Is there a way to get the customer signature entered on the mobile devices when completing a WO (MWO) to the backoffice work order report? Assume this signature is saved as a blob in the database but how can we get this into a Crystal report?

Case Management Portal

We are looking into expending our IFS 10 environment with Case Management. However we have the desire to use some kind of (B2B) portal so that our customers can register cases and look at the status of their cases. I cannot find any information regarding this being included in the Aurena B2B. Does anyone have any experience with this?

IFS Apps 10 Map Position

We are using a custom menu in APPS 10 to create a location and add it to a functional object. The map position does not automatically generate. Is there any way to make this automatic or is there some process that can be run via an event to make it set the map positions?

Can I return multiple columns of data from a Client Script?

Is it possible to convert the returned data from a Client Script SQL to multiple columns in a Client Script so that you can return muliple columns into a Data Source which I can directly show in a list element in the Lobby? From what I have learned I am able to create a ‘Client Script SQL’, which I call from an Client Script with the function getDBValues(“Client Script SQL id” ). From there I am able to return a list of data in a column called Return. This is some default ‘column’ which I can return from a Client Script, but I am wondering if I can return multiple columns in the Client Scrip for the Data Source to read and select instead of just one called ‘Return’?

When scheduling All Parts Cost Calculation job what are the best practices ?

We encounter a situation in a Customer environment that scheduled job for ‘All Parts Cost Calculation’ creates issues due to its long running time. Customer runs this job on a site that has nearly 30k parts. For the cost set 2. and for Active part status. Both the Include Configurable Parts and Copy Estimated Mtrl. Cost From Inventory Part ticks ON. The default batch queue has been used. Please suggest any best practices known when comes to scheduling this job.

Triptracker v1.3.23 for IOS

Following the latest release of IFS Trip-tracker for APP 9 a number of our mobile engineers reported that the purpose text box went black when they tried to enter a trip purpose and the date time scroller no longer appeared when they tried to enter the date. We managed to figure out that it was because they had their I Phone on a dark screen setting and by changing the setting the problem disappeared. Just posting in case someone else finds the same problem

Version : App10/IEE One of my Customer needs following calculation for a proposed date considering manufacture calendar Proposed date= sysdate(including time) + some lead time (in hrs) (when a proposed date falls on non-working day , it should fetch the next working day) Would it be possible to facilitate using existing methods from Work_Time_Calendar_API ? HI,I am using Mobile Work Order on IOS pushed out via MDM and a custom B2B App. I wondered if anyone had any experience in this setup. As we have an on-prem touch apps server is it possible to push the app out with the login parameters pre populated, eg systemID, touch apps server url and username/pass. We can pull user name and password from MDM.

MWO Not updating IFS WO Status

We have an issue where work orders on the mobile device are changed to Work Done but the work orders in IFS are not updating and are still showing a status of Started.Nothing is waiting to transfer from the mobile and no failed transactions.Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve seen talk of a user guide or troubleshooting document, but cannot see any attachment of such document in this community. We are using IFS Apps 8. Any help would be appreciated RegardsShaun

IFS 9 Work Orders with Manufactured Materials

When material needs to be manufactured on a shop order for a work order, how are others handling this? The only Supply Codes on the material of a work order are Invent Order and Project inventory. MRP will run and pick up the demand, but the manufactured assemblies often get mixed in with the production materials. We are currently creating our own shop orders for these, but they loose all connection to what you need the material for other than notes.

IFS 9 Patch 14 Work order Dates

We are attempting to analyze how we are using the dates and use them more efficiently in our system. We know that the Planned start date will populate the Material requisition due date, and in turn the Material needed date. Other than that and the Requested Finish populating the Wanted Delivery date we have not been able to figure out any other details about how to use them to plan for any part shipping and picking lead times. We have not yet ventured into the standard jobs and operations, but are simply trying to get the dates to help us. Before the latest patch the planned start date would give the Customer Wanted Delivery date a starting date to calculate the shipping lead time, but now that does not seem to be working either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to properly use the dates? We are not yet using mobile either.

Resource Criteria Tab in IFS Project

Has anyone used the Resource Criteria tab on the Project form? I am looking at it and it looks like we can set priority for certain values over and above just Resource ID. But what is not clear is what this actually does for us in the application. The help states that “Once the resource criteria has been decided and entered for the project the resource planning can be performed much easily.” I do not know what that means. Is there some sort of external project planning engine that I am not aware of that is going to use this data to plan resources and pass allocations back into the project? Does anyone have a good use case for this tab/functionality?
