Hi @nick_jorgen ,

Free day covering is used for absence records which should be created with 0.00 time on non-working days. This is used for Sick Leave most of the time.

As shown in the below screen capture you can use it with the below 3 options.

If you select:

  • No sickness over holidays then no absence record will be created.
  • Sickness over holiday, manual removal then covering will be provided if the absence wage code is registered on the day before a free day. Free days that have been covered remain even if a clocking-in occurs on a free day or on the next working day.
  • Sickness over holiday, automatic removal: Covering will be providing similar to ‘sickness over holiday, manual removal’ but it will automatically delete covering if a clocking-in occurs the day after a day day.

    Hope this helps you :relaxed:

Hi Nick,

Free Day Covering will be used to control the way non-working days are treated when they appear within an absence period. (For example, 2 weeks continues absence including week-ends )

You can specify whether the absence should be repeated on non working days(ex. week ends) or not.

If it should repeat, you can set such repeated absence records should be removed automatically when the employee creates a clocking on the day following the non working day('Sickness over holiday, automatic removal' )

Hope you can try with above free day covering parameter explained by Thanushi  and get the clear idea.

Best Regards,

Lasanthi
