Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

Does anyone create Serial Objects for software? We develop OEM machinery along with developing our own software that sometimes runs on a serialized machine (Serial Object is created for the machine) and sometimes runs independently of the machine. We would like to start creating Serial Objects for our software for Work Orders and Call Center purposes. The software that is tied to a serialized machine, we can use the Part No of the software with the Serial No of the machine to create the Serial Object. A couple of issues/questions that we have:How to assign a serial no (or develop a serial no) for software that is not tied to a serialized machine. This Serial Object will then be connected to a Functional Object. We have functional objects for all of our Customer plants. Some of our software is a Non-inventory Part included on the Sales Order. We would like to automatically create the Serial Object upon shipment of a Customer Order and automate it as much as possible.Does anyone utilize

Hoping someone could help.  Implementing MaintEngApp for a customer but have an issue with the Purchase Requisition process.The Refresh All Purchase Parts task has been scheduled and the synch rule for purchase parts has been run but we are not seeing the purchase parts in the MWO.  We can see them in IEE.All other areas of the app is working.  Is there another step that is required when pushing the purchase parts to the MaintEngApp?

We are currently working on upgrading from IFS 9 to IFS 10 EE (update 11 currently). I want to make sure that we always have a resource group connected to the work tasks that are generated so I am trying to figure out the best way to use work task templates (service work with most of the time one task per WO). Many of our work orders/work tasks are generated to have an outside contractor actually get a PO from us to do the work on site. We would use the internal resource groups for who needs to handle the call internally until completion. I found another thread that allowed me to understand that I can use a Non-inventory Purchase part to be able to automatically start a requisition, but I am trying to understand what the planning of External would be otherwise. We normally have been using a non-inventory part for our labor to contractors because the price is always changing due to scopes.I originally set this template up as line two was simply set up under planning and external manuall

Hello CommunityIn order to define the size of our future tablets I would like to know if the data that is loaded into the tablet to do a work order is automatically emptied when the work order is finished or if it is a manual operation.Thank you! 

On our Middleware I removed TLS1.1 from the protocol, leaving TLS 1.2 set. When we disabled SSL2, SSL3, TLS 1.0 and TLS1.1 I get errors on our on-premise mobile user connections. Are there additional TAS settings that may be needed to remove old protocols? I appreciate your assistance. Thank youMarjie

If documents are attached to an object in IFS Applications they are always shown as tiles with only few information. In IEE you could configure if they should be shown as symbol, list or details. Is there a similar possibility in Aurena to show all attached documents in a table with the possibility of selecting columns, filter data, etc.?

Hi Community,A user was trying to do a new requisition using MWO app and error below error message in screenshot below. Do you know what could cause this kind of error message?  How do you resolve or fix it?  

With a recent update to Apps 10 came the ability to execute a service order invoice approval online (rather than a batch job background process).  I see the RMB for this in the invoice approval screen but it’s always greyed out.  Does anyone know how to enable the online processing for service invoice approvals?

Dear Experts,I would like to get your help on below business scenario which happens in MRO Engine workshops.“Engine workshop receives an Engine. Let's say a module from that engine is Module A. According to the requirements, they perform modifications on its components and assemble the module back as Module B. In the IFS system, the relevant assembly shop order's assembled module part number is expected to be changed from A to B. How this can be done in IFS App10?NOTE: This is happening for Pratt & Whitney and CFM Engines.Appreciate your help on this matter.

I am trying to understand how the categories are supposed to be working in IFS10 EE on the work task templates. I have the item classes assigned and then have set up the template in the Failure Analysis. I understand that if we do not have the Cateory Item Class of the one we want to set it up under we will not get the option in the analysis. What is the purpose of the rest of the categories? I am looking for ways to lesson the LOV for the users selecting task templates based upon conditions of their work order, but may not be going as deep as having a different task template assigned to every item class & Symptom set up in the failure analysis as the “Select Task from Item Class” requires. Is there something we are missing in the set up?

Where i can get more details on Mobile Work Order , like what are the features and screens. How to integrate it with service module of IFS. Is there a way to add custom reports to this mobile work order application .

Hello, I can't find option to disable visibility of all approval steps in Aprroval (Document Management).In IFS 9 this checkbox was available : IFS 9In IFS 10 this option is missing IFS10 

In request search page , the data set retrieved by some filter condition , required to capture in Excel or pdf . In web instance is it possible ?

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the status for each individual line of the operations i a work order? Or does the lines only follow the status of the whole work order?The picture is in swedish but i can only choose “Cancelled” as a status of the operation line.

Good Afternoon All,Can anyone advise if there is a way in which the Team Leader details can be viewed on the Mobile Work Order App.  We want to use this functionality to inform the engineer who the Office point of contact/lead is for the job. The fields below are located within the Prepare Tab of the Work Order - Many thanks for your assistance 

If you have a Maintenance Employee in multiple resource groups and you’re using Work Task Clockings from mWO, IFS will put the resource group linked to the demand as the resource group on Work Task Clocking.  And if you’re doing service it will drive the correct sales pricing.  Issue I have is regardless of how an organization bills an employee time, he should always be costed the same (like a default resource group for cost).  Is there a way to do this?

Hi All I created a Document class under which I plan to connect a certain set of documents to either PO header or line (or both) in the future. Now I need to give all IFS users in my organization ‘View Only’ access to this Doc Class. I read the following post and the answer by @Thilini Kumarasinghe and noticed that PO is not among the standard object types available for access control.   Can anybody guide me through the steps on how should I do this with regards to the access setup? Thank You
