Hi,When we create a count report in IFS, it seems to only create count reports for a bin location within whatever parameters that we define where inventory exists.  Is it possible to create a count report to include ALL bin locations within specific parameters to also include the empty bin locations?  If not, has anyone come up with a viable solution to also be counting empty bin locations to ensure that physically something isn’t in them, but not in the system? Thanks,Curtis Carpenter

A shop floor user is clocking into up to 10 shop orders at once (Allows concurrent labor clockings is enabled). The Time Share calculation is causing issues with cost postings. Time Share is a factor calculated based on the remaining labor hours on an operation. This is then multiplied by total clocking duration to give a duration per operation. This is less then ideal. They would strongly prefer the labor time is even split over each shop order they are clocking into (clocked into 2 operations, multiple labor time by .5, clocked into 4 operations, multiply by .25, etc....)In the attached example an employee was clocked in for .62 hours. Because Operation 5699 had less remaining labor than 7302, less labor is applied to Operation 5699.Does anyone have a fix/work around/suggestion?Thanks all for your help.

Hi All,  We got an issue from a client saying that they need to check the deviation of production for the month of January 2023. So, we suggested to get the costing from ‘Shop Orders Costs’ window after running ‘Aggregate Shop Order Costs per Shop Order’ job.But the client is saying they are calculating the costing from Product Structure level and wants to know the difference of logic deviation between product structure costing and the shop order costing.App version: 8Thank you in advance.

Hi,I’m trying to add a custom field to the Register Arrivals screen to display currency code of the purchase order (source_ref1) but I receive the following error: Any help would be much appreciated. 

Problem:We have produced a machine with a part serial structure. The machine was sold and delived (Sm-object checked of), meaning that it created a serial object structure with the serialised parts.  Now we have discovered that a wrong serial no was registered on the komponent part. Therefore I want to change the component parts serial both in the serial object structure and in the serial part structure.  Does anyone have an answer as to how this is done the best way? It is in APPS10UPD15

Hi,We are new IFS Customer implementing IFS 22R1.We are currently strugeling with the Production Quality Control. We are producing in one piece flow. Therefore, we produce one piece of the production order and want to reply to the complete Quality plan (all questions) for this piece. Once done, we move to the production to the next piece of the same production order.We understood from the consultants that’s not possible. In IFS, we need to reply to the first question for the complete production order quantity, then move to the next question for the entire production order quantity,... Even if it’s possible to move to the next question before replying for all products, it requests a lot of “click” to move from screen to screen. By doing so, we will loose a lot of productivity in our production.  How other factories producing in one piece flow manage this in IFS? Many thanks in advance for your reply. 

Hi all, We have a qualification profile with several certificates, which are all valid for a specific operation.The employee doensn’t need to have all the certificates, meaning that he should be considered capable for the operation with only one of the certificates.Is there a way to consider the qualification profile fulfilled with only 1 of the certificates?

22R2Looking to use handheld barcode scanners in the manufacturing processes for various transactions. 1. What type of handheld scanners are supported by IFS Cloud 22R2?2.  It appears that Scandit license is needed.  Does IFS provide that license or does it have to be purchased separately?  3.  Is there any documentation on how to set up the scanner to connect to IFS.4.  Is there any documentation on the configuration/setup in IFS to use the scanner/barcode.

We are planning to use part characteristics or technical classes and attributes to make it easier for users to find parts or products. Initially we thought it is the same thing and hoped that after technical attributes are defined that they would also be shown in the inventory part as well. This is not the case.What is the system logic to separate part characteristics or technical attributes? Which of these two functionalities are suitable to be used in what cases?

Hi,Does anyone have any experience and or guidance that you could share for how to manage Technical Classes that require both imperial and metric attributes and attribute values. We are mid way through a company by company implementation, which has being focused on European countries(where units of measurement are metric). Our next implementation will be in a USA located manufacturing company where the units of measurement are imperial. Ideally we like to use the same tech classes across the group of companies but we are unsure as to how we could do this in IFS if at all.  RegardsJohn

Hello, Is it possible to have different planning methods in a multilevel product structure. For example we have a 6 layer product structure with different disciplines. I want to be able to make the lower levels for sheetmetal parts planning method D (fixed lot sizes), but the other levels have to be Planning method A so if the customer orders 4 we need to make 4 end assembly's but the sheetmetal parts for example 12 pcs. Can anyone help me with this topic? Thank you in advance

I’m a bit confused with the functional differences between 2 fields in the different Engineering Part Revision Forms. One is “Eng Rev” (or Eng Revision) and the other one is just “Rev No” (or Revision No) In IFS Explorer the first field is described as “The engineering part revision for the selected part. This field cannot be modified. This field is for information only and affects nothing else in the system. “The second one (Rev No) is described as “The internal counter used to keep track of all revisions for a part. For each new revision, the counter is incremented by one. This is used to correctly order part revisions in forms and reports. This field cannot be updated manually.” … yet conceptually I can’t wrap my head around of the difference or how are they supposed to be used in different ways. Anybody can explain this for me? Thanks!

In older versions of IFS, using Shop Floor Employee reporting, there was a function to automatically assign an indirect job to an employee when clocked in for time and attendance. This indirect job was also started automatically when a shop order operation was stopped.Is there a way to solve this in current setup with indirect jobs and Shop Floor Workbench? Our scenario is that we have some warehouse workers where main task is warehouse work (defined as indirect job) but in some cases they also report on shop orders.  We want the indirect job to be automatically assigned and only report deviations from this, e.g. reporting of shop order (start and stop) from SFWB.

Hello We want to implement detail control plan for purchase part and manufacturing part. For manufacturing part, we should input S/N  for each Data Point and each Result No, first step we can sequence Result No by click head and input S/N (1st picture) for 1st result no, then save, but after save, the sequence will be change as per Data Point (2nd picture), which will not easy to input 2nd result no data.Can I always freeze sequence of Result No (or other specify columns）？How can I make it happen? Community,I have a part that is a MAKE part, and it is lot controlled. i am trying to build it in a lot 10 quantity via a shop order with multiple lot numbers, so I am trying to register in the shop order with multiple lot numbers. but system only allow one lot at a time. why is that? how to fix this error?attached the error screenshot, you can see the lot 3 is already registered in the shop order but when I am trying to add more lots, thus the error.Thank you.

Hi,  How does “Serial tracking after delivery” only work in cloud?The online documentation refers to “delivery structure” however, I have made tests from Project Deliverables Materials and Services and couldn`t find the possibility of entering serials after the issuing was done to the structure. Thank you in advance!
