Reading in IFS Help about order types, I came across this:  “A default order type defined per site-customer combination has the highest priority, default order type on site has the next priority and default order type on customer has the least priority. “ Can someone tell me what a “site-customer combination” is?I know how to set defaults by customer and by site, but not “customer-site” combined.

Why is it not possible to put discount to the PO header level?Although it is possible to add it as a negative charge it then results in a wrong tax calculation. 

 Is there any standard functionalityto exclude sq lines with zero price from print SQ report in IFS8. Can anyone please check and update me.

Case: IFS Customers customer uses part codes different from what IFS Customer uses internally. There are 3 specific cases which are described in the attached sheet which mainly focus on 1-n and n-1 relationship. Sales Part Cross Reference was the obvious first functionality to investigate, but that didn't work out. Any help and experience with comparable situations, is highly appreciated!(realtion = relation not allowed to update the title  )

Hello,I am trying to invoice one order and I made already the pick up but now I want to Deliver the order and the option it’s not available.

We have a customer order where we have 2 staged billing lines on.  The lines have been completely invoiced and have also been completely delivered.  The lines are still showing delivered as the status instead of invoiced/closed.  Why?

Hi all, When a user is connected to a Person ID, reference screen shot below: the system automatically makes the above Person as the Main Contact Representative in Customer window since, the user is also connected in CRM & SRM Basic Data– Representative window.  Customer Window:  But in Customer window CRM Info tab, there is a separate Main Representative connected.  Please let me know why is the application picking the logged in user as the Main Representative despite Main Representative is already connected in CRM Info tab. Is this is a bug?, if not please explain the functionality.  Thank you. 

Hi, It seems the option ‘Pick by choise’ used from shipment - Report picking of picklist lines does not work if material is customer owned?Is that a limitation to this functionality?We are running IFS 10 upd 3

We are currently on Apps8, in the process of moving to Apps10.On occasion, an error is made and we don’t bill a customer enough for a physical product.They agree to be billed the correct amount.What is the best way to charge the additional amount, using the specific physical sales part from the original order (for reporting and accounting purposes), but not moving inventory?

Using Sourcing Rules to select Supply Codes, can this be used to PARTIALLY source the Order Line requirement from inventory, and then raise an order for the remaining balance? I have tried to use this to select Invent Order and then Purch Order Trans, but IFS seems to only be able to select the option that can FULLY deliver the quantity required, and does not allow a partial supply based on Invent Order and then order the rest from a supplier based on Supply Code Purch Order Trans. Can I assume this is not possible?

Is it possible to grab the customer ID value and use it in another tabs search?I have created a custom tab called Product Info, that uses a reference field to find customer contacts and I would like to limit the contacts that appear down to only the associated customer ID.I would like to use the customer ID value from the general info tab for the search. 

Using Apps 10 and want to create a custom event that will send an email to the user who creates a prospect (converts from a business lead) without an address.  IFS deletes the business lead when it converts the lead to a customer/prospect.  Thoughts or suggestions? Which LU would be appropriate to create the custom event on? Which PLsql API would be good to get the Address?

We currently price our parts out to 6 decimal points.  When we try to print a quote with pricing extended to more then 2 decimals, it rounds up and prints only 2 decimals.  How do we fix this?

Hi all,IFSapps 10.Sales part screen. There is a field called “min sales qty” which when entered will put an advisory message on the customer order line if the qty is not met.The requirement is to prevent users from entering qty’s that are not multiples of the min sales qty.E.g min sales qty of 300 EACH.User not allowed to enter 301 but currently would be allowed with no message. I can think of two ways of doing this. One is having a custom event to block this from happening. Second is to set up new sales parts with a different UOM and price/ inventory conversion in place.Is there a better IFS way of doing this? Many thanks,  

One of our users mistakenly raised a CO with a lot of lines to the wrong customer, invoiced and closed it. Now we’ll have to raise an RMA and approve for credit. That can be done. However is there an easy way in IFS, maybe at RMA level to ‘transfer’ the parts to the new customer rather than returning parts to the inventory and reserving them again for the new CO with new customer info? Question might sound stupid, but noticed that this has happened quite a few times in our warehouse so thought of looking at ‘easy ways’ to assist our colleagues when they repeat this mistake. :)

When creating a sales quote - adding a line - line not showing discount(%)

Hi, I want to create a Lobby Data Source which shows the sum of values stored in 3 views. Therefore, I need to create an IAL. But I struggle to get the desired result. I created the SQL Statement in the SQL Query Tool and it gives the result I want. Some of our projects has multiple tasks, completed at different dates, that generate different orders.  Is it possible to tell, when viewing project connections, which task relates to which order? Below is an example of the Task and Project Connection tabs.   Project Tasks: Project Connections: 

We are using IFS 10. For new part business we create a Business Opportunity.  From the Opportunity Line, we create an Estimate.  When the Estimate is complete, we transfer the information back to the Opportunity, confirm the opportunity and create a Sales Quotation.We use a similar process for existing parts, but skip the Estimate.When we determine the Sales Quotation is won/lost, we close the Sales Quotation and indicate the won/loss status.  For existing parts, this rolls back to the Business Opportunity line and sets the line to won/loss.  However, this doesn’t happen for new parts.  These stay In Process and there does not seem to be a way to get them finalized.Is there a way to finalize the status on Business Opportunity lines for new part?

I have set up customer consignment stock. I deliver parts and then report cunsumption. Is there any way to cancell consumption reporting? Apps 9upd13 FYI: I have also setup custom objects to report consumption agains specific order, since there is full support in IFS standard code for that, but some reason client don’t support that. :)

We are getting an ‘Error’ while customer order on release.. 

Hello,  Hope y’all doing great and safe I use the IFS 10 and when making a commission agreement I noticed that there are only the options of calculate commissions of order entry and invoiced. But we would like to calculate it based on paid invoices. Is there a way or a suggested work around to perform it?  Thanks in advance, Best Regards  

Has anyone tried to restrict the access to notes in IFS9? We have several sites and they’d like to add site specific notes to customer records but it seems all users see all notes.
