I would like to know if the data on the device is encrypted and secured from external access in the MWO?

Would be great to know! As for some customers there are external parties using the Mobile Work Order on their devices.
The data is somehow stored as a local database, but yeah, is this data encrypted?

Yes. We use SQLCipher to encrypt the local database
