Transfer Maintenance Time Transactions

Hi,

 

In Apps 10 environment we are getting an error for maintenance time transaction as below.

 

“Period 2021 - 01 is not open for user group XX in Company XXX”

 

Actually 2020 December, 2021 January, 2021 February periods have been closed already and at the time of closing these transactions were not there. Suddenly there transactions are appeared in the lobby and by viewing through ‘Work Task Posting Analysis’ window it shows this error. 

 

Some of the transactions are at the ‘Reported’ status and some of them are at ‘Reposted’ status.

 

Can you guys explain what is root cause for this issue and how to solve this?

Hello Thakshila,


Users can create Transactions for closed periods as well, if they later reported some work selecting the transactions date for that particular closed period. You can check this work transactions widow and see for the created date then it should be a later date than the Transaction date.
If accounting period + user groups are closed then system should transfer the voucher into to next open period as usual.

1. Check whether the accounting period is open though the accounting period for the user group is closed.
2. If then close accounting Period as well and try to transfer the Transaction and see whether it works.
3. There is bug correction 157363 for above issue, see whether it has been applied in your solution.

I.e. Solution from RnD in above patch is even if the accounting period is open, at least if one User group is closed, still system should create vouchers.
