In apps 10 we have an event that sends an email to our HR team when some one requests for  information to be be changed on there records through the Employee Info - Change Request screen.We are now moving over to Aurena but been informed by IFS that when a change is requested in Aurena it has to be approved in Aurena as the 2 are not linked, which means our existing event action will not work as it is using a different view/table.Does anyone know what the view/table in Aurena that the Information change request is using, so I create a new event action or any help in how I can trigger an email to be sent when some one puts in a request?Thank you.

Hi all, I have been given a task to work out how we can make our Chairman to be able to approve the holiday requests in IFS 9 for other MD’s from Multiple companies.  We have 10 different companies where specific MD’s looking after them, however if one of those MD’s needs their holidays approved, they are currently sending an email to our chairman as sadly our chairman is currently set up as part of only one Company. Is there any way how could I make him part of all companies, without messing up all HR and employee records (duplications)? I was hoping that it will be as simple as set him somehow up in Graphical Organization structure and set the position to report for example Head of department reports to Head of organization and he/she report to Chairman. Thank you so much for your ideas and help. Thank youKate   

Trying to terminate an employee in Apps9, we have made no system changes but getting the below message. From debug it seems to be from the Former Employee Group - but there is no valid to date on the group. Any thoughts. 

Hi, I have a problem with my time registration using LTU_HR license. When I’m switching from calendar view into grid view it does not show any projects added in calendar view. I can add a project in grid view but it does not show in there only in calendar view.  

Hi all, (On IFS10, UPD7. In process of updating to UPD9) We had a org change, causing that the current Direct Superior for a position is to be updated from Position A to Position B. As per IFS standard, you cannot just do that. But you can also not duplicate the line and assign another Direct Superior, as then it complains about the record already existing. Playing with the Valid To date is also not possible, as all the employee currently connected to the Position are blocking this.  Has anyone found a solution for this, that doesn’t involve having to update multiple Employee Records?All the employees stay in the current position, it’s only the manager that is to become a different position. 

 is there a way to setup a specific path for  a navigation link in counter element in a lobby? Also I need to avoid the default path when I select the element,

The client is upgrading from Apps8 to Apps10 and when we look at the manual Balance Reconciliation Status we expect to get dates from the first in the month until the last. But we get dates in the middle, why does this happen and what can we do to make it work as we want (1-31 Month X)?

Does anyone know how to mass add a new Site in security to multiple users at once?   I can’t see how but maybe I’m missing something simple.  I know how you can mass add permission sets in the Grant permission set to user form,  but can not find something similar for Site.    Thanks!

When printing/previewing the P60 End of Year Summary and selecting the layout with background  - no background is being displayed.The report definition is P60_2 and has not been amended.On viewing this in IFS Report Designer no background information is being displayed, only the data which is the same as selecting the layout without background.We are on IFS Apps 10 UPD 8.Thanking you.John

Hi, We have quite recently started with IFS and i am working with projects and tasks.We use tasks to report project time on however we struggle a bit if for example the designer can start a few days earlier than what we agreed on, and want to register time ahead of the activity start. Can you somehow use the offset function but with a negative number? So we do not need to change the activity early start and change the Gantt schedule? Appreciate all the help i can get./John

Hello Is it possible to setup Employee in a way that he could have access to see and authorize their own work in “Authorization” window?  Scenario: Some department heads wants to have a subordinate who would take over the “authorization” of the team including the mentioned employee. We use “Position - Access Setup” and “Graphical Organization Structure” → “Access” to grant mentioned employee a access to other subordinates and ability to “Authorize”, but this method does not allow self “Authorization”. 

 Job translation is incorrect.   The right translation is “Trabajo” and is not “Tra”.Obviously this point is very relevant in de HR demos.

Could someone please let me know if there is a possibility to make Survey Answers visible to a large group of employees in IFS?If it is possible, how can that be done? 

Hi,I’m trying to grant a user the ability to see the full list of employees under HR → Employee Management → Employees. When they search they get nothing, and when they populate they only see their own name in the list. I copied the permissions for this user from another user that can see the whole list so it’s not a permission issue. Does anyone know where I go to get this user the ability to see all employees? ThanksMike

I haven’t been able to find any work instructions for the actual app as well. Hi I'm trying to work out the best way to send an email event to notify mangers/supervisors to authorise expenses. I have tried to trigger from the existing event ‘Expense state change’, the streams Table, expense header table but I'm struggling to be able to define the intended target email address. (it works if i hard code an email address in).  i get the error message ‘To’ field is not specified.The stream works as intended We are using Apps 10 UPD 8 Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks 

Hi All,need to assign another person to approve and authorize the team ‘Time Entry - Jobs’ when the project manager is on leave.Is there is a way to do it other than switching the Project Manager of the project ? Thanks for your help 

May I ask how “absence plan” and “absence request” function in IFS Application??Are they different from each other??If possible pls give me the real example in HR activity. Rungtip M. 

Hello We are running into an issue where the Specific Sales Price for a particular employee on an activity has a specified price, but the project transaction isn't reflecting the price - it is showing the Specific Sales Price for the project. We've checked everything we can think of in the set up and don't see what's missing. It worked as expected in Apps 8 but hasn't worked as expected since the upgrade to Apps 10.Has anyone experienced this issue and been able to resolve it?Thank you,Joann  It seems to ignore the employee specific price no matter what combination of project, sub project, activity, report code and employee ID.
