Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

I am wondering why sometimes the PM setting start date is not matching with planned date in maintenance plan.I think something went wrong on the specific PM line because others PM line in same contract created correctly.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,   

Can anyone advise if there is anything pre-built to push data from work orders/work tasks to the calendar in outlook? I was on a call with a customer who is currently using apps 10, and they are asking if there is anything like a connector out of the box that allows a schedule work task to push onto the scheduled resource’s outlook calendar. So as an example, a job gets scheduled tomorrow from 9-11 AM, so a meeting would auto generate on the technician’s outlook calendar from 9-11 with applicable information such as the address.This same question goes for IFS Cloud as well.

In task screen we created a user def field as a checkbox now we want once we click on the checkbox and save the screen it should freeze some fields in the task screen.once uncheck the checkbox it should unfreeze all the fields that were freeze.

Good morning,I am unable to add a work type to an existing Work Order. A message stating : 'work type can not be changed when one or more posting rows are transferred to customer order'At present the Work Type field is blank.Can you advise how I can rectify this?Thank youDave

Hi!As we have a lot of users using both mobile/portal and smart client, we’d wan’t to track the usage of the different “licenses used”.F.ex a named user has the ability to both log in to the mobile, portal and smart client, but is there any way we are able to log/track usage of each of these?We’ve tried adding br’s for person_login_history to add data when the table is inserted to, but to no avail, as this seems to be inserted before the br’s are able to run.So, is there a reasonable way to differentiate between different types of login and be able to log this information?

Hi,   When a technician login into smart client or webclient. He should only see the task which are assigned to him not all  the task assigned to his access group.Is that possible in Smart client that only task related to a person_id can be seen?

Hi All, I have an issue with configuring automatic Time Clocks to the TASK table.Please find the attachment of the Time Clocks screen to see how I have configured the settings. I have configured these settings to record a NPU (Labor and Expenses) according to the status of the task. This was configured in the FSM 6 CMB Smart Client, and it didn’t work on this environment (It simply did nothing, there were no errors) but it worked on the FSM 6 US Smart Client.  Kindly let me know the correct steps to setup automatic Time Clocks and why this was working fine in US environment but not in CMB environment.Thank you Best regards,

Is it possible to show public holidays/non-working days (f.ex sundays) as a different color in the datepicker?Marked days are non-working days and public holidays, and we would like to have these in another color/greyed out/etc. to indicate to the user that the day is not selectable.This applies to all datepickers, and should follow a specific calendar.

Hi Team, We have a requirement to save attachments into NFS drive that needs credentials to access it. We have tried configuring the NFS path into the ATTACHMENT DIRECTORY app param. But when we are trying to save attachment, it gives below error. The username or password is incorrect. We understand it is because credentials are required but there is no setting to set credentials for Attachment directory. Request you to please advise on how we can save attachments into NFS drive. Also can you please advise what is required to access these attachments once they are saved.  Regards,AJAY

We are building a disaster Recovery system for our current FSM application .How can the replication happen between current production file system and disaster recovery site.Any Ideas  

I have created my Modelling Dataset in PSO and APPS.  I have also created the Travel Cost Model and Rule Collection in Both Systems (with matching ID’s).  The Modelling dataset is defined on my scheduling dataset.  When I send my load and look at the shift of my resource, I am not seeing the Travel Cost Model ID.  Any idea why?  I can only seem to see it if I create a ROTA with the same ID as my Modelling Dataset, but then I end up with 2 schedules (One from my ROTA and one from IFS HR).  

Hi, In the sizing guide of the FSM environment there is a comment about: with over 1 million transactions per day from integrations and business rules will require a P6 SQL databaseIs there any way to see in the production environment how many transactions per day we are currently generating?The question is interesting since we are planning to roll-out the solution to more countries and need to decide on the environmental plan.   RegardsJimmy

I have a scenario that for some reason I have not seen before.  We prepare a work order and task in IFS Applications 10.  Once prepared we release the work task and PSO receives the change and creates a plan and broadcasts that back to IFS Applications.  In IFS we see the allocation, and RMB on the allocation and select assign (creating the work assignment).  For some reason or another, after about 60 seconds by work assignment is deleted and it’s deleted by SDS.  I see the following in the WO Journal : Work Assignment Status: [Assigned] -> []Earliest Assignment Start: [] -> [2022-03-21 21:13:28]Assignment No: [1]Dataset ID: [PSS]Scheduling Activity ID: [154870]Visit ID: [1] Can someone explain this to me?  Not sure I understand why SDS is deleting my work assignments. If I change my work assignment to accepted quick enough, then SDS won’t delete.   

How do we get the mobile device to ‘remember’ the last used file location when attaching files to the attachments screen? It always defaults back to the root

If I have an activity in PSO that has been marked as incomplete, and I do allow multiple visits, is there a way for PSO to create an allocation automatically for the follow-up visit?

Seeking zero downtime upgrades. One of our customers, has operations across all hemispheres and there is effectively no maintenance window where it is OK to bring down the system. They are seeking ability to apply PSO software updates, configuration update in production in a zero downtime fashion.

Hello all!! Regarding the workflow, when we assign a task in the technician in the back office, in the DebriefOverview (OOTB screen) the ‘task_type’ field is shown with its value. (as shown below)But in the custom screen DebriefRPMInterface the task type value is not shown. The properties of the task_type are the same in both screens. We know that we should create a script for the ‘where clause’ section in order to sync the screens with the task id, but we are not sure about the exactly script structure.  Thank you in advance!    

We have deployed a dual server configuration running FSM 6U6. The servers are mirrored and running the Application server and the Mobile Server. The load balancing is done with F5 and sticky sessions with a 50:50 split.Q: is there a view, report, log or method to determine which server is responding to which user? 

Hi,If i have taken the expdp backup of FSM schema from one database (ex:dev)  in oracle and import the same FSM schema in another database (ex: Test ) in oracle and configure only the application in Test environment. All the configuration, code, data will be available in the Test environment.Kindly Confirm whether the above process work.

Does any one know of any issues with using the password_stretch app param in FSM 6 update 6 and mobile? I have had an email from a customer asking this as when they have set the app param to 1 then mobile fails to activate and the mobile person_id gets locked out. They are not using SSO and mobile is running on iOS. I have seen a number of previous cases around this topic but they don’t seem to match exactly.
