Hello everybody, I would like to know if it’s possible to link a document to an IFS screen without uploading the file to IFS. The document is in a file directory that I want to link to an IFS screen in order to access it directly from the file directory. Thank you.
Hello community,I have a document attached to a customer invoice (CustomerOrderInvHead) and I want to show this document also in the attachments of a customer order (CustomerOrder). I tried to use Object Connection Transformations, but I could not find the INVOICE_ID in the Target LU Key list. Which transformation method should I use to link the documents from invoice to customer order ?Can I use SQL ? if yes, how to do it ?Thanks in advance for your help!
After testing several suggestion from the community and reading lot of documentation, not all efforts were successful with RESTful document managment. The creating of a document with REST is working good (as described in sevaral topics here). But checkout and checkin of existing document files seems a little bit tricky.Example Checkout (main steps):POST: ‘int/ifsapplications/projection/v1/DocumentRevisionHandling.svc/StartFileCheckout’ with payload {"DocClass":"INVOICE","DocNo":"1000004","DocSheet":"1","DocRev":"A1"}POST: ‘int/ifsapplications/projection/v1/DocumentRevisionHandling.svc/FinishFileCheckoutWithPath’ with payload {"DocClass":"INVOICE","DocNo":"1000004","DocSheet":"1","DocRev":"A1","Path":"C:\\Users\\xxx\\Documents\\IFS","Filename":"rg1.TXT"}Having a look on the logging during a checkout and checkin there are several steps with the aurena agent. The commands with agentcalls are not initiated by the REST-requests.Has anyone experience with REST api to check in an checkout docu
Hello,We have a requirement from one of customers (APPS 10) where one report (work tasks) needs to be added to the another report (Customer Invoice) in a single PDF document which then should be attached to the Customer Invoice screen. What are the best possible ways (if any) to handle it?Please share your thoughts. Thanks & RegardsMohit.
Hi, How to easily move documents from one folder to another ?
Where can we configure that an image, added to the Media Library, automatically get ‘Media Print Option’ set to ‘Print’?When we add images to ‘Routing Operation Work Guidelines’, all images are added with ‘Media Print Option’ set to ‘Do Not Print’ - we need to manually toggle this to Print for each image added. However, when adding images to a Non Conformance Report, then the images are added with ‘Media Print Option’ automatically set to ‘Print’.I haven’t been able to find any configuration for this. There are no problems printing the images on the Work instruction when the Media Print Option have been toggled to Print.
Is there a way to automatically attach a document from Sales Basic Data/Order Type to a customer Order? Any customer order line where I use a part attaches as expected, but not when the order type is entered into the customer order header. Is this possible to do? Either with a customization or standard functionality in IFS9?Thank You
Consider the following example: Yes, I know I can use Find to filter on more attributes than are displayed here, but if I would like to see the Document Title in the LOV pulldown (instead of Description1 which is displayed by default) could I achieve this through Page Designer or would that require a modification?
In IFS Cloud one can create Document Structures. What is lacking is the possibility to either Distribute or Transmit the entire Document Structure in IFS Cloud. This requirement comes from a prospect who wants to be able to establish a contract (document) for a Sub Contract in IFS Cloud. The contract consists of a main document and potentially many attachments (to be selected from a library i.e. already present in IFS DocMan). The entire set of documents must be available for proofreading, commenting and eventually approving/signing by both internal and external parties.IFS Cloud has many elements of the solution on-board, such asDocument Structure Document Distribution Document Transmittal Document ApprovalHowever it’s not possible to make them all work together i.e. distribute/transmit/approve/sign an entire document structure at once.
Can I somehow Distribute or Transmit an entire Document Structure in IFS Cloud? It looks to me like only the top document is considered in both scenarios (starting from the Document Structure Navigator, using Share/Distribute when focus is on the topmost document in the structure).
I have request to export the files stored in IFS to external file storage how do I do that.what is the foreign key in the table where the file BLOB are stored.for example I have invoice and and document attached to the invoice. so in the table where the document is stored how do I identify the file that was stored for that invoice.
When a document is ready to be approved, one opens the document revision in IEE and uses RMB to Status > Approve the following message appears:Login of and on as a different user. Same error pops up.Created another document revision. Attached no document, just processed with Status > Approve. No problems.Problem occurs with other document revisions. For the doc revision shown, a pdf document is connected. I viewed the pdf, used save as. Created a new document revision (from scratch). Checked the pdf just saved in. Status is now Preliminary, File Status: Checked In.Same error message appears. Debug reveals the following:Looking into DOC_ISSUE_API, I learn that the file size is retrieved using:Plsqlap_Record_API.Get_Value(activity_rec_, 'FILE_SIZE'); in which activity_rec_ document class, document and other parameters are passed. This is going into a lot of details.Anybody seen something like this? I will keep digging.
Hi, In Document Revision:. Is there a way to remove / hide the clock view in the letter date field that appears in the correspondence tab? BrLinda
New to doing DocMan in a Cloud environment. What would a user be unable to perform with the Aurena Agent not installed, i.e. can most functionality (create, edit, check-in, view) be done without it?Asking as I am expecting a customer to not have the address info required for running the MSI installation, and unable to configure any User Settings.
Is there a option to attach a pdf file via PL/SQL script ?I need to pass the UNC path, LU to which the file needs to be attached, doc class and title , inturn the script will attach the mentioned file in that LU
In many scenarios we have, we want to approve or release the document. Can this be done using the integration projection in regards of CreateDocument?
Background: Create new documents works fine using CreateAndImportDocument.svc/CreateDocument, but we often want to create a new revision (in order to keep history intact).Challenge: When we are invoking CreateAndImportDocument.svc/CreateDocument and supplying a new revision parameter, it doesn’t seem to accept the new revision number, e.g. payload looks as following:{ "DocClass": "ADDO_TEST", "DocNo": "1365783", "DocSheet": "1", "DocRev": "A2", "Title": "some test of ny revision", "CreateFileRef": "YES"}Even though the new revision does not exist, IFS Cloud throws: "error": { "code": "DB_OBJECT_EXIST", "message": "Resource already in use.", "details": [ { "code": 20112, "message": "ORA-20112: DocTitle.DOCTITLEDOCNOEXIST: The document number 1365783 already exists." } ] } How can we go about creating new revisions in terms of integration? Any pointers is most welcome.
Hi all,Requirement : Send an email with all the attachments added in a Purchase Order / Purchase Order Line. The files are stored in FTP, therefore I cant use the edm_file_storate_tab to get the BLOB.So, I tried to use Batch_Transfer_Handler_Api.Download_From_Ftp method to get the files, and attach to email. And it worked for one particular document, but its failling with the below error for other documents, which are in same class, same ftp location, attached to same Purchase Order Line. Details/setup in the Document Revision screen for both are also same. The failling documents are viewable on the application without any error.Debug information also showing the same path/fileName as in edm_file_tab for these failling documents.Could you please advise on any possible reasons to failing the ftp download? or please suggest another option to attach these docs in FTP to an email.Appreciate your help.Thank you!
In the document-revision mask there is a check-box ‘structure’. The helb says about this feature:Selecting this checkbox means that the documents that form this structure can be checked in/out or viewed in the same operation. A document structure can be useful when a document consists of other documents, e. g. if a drawing has multiple subdrawings connected to it. When testing that feature with the IEE it works as described. In Aurena there is no action on check-out and check-in visible. Is that a bug?
Recently, our newly deployed workstations have been handling EDM files (attachments within IFS) differently than prior configurations. Is there a setting that defines what the IEE does when a user selects a linked document (i.e. a vendor invoice that have been uploaded to EDM and attached to the Posting Proposal). In the past this action would simply show a view of the actual document (PRF, JPG etc.), but now IFS EE triggers a “Save” dialog and will not let the user see within IEE (they must save the file then open it separately in the default viewer (depending on the file type).
Hello, I have attached documents to several task definitions in the HCM onboarding. I am able to see them, however, when they are assigned to an employee and they view the tasks, I do not see where the document can be viewed. User view: Task definition view: When logged in as myself, I can see the attachment option under Onboarding Program Details for that user, but I do not see any documents.
Hi all,Which API do I have for greating and attaching a document to an object (in my example for an engineering part revision)? We need this for an interface via Boomi.I think it could be this premium integration API CreateAndImportDocument:Does anyone have any experience? Thanks, Mike
I have a scenario to send attachements through mail. I’m using Batch_Transfer_Handler_API.Download_From_Db method in code to read files. When I execute the code, I get following error.Failed to read binary data from database: Entity instance not found. We have a user who changed her name and the new name was not renamed but created as a new user name (ID)That caused problem now when editing earlier made attachments (with the old ID).Is there a way to grant permission the the new user to be able to edit her previously made attachments? It is in APP9 Inventory Part and from File Operations she would need the right to edit the attachments she did with her old ID.Any suggestions?
I was bitten by this myself just now so I thought to share it (this should be in the documentation but is not yet). When you use Shared repositories in Docman in IFS Cloud (Remote deployment option only), you need to make sure that any folder, if you specify any in the Path field, is there on the server. It will not be created for you.So, as in the example below, the folder k8s122test must exist in the shared folder on the server. Otherwise you will get a cryptic error message...
