Usually, you can create a project forecast (Budget type) and make it the active budget if required.
I’m not quite sure what is the business requirement to revise the estimate values based on a forecast. However, I believe you should go for a modification to quire this requirement.

Was there any further consideration given to this topic please? Our users have pointed out that they do not see the EAC figures from forecasts in the project monitoring table. If EAC could be added to the table and updated from the current reference forecast that would be ideal.
