Dear all, May I  ask the reason why the ‘’select file’’ option doesn't work for one of my customers who has enabled the IFS Aurena extension? The button select file, when clicked appears to do nothing. Since drag and drop is also not available, they are not in a position to attach documents via the select file option as well. Best regards,Udanee

Customer’s question:- When creating a DocRev ObjectConnection to a CustomerInfoContact you only have three, impractical fields in the selector. You also do not get any more search fields when clicking on "Find". Ideally you would see the Name, Forename, Company, etc. of the CustomerInfoContact.- The same is true for SupplierInfoContact.- SupplierShipment does not have a selector at all.- When creating a NCR ObjectConnection to a SupplierShipment, you also do not get any selector at all.

An user wants a list of companies, CUSTOMER screen, that has an attachment on any of the tabs. I find the table EDM_FILE_STORAE_TAB but I can’t find a table to link Customer too. 

The function to select a macro for example for editing a document is working good in IEE.We get a question if there are more than one macros defined for one document process.In IEE it looks like This dialog is not shown in Aurena. Is there a special parameter which must be set in Aurena to get the same behavior?

Hi,We have a scenario where same document revision is attached in Manual Supplier Invoice and Posting Proposal. For one document detach option is not available in Manual Supplier Invoice, but not in Posting Proposal. For other document detach option is not available in both Manual Supplier Invoice and Posting Proposal. I believe these documents are transferred from Manual Supplier Invoice to Posting Proposal through Object Connection Transformation. When it was transferred  like this can we only detach the document from originally attached LU? If that is the case is there a work around where we can detach a document from a LU which is not the original LU?Also by looking at the document revision how can I identify what is the LU where this document was originally attached? Thank You and Best Regards,Hasi

Hello,Every time I open a jpg attachment in apps 10 IEE, I get the “How do you want to open this file?” prompt by Windows, and regardless of how many times I check the “always use this app to open .jpg files” checkbox, I always get this prompt when I open a jpg attachment. I know Windows is storing this app as the default program because Windows never prompts me with this when I open jpgs via other methods like email attachments, locally saved jpgs, network pictures, etc. It’s only occurring when I open a jpg via the IEE app. I can even navigate to the folder where IFS downloads the jpg file and open it successfully from there. I’ve tried resetting the Photos app in Windows and re-confirming the default app choices in app settings. I’ve spoken to other users of our apps 10 IEE setup and they don’t appear to have this same issue. Any thou

Is it possible to delete a record scanned image (once processed an invoice becomes a record) from the system but maintain the metadata to attest to the fact that the record existed?This is in relation to retention and disposition and is also a statutory requirement in South Africa in regard to the Protection of Personal Information which states that a record must be destroyed once it has served the purpose that it was collected for. Kind Regards

In Apps 10 we had a full text search in Docman which was initially served by the Search Domains functions. I can't find such a search in Cloud 21R1 anymore. Does this mean for Cloud 21R1 that there is no full text search anymore? What are the alternatives?GreetingsOliver

Hello all, was looking for information on multi site pick list creation. We have task in place by the user which works if manually printed. The problem is when any user tries to create a pick ticket automatically is will only print to the main site and not the site listed on the case. We do not have order takers manually releasing orders so the database task isn’t really affective. Any help would be much appreciated on this topic.

We are running into an issue where the aurena agent will not enable in the Edge browser but it does in Chrome.Note: we are on 23R1.4We have the agent installed on users computers and we have the aurena extension enabled. IFS Environment: Apps 10 UPD14.I created a Boomi process that uploads a file into the document attachment section in IFS.This was done using the Boomi HTTP Client connector using method PATCH.  I was wondering if this could also be done using the Boomi IFS Aurean connector?Projection: CreateAndImportDocument Object: EdmFileSet

Most of our users are currently unable to open certain checked in word documents using document management. IFS APPS 10 UPD13 - Windows 11. In some cases it will open the document, appear to load (with the watermark flashing across the document) and then close itself immediately. Other times it will look like it will open (windows loading cursor) but not open at all. Some of these documents appear to be password protected. Other users are getting the error “no view file available, are you sure you want to check in the document?” when when they check out a document, edit and try to check back in.Any ideas?Thanks

Hi,Can I know how we can add a new service for the object connections? Customer needs to add new service for Add, Edit and Delete SharePoint links in the attachment panel for selected pages. 

We are getting a System Exception Error on the document folder navigator screen for a user.  The error is: Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.  The attachments window is open and the screen runs through the bottom document section.  The user has to close IFS in order to get the screen to function again.   We will occasionally get the same message when update scripts are ran.  Our IFS systems administrator has to run the script again and it works the second time with out changing anything.   What would cause this error and how do we fix it so our user doesn’t have to close IFS all the time.

The customer wants to securely store and retain older, less frequently accessed, or inactive documents. They want to free up space in the main document repository for current and regularly used files. The option I can think of is ‘Move repository’ but in IFS, we dont have the option of only moving obsolete files. looking for ideas on how to tackle this. ( for APP10 and Cloud both)

Hi,after update to UPD19 we are not able to use command “Send document by e-mail” from Document Revisions. Some users get this error messageOther users does not get this error message, but nothing happens when we are expecting to have a new email message with link.Does anyone have any experience with this  

when there is no direct mapping, a custom method is the usual way to set up a transformation.Instead of using a method, can we use a custom field  to set up an Object Connection Transformation when the direct mapping fields are not available in the Target?the custom filed is not coming up in the LOV of available fields for me.

Hi all,A customer is installing Aurena Agent using their remote software installation procedure to all users in a group. What they have done isMass rollout the .msi file. Pushed silent installation with the TEST environment url. Chrome extension was pushed out and enabled successfully for Chrome. Extension was installed on Edge too. Above worked. Question:How do we now change the url to PROD? Uninstall and reinstall with correct url? Hello, I'm using document management in APP10When I send an instant invoice using message class INVOIC, media code E-INVOICE, the image of the invoice is automatically attached in Attachments /Documents The document revision for such invoice is in Released status, because it is automatically changed from Preliminary to Approved and then Released.Why does the document revision not remain in the Preliminary status?There is no approval template or event action Is this an intended behavior of the application?Is it a matter of setup?Best regards,Aneta

Working in IFS CloudI am looking into implementing Work Instructions in Workbench through Work Guidelines. Our current routings structures are very template oriented, including Standard Operations as much as possible.I am trying to work out how to get Media attached to lower level objects to flow up to the next level, ie Pictures connected to a Work Guideline Template to move to a Standard Operation when attached, then to a Routing Template Operation, etc. Ultimately the goal is for media attached at any step in the chain to be connected at the Routing level and ultimately within the Operation Guide in Workbench.A few of these connections are standard functionality and work as expected, a couple I have had to manually enable MediaLibrary service and create Object Connection Transformations to connect these items, and in certain cases I can bypass the intermediate steps and make it work, for example anything with a Work Guideline Template connected works. 

Greetings, IFS community! Documents are saved in the database and not on an external FTP server.  Will it be possible to search for a document using words that are contained within the document as parameters? I am capable of searching and creating simple queries and quick reports in DOCMAN that utilize custom fields and fields from the tables.  However, I am trying to conduct a search within the attached document for keywords.  Would this be possible? Could you please provide me with some instructions on how to accomplish this if it is possible?  We are using IFS 10 Thank you.
