Hi,

is it possible to link the opportunity from the request or task it has been raised from i’ve tried on studio but not had any luck

Could you please elaborate on your requirement?

The Opportunity screen enables you to record information during the sales process and can use this screen to track progress as you develop the prospect. If you want to automate the processing of opportunities, you must set up custom processes.

Our engineer’s will raise an opportunity from a task ID but we are unable to see which task their opportunity has come. From looking into the table, i believe this would need to be custom metadata in order to link the task ID the opportunity has be raised from

You can create a new field in the Opportunity or Task screen depending on your requirement using the UI Designer screen in the FSM smart client environment. Then you can define the user_def field appropriately and make the relationship using the custom metadata to represent the required data.

Hi @TSQTINAMCF ,

If you are creating an Opportunity via an Task, then the relationship setup should have already there between Task and Opportunity. If so simply you can go to UI Designer then select the Task table and drag and drop  it onto to the Opportunity screen.

 

 

 

If NOT then you have to setup it up as below.

  1. In Custom Metadata you have to make the relationship between tables.
  1. Then connect two tables in UI designer.
  1. Next add the field from Task table to the Opportunity screen
