error window. It happens when I try to access the Shop Floor Workbench. The window error only pop up for some users no all the users. It looks like pop up when the user try to access Shop Floor Workbench the first time. 

HelloI want to log history on the ‘Notes’ in Customer Master ‘Invoice’ Tab. I can’t seems to be successful. Any ideas how to get these Notes in History Log Please. IFS8So far i logged history on tables, 'IDENTITY_INVOICE_INFO_TAB' ,'FIN_NOTE_TEXT_TAB','IDENTITY_NOTE_TAB'IDENTITY_NOTE_TAB does not seems to work. any ideas how can i get customer number, and latest update on note from history_log_tab , history_log_attribute_tab  tables

We have a lobby by week that is not sorting the MM/DD date correctly since it treats it as text.Can we:1.) change it to a Date (didn’t work in the DataSource) so it sorts/orders correctly.2.) Add a leading zero to single-digit months and days.  

Hello All, I am currently looking for a way in IFS to quickly understand the impact of material cost changes, and pricing actions that should take place. Currently, we change our material pricing quarterly. There is significant interdependence between our material cost and the pricing of our product. It seems that within IFS, we are looking in the rear view mirror, as we do not know the impact of the changes to material cost until we have made them. At times we are finding that our cost to manufacture the product exceeds the price we are selling to our customers for.  I’ve reviewed a few areas in IFS, but I have not found a module that allows you to evaluate the cost impact of a material price change. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyoneA customer uses IFS app10. I try to finde a Report or an analysing window which shows you the Postings of a certain inventory part. Right now i am only able to go into the inventory transaction history, go into the details, go into the TAB accounting and get the financial posting for it. This way i need to open every inventory transaction and write down the voucher number.In the window Dinstribution and manufacturing posting analysis I cannot search by inventory part.Does anyone knows the query for a quick report how to get the Inventory postings from the inventory transaction history, searching by inventory part number? Best RegardsSophal

Hi, we are struggling with how to attach an additional file to a service order via Mobile edge.If I click on the paperclip, it opens the "Attachments" box.  then I click on the big orange + button which gives some choices to add "From file", "New photo", "New video", From Album", New sketch", "New audio clip".  I want to attach a pdf or an Excel file.So I click on "From file" but then get a box called "Imported" which is empty and I cannot find any way to get the file which is stored on my device, into this list to be able to attach it to the call.How can an SA attach a file to a call?We have Mobile Edge version 15.3.0.0.1Thanks

We have a generic Person ID that is used at our company, which when used signifies that everyone at the company has access to viewing the document. This generic Person ID is an asterisk (*). When this is listed in the Person ID, there is no security to prevent anyone from viewing the document.I have three questions:1- Is there a way to deny viewing access to a user even when the asterisk is used in the Person ID field?  2- How can I control who belongs to this group signified by the asterisk?3- If the two questions above are impossible, would it be possible to create a warning pop up window event that will prevent specific users from accessing certain classes of documents, and in the moment when the user clicks to view an event it will reject the access? I know how to create pop up warning windows but in using an event, but in this case nothing could fire the event. Any idea or example? Screenshots would be helpful or a tutorial document. 

Has anyone come across the PL/SQL connectionresetting every 3 minutes if unused?If so, how do you resolve this or troubleshoot this. Thank you. 

Hi, currently, our customer has the following requirements:For one certain Engineering Part , eg: Parts-A,after “Engineering Transfer”:in Site-1 , it is manufacture partsin Site-2,  it is purchause partsCan IFS do this? and how?(because manufature/buy is attribute of “Engineering Part”,  not “Part Transfer Template”, seems IFS cannot meet this requirement. )  

I created a custom API that returns one of two values (let’s say ‘0’ and ‘1’). It needs to run every four hours. If the value is ‘0’, then an email needs to go out.While I don’t need help with creating the database task and scheduling it to run, I don’t know how to then get an email to send. Do I make an Event? If so, how do I tie it to the scheduled task? Do I do something else??Let’s assume the Scheduled Task is named “Neraks_Amazing_Task”.Thanks!    

We use IFS10Update6, and have several operational reports that we utilize SSRS for.  I needed to make a change to a couple of these reports, but as of this morning, IFS Data Source is no longer available in Visual Studio (version 19) as an embedded connection type.  I can’t refresh fields on my datasets, and I would imagine this would affect other aspects of report development and deployment as well. I hadn’t made any changes to the Visual Studio software, though I updated the software to see if it fixed the problem, which it did not.  Any ideas on what could cause this to happen and/or potential solutions?  Thank you in advance.

We have recently upgraded from IFS8 to IFS10 and use purchase requisition authorisation. When we were on IFS8, if a purchase req had no supplier it was not possible to authorise it. An error message stating “Authorization denied - Supplier has to be specified”.  We have set up IFS10 the same way but now IFS will allow us to authorize the req.  There are no custom events creating this message, so I think this is a standard message.  Has the standard functionality changed in this area or is there a way I can setup IFS10 to work the same way, or would it need a custom event?  

Hi Community, I need to restrict access to the different nodes in the Aurena navigator.For example, only managers should see the Manager services node in the Human Capital Management.What I noted is that all sub menus under Human Capital management is connected to the client PersonNavigator. When the projection PersonNavigator is granted to the user, all the nodes connected to it are shown regardless user has access.How can we hide the navigator items users are not suppose to see? Regards,Krish

I have 8 users who we are enabling in Aurena for use of Shop Floor Workbench on a mobile device.  7 of the users, with identical permission sets, work just fine but one gets this error - Any ideas? 

Hi, How to create customer order from purchase order ?  I would like to know what basic data setup is needed to setup the functionality in IFS Aurena

I am currently working on starting to build utilization of the jobs and operations of separate standard jobs for the installation side of our company. I am finding that the Jobs/Operations are a bit clunky to work with first off. We will be moving to IFS 10 shortly and I am wondering what is the difference between the operations vs Work Tasks. Will what I create move into there easily, do they function similar? Or am I best off to wait until we move into 10 to turn on this utilization? And if it helps to know we will not be moving into Aurena with this upgrade yet.
