Is there a way to allow a user to enter a Document Number (or revision number) when they they are creating a new document in Apps 10 Aurena via the “Create New” button? On the “Document Default Values” screen, there is a setting called “ATTACH_CREATE_NEW_FORM”. The help system states…This value determines the dialog that will be opened when the New button in the Documents Attachment panel is clicked. Possible values are Create Document Assistant, Create New Document and Create Documents.  We set this to “Create Document Assistant” and this had the expected effect in EE. When we click the “Create New” button in the attachments panel of EE, the “Create Document Assistant” opens and allows the user to specify full details for the document they are creating (e.g. Doc Class, Doc Number, Revision Number, Format, Title, etc.)However, this setting doesn't seem to have any effect in Aurena at all. Hello, we are moving to Aurena and are currently using Apps10, update 10 IEE.In the Relationship Management> My Call Center> New Case screen, it shows a document can be attached. It appears to upload correctly, but when the case is saved, an error pops up and reads: Going to the case details from here and adding the attachment works. This post was found for adding Object Connections in IEE and I can see where the projection matches an option: However, “MY” Case doesn’t exist in IEE. Therefore, can’t be added there. In Aurena, the New Case wizard doesn’t show a projection that I can add, nor does Aurena have an Object Connections screen.Does anyone know of a solution for adding these in Aurena?Thanks,Jeff Nattermnn

Has anyone seen this before?

How can we avoid creating a new Document Revision based on a previous Document Revision without a copy of the view copy. We only would like a copy of the original file and not the view copy file. Users forget to create a new view copy for the new document revision, and then we have a view copy which is a copy of the previous document revision and  not a copy of the new original file.

I need to have a functionality to create Reports in IFS, but in an editable form (for example, in a Word doc).Till the moment, we have created reports, based in Crystal, and necessarily are created in a .pdf form.Is it possible to get this reports in an editable format?

I want to attach a document to Shop Floor Workbench so that everyone (especially the workers) could read the document before their operations. And I don’t want to attach the file to every operation…But there’s even no Logical Unit for Shop Floor Workbench to let me activate “DocReferenceObject^” connection. Do you have an idea how to make it happen ?

Hello,I’ve downloaded the attached PDF document and text block for a Macro that is designed to use the ActiveDocument.ExportAsFixedFormat function.  I believe this is able to be used in the 21R1 and 21R2 versions of Aurena as long as the Agent is installed.Has anyone actually incorporated this macro into a 21R database?  Is the function to ExportAsFixedFormat, which is for Word in the example, also the same for Excel?Thank youPatrick

Hi All,Is there a way to change a document class on an existing document? Or, is there a process that can transfer a document to another document class?For example, we have Doc No BYC-12E-10-XX-XX (1 OF 2) that is in doc class ENG-243 that should really be in ENG-248. Is there a way to create a template within the Document Folder Navigator? We don’t currently keep our documents for our projects in IFS, but would like to move towards that. We use the same folder structure for each project and rather than having to create the folders each time, if we could create a template and then copy it, it would save a lot of time.

Hi All,We are using document management '>' approvals to approve new objects.  Currently some of the users included in the approval have access to more than one company.  If the users default company doesn't match the company attached to the object, it takes him to the object screen(When RMB’s and selects Object Info) but it’s blank because his default company is different.  Users have to change global company multiple times to approve these objects. For those who use IFSPlease let me know if you know of any.I need to examine the security of my network.I am trying to save files in a shared folder using an IFS attachment.The only user who can access the shared folder is the user group "everyone". However, "everyone" in the user group can access the folder by all user.I want to restrict access to specific users. Therefore, I want to specify a user or a user group( that contains users with permissions).I do not know which user to specify.In the following environment, is the user to be set for the shared folder the Windows login user of the client?Or is it the Windows login user of the application server?Which user is used when the IFS attachment function is accessed?  

Need your help on a mistery !When uploading a document in IFS (V8), many users get the below message informing that they must have edit access in order to write the file. The users have edit and view access on the concerned doc classes. Even, the DMS administrator already got this message. Documents are stored directly in the database.The strange thing is that this is very irregular and we are unable to replicate intentionnally the message. Most of the time, the second test of uploading the same document immediately after the first one, is working and the document is properly checked-in.I think it is not linked either the users or doc class….but due to what ?Thanks for your help  

What happened to the tab Originals between Apps10 and IFS Cloud (Aurena)?The activities “Register Document Original” and “Register Sheets for the Original” have also been removed from the process model, so I assume this functionality has either been completely deprecated, or replaced by something else?

Hi All,A user is unable to attach documents to a Customer Order Line.I found that this user has attached some documents to Customer Oder Lines previously.Note: Unable to recreate the error using IIFSAPP credentials.Kindly let me know what should I do to fix this.Thank you.
