The customer is trying to do an “All Levels Part Cost Calculation”The Inventory Part below is a Manufactured part When you execute the “All Levels Part Cost Calculation” for Cost Set 2If I look at the Inventory Transactions History the Total Cost for the part is not in a negative Do you have any idea why the error message would come up, and how would we fix this?

Hello, I have noticed that my PM Calendar Generation has stopped in 2021. Prior to that, the Maintenance Plans were generating without issue. I have checked the Plan, which is set for 2023: The PM Actions are setup with different intervals:The Calendar itself is valid:However, the system has stopped planning them:I have noticed that if I RMB and select regenerate plan, it does work:The scheduled database task is setup with the following parameters, which have not been changed since it was configured originally.  I’m not sure what the issue could be at this point. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

When someone clicks on Menu > Search > Event Monitor > Event Search, is there an admin change that can be made so that users can get directly to the Event Search query instead of having to click on the Query button?

Hello!Anyone ever add custom text to screens that are purely informational? There are a few business processes that I’d like to set rules for or reminders to people. Heck, I’d like to even explain the page for people when they visit it. I can’t figure out how to have custom fields or info cards do this.No big deal if it isn’t possible, just thought I’d ask the community if someone else has done it. It’ll save me having to explain how things work for the hundredth time.IFSAPP9 by the way, plans to upgrade to 10 or cloud in next year.

Hi all,Requirement : Send an email with all the attachments added in a Purchase Order / Purchase Order Line.The files are stored in FTP, therefore I cant use the edm_file_storate_tab to get the BLOB.So, I tried to use  Batch_Transfer_Handler_Api.Download_From_Ftp method  to get the files, and attach to email.And it worked for one particular document, but its failling with the below error for other documents, which are in same class, same ftp location, attached to same Purchase Order Line. Details/setup in the Document Revision screen for both are also same. The failling documents are viewable on the application without any error.Debug information also showing the same path/fileName as in edm_file_tab for these failling documents.Could you please advise on any possible reasons to failing the ftp download? or please suggest another option to attach these docs in FTP to an email.Appreciate your help.Thank you! 

In the document-revision mask there is a check-box ‘structure’. The helb says about this feature:Selecting this checkbox means that the documents that form this structure can be checked in/out or viewed in the same operation. A document structure can be useful when a document consists of other documents, e. g. if a drawing has multiple subdrawings connected to it. When testing that feature with the IEE it works as described.In Aurena there is no action on check-out and check-in visible. Is that a bug? 

I’m currently looking into if it is possible to take periodic backup of custom events.The idea is to dump the Custom Events to disk, then use commit them to a git repository. If someone breaks a custom event, we can then easily go back to an earlier version. I can read stored procedures and such from the database as SQL files, now I’d like to read out the events as well. But I do not know where to look (or if this is the best approach).

Recently, our newly deployed workstations have been handling EDM files (attachments within IFS) differently than prior configurations. Is there a setting that defines what the IEE does when a user selects a linked document (i.e. a vendor invoice that have been uploaded to EDM and attached to the Posting Proposal). In the past this action would simply show a view of the actual document (PRF, JPG etc.), but now IFS EE triggers a “Save” dialog and will not let the user see within IEE (they must save the file then open it separately in the default viewer (depending on the file type).

Hello Information in “IFS Applications 10 Supported Platforms” says that there are planned support for Oracle 19c in IFSAPP 10 UPD6 (and higher). Can an IFS person verify that it is reality, and still not a plan. IF still a plan when will the app10 be supported on Oracle 19c

There is a flag under Master Part/Part screen in the Main tab called “Position Part”, it can be switched on and off. What does it do? I can’t find it in documentation. Using the cloud version. Thanks.

I have created 8 debrief workflow which are created based on the base debrief flow depending on my task type. 1. Install task 2. Repair Task etc.Once I created the flow and did all the modifications. Later I need a screen( Network Details ) which will be common to all debrief flow. If I am adding the Network Details screen to base debrief flow, it's not reflecting to other created task flows.In this case how to proceed?1.Should I add the screen to base debrif and then delete all the task type debrif flow and create again the task type debrif flow?2. Or need to create individual screen for each task type flow?It will impact a lot if I do these both two.Is there any other way to do so?Please suggest  

The customer wants to direct his share-point documents to IFS application through an BIZAPI integration (using an XML file). Like we can attach oracle path/local documents by just giving the file path (eg: C:/IFS/PROD/PDM/ABCDE123.pdf) through an object property , is there any method we can use in this scenario to attach those share-point documents? If there’s no any way, what is the best approach we can give to the customer as a solution?

Hello,I have a question around pick by choice. I have a pick list which contains 10 Handling Units which have been reserved against a shipment. I process the pick using WADACO Report picking of handling units. If I’m asked to pick handling unit 1 but it’s at the back of handling unit 2 so I pick handling unit 2 instead of 1 what should happen? Should handling unit 1 be unreserved or should it stay reserved? I’m seeing sometimes an unreserve and sometimes a re-reserve.What should be the outcome?Thanks,Jamie

Hello,We have several parts that need to be ordered with one unit of measure on the PO but stocked and transacted with another unit of measure. example: We purchase wire by the foot but stock and transact it in meters.All BOM requirements and stock balances are in meters, but need the PO to be expressed in feet for the supplier to see when ordering.Is there a method to handle this automatically when issuing the purchase order? Thank you.

Hello IFS community, My only query is for "Application Messages"; I have been querying using Status date and Creation data, and I have only retrieved data from yesterday and today.I am attempting to locate all emails sent via custom events since July 28 or from today minus 5 or 6 days. For some reason I am receiving today or yesterday data nothing back 5 or 6 days.For more information, please refer to Screenshot. I am looking for information in those areas.Is there any suggestion or advice on how I might be able to archive my goal above?  Do you know the name of the table in which this data is stored?

Hi, we are using V14.5 currently.  We have had a few instances where when trying to renew a contract, it has failed with the message “The value of contact was not found in the database”.  On investigation we found this is because it is looking for a contact that used to be used on the existing contract but was since deleted.  To fix it we had to go into the DB and change the contact ID of this old contact, to one that is currently in use, which is not good practice.Why does the renewal process need to find an old contact that is no longer used on the contract?  Is there any way to stop this behaviour?  It seems strange when that contact is no longer used on the contract, why does it have to still exist and be associated to the same customer?Is this behaviour still the same for V15.4?ThanksChris

As an IT at my company we have random users who cannot use the “preview” option because it is greyed out. No this is not due to multiple things being checked. Strangely enough on the same machine I can log in as an administrator, log into the same users IFS account and the preview button is magically available in the same screen. After searching for quite some time, I haven’t found an answer.For context, we use Bluebeam for our PDF viewer, however I don’t believe this is the issue as the problem persists even if I use edge or Adobe.

In IFS Cloud, I encountered a peculiar behavior of macro attributes of the type date.The system has been set up in such a way, that in documents connected to the object CompanyPerson the employee's date of birth can be shown (core attribute Company_Person.Date_Of_Birth). In the document, however, the date shown is the actual birth date minus 1. E.g. when the employee's date of birth is 1 January 1990, the date shown in the document is 31 December 1989.What could be the cause of this behavior and, more important, how can it be solved?Thanks in advance for your reactions.

Hello, I am new to permission set/project grants in IFS Aurena. I have applied the basic Aurena grants, so my users can sign in without issue, however, I am having trouble granting them access to actual pages in Aurena. As an example, I would like to grant users access to My Onboarding, so they are able to see their current onboarding progress and any tasks they or the organization will be completing. I believe I granted the necessary projection and applied the permission set is already applied the user. However, when they login, they cannot see that module. Any guidance on how to complete this process would be greatly appreciated!
