Please can someone share the enhancement made on Constraint-based scheduling from Apps 10 to the Cloud release? I could not find any info on the Enhancements Spreadsheet.

Many Thanks

Hi

You need to search för both APB/CBS and also MSO in the enhancement Index. MSO is the new constraint based scheduling engine that was released in 22R2

@ANNYSE what is the lifecycle status of APB with the release of 22R2? Will APB still be available for customers moving to 22R2?

Former IFS finite scheduling “online “ solution, CBS Server is no longer available in IFS Cloud.
Existing finite scheduling “offline” solution  APB , is not fully  supported in IFS Cloud as it is Windows dependent.
Both CBS And APB solutions use, separate user interfaces both based on outdated technology.
Both CBS and APB use rule-based scheduling and limited or no possibility for advance optimization.
Above reasons mainly contributed to the development of next generation IFS finite scheduling solution called MSO (Manufacturing Scheduling and Optimization) solution.
22R2 Release will be the phase 1 delivery and it aims to facilitate  APB and CBS functionalities along with basic schedule and optimization scenarios using MSO.
MSO is built on advance optimization engine PSO, which will open up new scheduling possibilities in future, such as  create optimize finite schedule based on cost, energy rate, emissions etc. along with IFS Cloud supported interactive scheduling Gantt chart.
