We don’t want to create cost accounting vouchers for some transactions/generate any GL entries.  We are just trying to get the project into completed status.  Normally I am able to temporarily change the ‘create cost accounting’ setting to ‘No’ on the relevant report code to ‘No, Do not update project cost’ via the option called ‘Update Cost Accounting’ in project transactions screen.Example: Report Code SERVICES is set to 'No Do not update project Cost'. However, when trying to update cost accounting, system prompts an error.  Any i

We have run into an issue that I would like to bring up in the community. It could be that we have missed a piece of existing functionality or we might face a gap that we have to navigate around somehow.We are using Project Deliverables to design a number of products to be shipped to the customer project site (new address for every project). There are multiple shipments created for a project, up to 40 deliveries (shipments) is not uncommon. I was expecting that a Project Address could be used to define the shipment address. When looking closer at the project address it is our understanding that it only defines the delivery address for purchase orders.If our finding above is correct the first thought is to create a customer address of type Delivery. This is of course possible. However we can’t find anywhere we can set-up what delivery address to use for the Project/Project Deliverables. The only place we have found so far is to create a shipmen

Hello folks,I have a concern regarding the Contract Change Orders (CCO) functionality in IFS Cloud. In a CCO, when you add a line, I am unable to see the connected project information. Since the CCO is originating from the sales contract, I would imagine that the project/sub project/activity connected to the sales contract should be automatically fetched to the CCO line as well. Otherwise the user will always have to enter this information manually which is not a good user experience IMO. (Please see the attached screenshot). Why is this functionality built this way? Is there any particular reason why the project information is not automatically fetched to the CCO line or can this be improved ?Kind regards,Ashani 

Is anyone experiencing problems saving shortcuts in project time posting after the 24R2 update in cloud? Our user saves the shortcut, but it disappears the next day. 

Hi When we terminate employment on IFS Cloud the resource still remains active in the resource groups on the resource structure. Only the resource capacity validity period is updated on the termination but the resource can still be allocated to projects. Yes the system gives a warning that the employee is terminated but its still available. Also the employee/resource is not removed from the existing project allocations. How can we get the termination to remove the resource or deactivate it?

The parameters Start date, End Date van Voucher Date in the Run Task ‘Transfer Project Cost Accounting transactions’ are derived from the previous accounting period.If I run the task today (28-7-2025) IFS sets the Voucher Date to the end date of the previous period, being 30-6-2025: Is it possible for IFS (Apps10) to default fill the Voucher Date with today's date?

In Project Deliverable flow, I’m trying to create Shipment Plan for Condition code enabled part.the System prompt an error saying, “It is not allow to create Shipment Plans for parts with condition code enabled.”It seems the flow is intentionally prevented.If so, appreciate a proper approach for delivering condition code enabled part via project del flow.

I know it seems counter-intuitive but does anyone know of a way to restrict project activity to Time Reporting only - ie disallow raising POs, SO etc?   I know there is the allow/disallow on Manual Connections but that only works when trying to connect an object created outside of the project.  It doesn’t stop objects created within the project from being created. I’m wondering if going down the Indirect Jobs route might be a better option?  Any thoughts/suggestions gratefully received.  ThanksLinda

Create Shipment plan for part with Condition Code enabled. The Condition Code setting is very important for structure items that will be processed in the subsequent MRO process.The IFS Shipment as a business object takes this part property into account, so the only missing step is this:IFS Project Deliverables Item --> IFS Shipment Plan --> IFS Shipment Line Steps to Reproduce:1) Created a Product Structure of having a Manufacturing part (SN-MP) & Purchase Part (SN-PP) and make it buildable. This is being reviewed as a CRIM by a customer in the US. On review with Global presales and looking at the roadmap I noticed this function fundamentally exists for India Tax Localization. I'm on APP10. In the Resource Analysis view,  the bars in the stacked bar chart are divided into 2 parts: the chosen project and everything else combined. So, if you select ≥3 projects, you won't be able to distinguish all projects by colour coding.Is it possible to show the resource allocation of all projects associated with a resource group in APP10? How about Cloud? 

About a year ago we switched to using Project Inventory vs Standard and PMRP per Project PNG. While this fixed some challenges we were having it’s caused some new ones and wondering if there is a middle ground. We don’t want to get rid of the use of project inventory and the kind of soft reservation that it gives you. With PMRP it’s generating Purchase Reqs for each individual activity and not really being able to aggregate the demand together from all sources and effectively use planning method A or G. This causes individual lines on the PO which the vendors are not fond of and due to industry regulations require it to be treaded as separate lots with corresponding testing and paperwork.Ideally I think we want all demand to be funneled through MRP and when the inventory comes in and has been inspected, to have MTRs generated to move it to project inventory. Even better would be to automatically move it to project inventory.We are currently on Apps10 Update 22

Hi,I have enabled Project Budget Control settings as below for the Project and setup the Project Budget Control consumption checkpoint as Create Purchase Requisition Line. When I created a project supply request that exceeding the budget it does not block creation of the Purchase Requisition. But when I tried Create Purchase order line and Release Purchase order line as consumption check point this budget control option is working.Is there any reason for this?

Hi IFS! Is there a way for IFS users to provide feedback within IFS after successfully completing something? My product team is configuring IFS to enable our end users to complete their work in a better process than before. We would like to capture their feedback on completing their work in IFS right after they successfully complete a something, so that we can get their feedback while it’s fresh in their minds, and can configure IFS to better meet their needs. I am envisioning some kind of side panel, small window, or modal that prompts users to give a brief rating or description of their experience completing their work. Please see below examples to illustrate what I mean. Does anything like this exist today in IFS? Is there anything we can leverage that can meet our need?

Hello to all,we are going to update from 23R2 SU17 to 25R1. Now we have a fresh 25R1 installation, and we are testing it on our data. We know resource assignment has been made more flexible, apart from the person resource type, the other resource types are supported in 25R1 and can be assigned to a project activity.To date, our users have utilized the Project Employee Allocations screen to manage these allocations. Now we can see that the Project Employee Allocation screen is discontinued. The same is true with the Resource Shift Pattern Mapping page.Are there any replacements for these two screens in 25R1?Thank you very muchBest regardsAntonin

Hello Folks,I have run in to an issue (in IFS Cloud 23R1) with connecting a Project to a Sales Contract, where system returns an error indicating that this Project is already connected to a different Sales Contract. Which is true as I have already connected this Project to a Sales Contract that is sitting in ‘Cancelled’ status.Moreover, I have the “PUB(Project Unique Billing Toggle)” turned ON in the Project Setup Parameters for this Project.​​​I tried to remove the Project connection from the ‘Cancelled’ sales contract but system throws in an error preventing me from doing that.  Thereafter I toggled off the “PUB(Project Unique Billing Toggle)” since ideally that should take
