Hi,In the Document Object Connection, i have created a custom field such as :SELECT CASEWHEN INSTR(a.KEY_REF,'EMP_NO=')>0 THEN Company_Person_API.Get_Person_ID(regexp_substr(a.KEY_REF,'[^^|=]+',1,2),regexp_substr(a.KEY_REF,'[^^|=]+',1,4))WHEN INSTR(a.KEY_REF,'PERSON_ID=')>0 THEN regexp_substr(a.KEY_REF,'[^^|=]+',1,2)ELSE '' END FROM IFSAPP.ENHANCED_DOC_REFERENCE_OBJECT a where a.objid = :objidSo i can fetch the person ID in this field, and then I have created a custom tab in the Personal File that links to this custom field so i am able to retrieve all the documents pertaining to an employee wherever the document is located.It works, however performance is very low… is there a way to index my custom field PersonID? The Indexed box is grey ... Or has anyone found a more elegant solution ?

Hello All!We have created a new EDM Repositore with the follow content:Document Management\Basic Data\EDM Basic → RepositoriesRepository-ID: NameDocumentclass: DEBESType: Shared folderAdress/Rep: ID from Rep.-Address and UserPfad: Q:\DEBESStatus: activeDocument Management\Basic Data\EDM Basic → RepositoriesRep Address: CompanyNameRep User: ActiveDirectory-LogIn on the serverRep Password: ActiveDirectory_Password on the serverIn the windows explorer of the IFS Application Server we also installed a network folder called “Q:\” it linked to the document server “\\Servername\”. Wie can write files via Windows to this network folder. But when we upload documents we get the following message “Failed to upload file to the file system repository [Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden]”

Customer is getting following error ‘no data found’ when trying to edit and and check-in a document. Did 'Undo Checkout Document' and then again tried to edit and check in, but still get the error. Anyone has an idea on how to get this resolved? Appreciate any input.

A customer is having an issue, when a document is attached to Instant Invoice window, it is not visible in Ledger Items tab of the Customer Analysis window.During the investigation it was identified that the View Name for the LedgerItem LU is different compared to the core environment. See the screenshots below.Customer EnvironmentCore EnvironementWhen the view name is changed as per the core environment issue is getting resolved.According to the technical documentation, view should be the base view. But in the in the System Info of the Ledger Items tab the view is mentioned as LEDGER_ITEM_CU_DET_QRY

Does anyone else use IFS for their customs documentation. We are looking at using IFS for our import and export documents and was wondering if anyone else uses for this purpose. thank you Yvette Clarke

Hello, I’m trying to find a solution to help automate a few steps in the process of our customer relations. We print the packing list and BOL, have the driver sign the paperwork, and attach the signed paperwork directly to the shipment in IFS. Upon attachment of the signed documentation, I’d like to trigger an email to the customer/ customer relations team with this document.  Triggering the email and dictating the path of the email is no problem, but I’m not sure how to make the files attach to an email since they are BLOBs in our database and not files on an FTP due to SOX requirements. Is it possible to attach the BLOB to an email so that the receiver sees the attached PDF?

hi , i have set up word macros in TARMAC environnement (21R2) to create word template document for business opportunity.Despite the settings done in document management  and the aurena print agent installed in chrome, the macros do not run. is there other settings to do, please ?Thanks for your help .BR Emmanuel

Users have training materials from "IFS AdminTrng (Apps9)"  That material contains a link to a "List of Activities and Windows/Screens":  ..........ifsdoc/f1doc/Foundation1/040_administration/210_security/020_permission_sets/reference_itd/feature_activities.htm.  However, that list does not cover ALL the Permission Set Activities, for example, "Document Management" Activities.  Where can I find or get "HELP", i.e., explanations, on all the Activities NOT covered in Foundation1 help as noted ?? 

Hello All, Our customer wishes to use digital signature functionality so they have created a new custom event action for event DOCUMENT_APPROVED. Method:Edm_File_Sign_Util_API.Certify_Pdf_File (‘&DOC_CLASS', '&DOC_NO', '&DOC_SHEET' , '&DOC_REV' , 'Signature from IFS'); They have generated new user certificates in keystores window and when the user try to approve the document, below error “Invalid file name” comes.As you can see there are no special characters in the file name. Is it possible to create an object connection transformation so that all documents connected to a Work Task will be visible on the Project Activity?Will we then be able to see these transformed object connection documents in the Project Roll up?

is there a way to find out what are the permissions or projections required for document approvals under customer order. i am struggling to find out.

Hi,We are running IFS Cloud 21r2.I have installed add-in Aurena Agent on my PC and it works from Google Chrome but not from Edge. It should work from Edge?Any suggestions how we can get it to work in Edge? BR, Patric 

How can i approve the document under approvals , i dont see a button for approving and rejecting. I can only see the object details. 

Hello,we are currently using the Map Position module to display the locations of our machines. In particular for our service department and their work order planning, it would be important for us to be able to see the address as well as the coordinates. We get the coordinates / geoposition via an REST-Webservice that the machine manufacturer makes available to us. Is there a way to do reverse geocoding with the add-on map position? Or are we forced to connect an API elsewhere?Thank you!

We have created a document class for SOPs. We would love to be able to connect those SOPs relating to topics specific to the purchase order management to the Purchase Order window, regardless of which record is pulled up. If someone was making a new Purchase Order and it was blank or viewing an existing one we would like them to be able to access the same generic SOP document from the attachments. 

Is it possible to see attached documents in both companies when creating a multi company voucher or a supplier invoice?  Currently we are only able to view the document in the company we entered in,.Thanks for your helpLaura

Hi Guys, Ok, I’m back again with a simple question: Does IFS come with an included 365 day calendar? My calibrations are mostly done by outside vendors who use a 365 day calendar.Example: if the calibrate something on 4/23/2022 (Saturday), then it will be due on 4/23/2023 (Sunday). But the calendar my company uses, skips Sundays and holidays, so IFS shows this gauge due on 4/24/2023 - This will NOT make my auditors happy. So, I’m wondering if IFS has an existing calendar, a 365 day calendar, that i could use? Thanks very much for your assistance, Calibration Guy.

Using App10 AurenaI created a Permission to Create and Attach Documents.  I granted DOCUMENT_ATTACHMENT, DOCUMENT_ATTACHMENT_VIEWER (just to be through), DOCUMENT_EXPLORER, MEDIA_LIBRARY and MEDIA_LIBRARY_ARCHIVE to itI open a page, populate the records, click on ‘Attachments’ and I get the “No Access” message.  Click OK and the Attachment functions are available, and I can view and create attachments.  Close and Open Attachments again and the “No Access” message does not appear.If I leave the Attachments open and select another record on the Page, the “No Access” message appears.  Click OK and I have access to the record. If I select the previous record I don’t get the “No Access” message.  If I select the second record again I don’t get the “No Access” message.  This will continue to happen for each ‘new’ record I select as long as I leave the Attachments open.If I close the Attachments and select another record I don’t get the “No Access” message but i

When using CreateAndImportDocument.svc we invoke the CreateAndImportDocument.svc/GetDocumentUrl which returns a URL in the form of: https://<cloud-environment>:<port>/int/ifsapplications/projection/v1/CreateAndImportDocument.svc/EdmFileSet(DocClass='<class>',DocNo='<no>',DocSheet='1',DocRev='A1',DocType='ORIGINAL',FileNo=1)/FileDataNow, uploading original works fine - but what about uploading the view copy? I’ve tried changing doctype to VIEW in URL (and yes, EDM basic has been setup to PDF = VIEW) etc but I’m kinda stuck.If someone could point me in the right direction I would be very happy (extra ping goes to @Mathias Dahl  :) )This is IFS Cloud21R2 atm I am testing against.

Hi, we are using IFS Cloud 22R1.My customer want attache a link/url of PDF file onto purchase order line /customer order line. we tried object connection - “Attachment”  and “Media” but with Attachment , you have to upload a real PDF file (instead of link)and Media don’t support Link/URL. is any workaround for it?

Hi, I attached serveral types of files under phurchase order :pdf, doc, txtand find only [*.pdf] file will show the “view” button. what is the logic behind it? is there anyway to config it?
