IFS Project - Budgetary Target

Hi folks,I remeber a question from the certification asking, the activity costs and hours can be categorized into three primary groups: Budgetary Targets, Metrics, Actuals. Does anybody know which of the coumns of the Cost Tab in Project Monitoring are included in the group “Budgetary Targes”?Estimates, Planned, Baseline/None/Earned Value, Scheduled Work or Planned Committed, Commited, Used.Thx in advance!Markus

Real cost on resources type tool/equipment

On my project resource planning i engaged a tool for several hours and so I have a planned cost. Now, how can I have a real cost ? I can’t have a project transaction or a project cost because on theses tab, only resource type = Person_groupIs somebody has a solution ?My version is 23R1

Linking one index to multiple projects

Good day,In a new project for 300 devices (projects 7 in total), we have and will have a situation where one warehouse index will be ordered for the entire project.Therefore, costs should be assigned to each of the seven projects, and currently it looks like this: "common" indexes are mainly attached to the first wagon of one of the projects, which disrupts the costs on the projects.We tested the method of attaching the product/index structure, but when generating later, the system does not calculate the full 1 piece, but 1.000000000000001 and it would have to be changed manually each time.Is there another solution for this?

CRO to be attached to IFS Project Activity

We are using IFS Projects heavily and have found a disappointing set-back that we cannot connect projects to CRO Shop Orders - Disposition or MultiLevel.We also cannot connected the CO created from the CRO SO Repair to a Project activity either.We use Project activity on all our Customer Orders and I am struggling to understand how we seem to be unable to connect projects to CRO repair CO’s

How to make a field Mandatory in Aurena -> question?

Hello together, I noticed the already existing solutions for this topic, but anyway it does not work for my case:I enabled the option “Required” on the left side, saved, published it and reloaded the page, but in the next step as you can see it did not overtook the setup (right marking). Performance MCPR time registration

Hi,One of my customer is planning to use MCPR (Multi Company Project Reporting) for a large number of companies. They currently have about 80 companies with in total 2.000 projects. It should be possible for each employee to work on a project in any other company. This results in a large number of MCPR connections. We are wondering if this large number or connections can result in perfomance issues.Do you have experience with using MCPR time registration with a large number of connections? New Project - Planned start and Planned finish

HelloSource project start 01/04/2025 and early finish 01/06/2025With new project I use this existing project BUT with Planned start 01/04/2025 and PLANNED FINISH at 01/09/2025  using “Copy based on Early Start/ Early finish” the enterered planned finish 01/09/2025 is not taken into account and calculates 13/06/2025 17:00 as Planned Finish. What is the process of this calculation ?

can't create work task in Project Deliverables

Hello, we want to add a planning item as Work Task in project deliverables (Engineering-->Project Deliverables-->Plan and Execute-->Project Deliverables Navigator-->Project Deliverables Design). It is not possible as you can see in the following screenshot:  Error Work TaskWe are able to add the other executions types without any problems. We added and checked the Basic Data for Work Task and Work orders without any success. Could somebody get us a hint why this is not possible in this installation? (Parameter, Basic Data, Permissions…) Thank you in advance!Robert

Procurement Self Service from Project Activity Materials & Services

Customer usually list all the demand on the project, then convert that to a purchase requisition using the Create Project Supply option.When using self-service procurement portal within a project, the purchase and material requisitions created will be connected to the project activity just as if they had been manually connected to the project and reporting costs in the same manner. However, this updated only in the supply side of the project.Customer has a requirement where, they need to add a list of all parts required for the Project, and have one place to see this, so they can ensure all demands are met. Here, all other demands are shown apart from anything requested via Self Service Procurement? Is there any possibility for this?Thank you in advance.

Reviewing Future Resource Availability

We have a customer who needs to review resource availability at different levels within the organization.The first level of output will provide the overall Availability/Occupancy Rate for the entire organization. The second level will drill down into the operational team level, breaking the data down by teams such as Functional, Technical, System Admin, etc. The third level will then break down the operational teams further into domain-specific categories, such as the relevant resource groups (e.g., combining DM leads into the DM team for clarity). The fourth level will further refine the data by breaking it down into roles such as lead and consultant levels within the relevant resource groups, for instance, showing Tech leads, DM leads, and Software Engineers in the technical team. Default revenue activity in the sales contract is not recognized, when copying the sales contract. Must enter it manually. Is this the standard behavior of the system?

Issue: Default revenue activity in the sales contract is not recognized, when copying the sales contract. Must enter it manually.Environment: IFS cloud 23R2Test stepsNavigate to sales contracts window.  Query for sales contract number CS0220259. And it will load relevant sales contracts under that. Select the second contract. Click on three dots and select “copy contract”     Give contract division as 1 and enable new contract button and give planned start date.  Then new sales contract will be created. (C100000066). Go to project sub tab and enter details.   Give a project and revenue activity and save it. System will identify it as the default revenue activity.   You can see default button is enabled. Click on “revision and items” tab on the header.                                        Select on first line and click on the drop-down icon.               Then try to edit the report code via the edit icon.  You can see default project and revenue activity filed isn't updated within t

Is the setting of the Credit Approved toggle on Sales Contract based on any other setting?

Is the setting of the Credit Approved toggle on Sales Contract based on any other setting?  It is on the General Information tab with the Financial Settings grouping.  It seems I can freely toggle this field even when the Customer’s credit is set to blocked.  How/what/who is controlling this flag?

Connect costcenter to project transactions

Hi,  In my lobby I get an overview over all erroneous postings. Under “Project Transactions” I see there are some errors. By clicking on the number of erroneous postings, I end up in project posting analysis. Here I see that the hours I try to register on one project have the following error description: “CODE PART C is mandatory for account 4421”. On the same line, I see that the column “CostCenter” is blank (without any information). I want all the project hours to be allocated to specific costcenters, hence the account details is correct. However, I cannot seem to connect the registered hours to the various costcenters. Maybe this is not relevant, but when I go to “Employees” and find the relevant person, I see that she is registered with correct “Organization” and “Position”. The hours have also been confirmed in the time card. Further, the hours is correctly transferred to the correct project activity and is shown in the project monitoring view.  Does anyone have an idea how to fi

Budget transfer and budget increase on Project

Hi Experts,We have created monthly forecast and used EAC workbench to transfer budgeted cost from one WBS activity to another and used Increase Budget amount. successfully managed to update the status to EAC Transferred on the Monthly Forecast. The monthly forecast is then approved.Now if the monthly forecast becomes the basis for Budget update. We need to create a revised budget with reference to the Monthly forecast using copy from forecast option.The forecast assistant ends in error - Project Forecast cannot be set to Reviewed when EAC workbench is in Progress. Why is it taking the revised budget version to Reviewed? it should attempt to create it in Preliminary status and let the user update it. This is in IFS Cloud 24R2Did anyone experienced this, and if yes, how are you updating the project budget? Manually?

Since Project Delivery is no longer available in IFS Cloud and now there are IFS customers preparing for the upgrade from IFS9 and IFS10 towards IFS Cloud we are having questions raised by the customer and by ourselves as an IFS Partner. Benefits & Differences:What are the (new) benefits of Project Deliverables compared to Project Delivery? Contract Change Order (CCO) Doesn't Force new Rev on Sales Contract

I’ve got my Sales Contract (SC) revision set to Audit/Contract Change Order Required/Comment Required and it’s Frozen.  When I complete a Contract Change Order (CCO) the system updates the SC but doesn’t create a new revision.  It just updates the current revision.  Am I missing something or is is designed to work that way?Thank youPatrick
