Is it possible to update a Sell Price on a service line once pushed to the Customer Order?  We receive an error stating it must be done in the Work Order but wondering if there is a bypass flag somewhere in the basic data to avoid that. We are using IFS APS10 Thank You

In Apps 9 on the material requisition tab of the Separate Standard job view, you could RMB on a new line and use the option LOV from Purchase Part. When added to a work order, this would automatically generate a Purchase Requisition on the work order. Is there a similar functionality in Apps 10 using the Work Task Template?

Scanning on Receiving Screen.We have a requirement from one of our customers, that on receiving screen they would like to have the scanning facility (wifi scanner) in such a way that on units tab, as soon as serial is entered in row 1, it automatically goes to new row and user is able to just continuously keep scanning the serial numbers (like how we have in supermarkets).They would not like to new button every time. to create a new row and then scan the serial.Also they would prefer even the first time they don't have to click on new. They would just want to start scanning and the entry should be created in units tab automatically. They just want to scan one after the other and system should automatically consider it as a new serial. Is there an option to do so? 

I’ve noticed alot of users triggering the following error in our mobile error run log   It states:   Error: EXCEPTION Message: Person ID passed in is not valid or is not a mobile user. ... Stack Trace:    at Metrix.BusinessServer.BusinessPolicies.SharedTablesComponent.MobileManager.PerformReplicationForTable(String tableNameIn, String personIdIn) Message:PerformReplicationForTable(table:STOCK_SERIAL_ID)   Any idea what this is? I know it says not a mobile user but i can’t tell what they’re doing to get this error   Happens all day but no one is getting errors on screen, this is just on this end  

Is the Execution Time used for anything on PM Actions in Apps 10?  I understand the use of the duration which is at the work task level.  Since the introduction of duration on work tasks in Apps 10, what functionality does the execution time provide in IFS Applications 10?

Customer is getting the “Something went wrong. Check your TAs URL ” Error when tried to login with Azure AD with notify me 10(RTM) AppAdditional INFO:Customer is in apps 10 UPD8 and the Notify Me Cloud Resource is 1.0.3.0. We can confirm that the TAS configurations are fine because Trip tracker 10(RTM)  app is working fine in the same environment. And this error is only for iOS(android works fine).I have attached the AD redirect URI’s in azure it seems also fine.Please kindly provide us your comments on this./Subash Perera

I am trying to send the part information through csv outbound integration, but when the description/or any field has “ in it (example Spindle Motor") the output by default i am getting as Spindle Motor"”.Integration Log:  Map Used:Value In DB:Can anyone tell me how to correct this ? 

Is there a functionality that will give me a warning if i try to create a Work Order using a customer where the customer record is expired?

We use the service contract functionality to create annual maintenance contracts for our customers. We would like to create and assign work orders to our engineers for scheduling purposes before the contract start date (we don’t plan to create any financial postings etc until the contract starts).   Example: A service contract with a start date of 01/02/2020. We would set this up in advance and use the ‘PM Settings’ tab to create the number of work orders we require. This would create the relevant entries on the ‘PM Maintenance Plan’ tab which you can generate work orders from. However the ‘Generate Work Order’ RMB option is greyed out on the ‘PM Maintenance Plan’ tab until you reach 01/02/2020. It would be ideal if we could do this the week before, this would allow us to schedule better.   We could just put the Start Date of the Service Contract earlier, however this would mean the date doesn’t reflect the correct ‘commercial’ start date.

Is the service Report in mWo Service 10 supposed to not show expenses that have been reported in mobile?

Let me preface this with telling you I know absolutely nothing about IFS. I work for an MSP and one of our newest clients uses it. I wasn’t able to find any KB, and reaching out to IFS support didn’t help - they wouldn’t talk to me without a ticket. I have a user that needs to print from IFS. I need a print agent as a go between her windows printers and IFS right? which one should i get? I know they used cirrato in the past.She also is unable to drag and drop files from her desktop to attach them to documents, any workaround there?Once again, any KB links accessible by non-subscribers would be greatly appreciatedTIA

Hi, Is there a way to make a field in mobile work order mandatory?For example make “Work Type” as mandatory for user entering New Work. It may be of course controlled by an event but when the event fires and the whole work in mWO will be done offline, the work order won’t  be created in application as the event will stop the process of creating task. Best regards,Hubert

Hi all,I’m working on an IFS Apps 10 environment connected to IFS PSO.The 2 applications are connected, but when the LOAD message is sent from Apps to PSO, I have the following error message in the Application Messages :Exception while sending dataCaused by: ifs.fnd.base.SystemException: Post error: 413 (Request Entity Too Large).Does anyone faced this issue and have an idea of the root cause?Thanks in advance for your help!Gladys.

Are there any guidelines regarding the amount of mobile data that is used in the MWO app (ideally the apps 10 version)? I’m referring to the mobile data usage for a typical technician on a typical day.I realise that this question is extremely open ended and it will depend on the amount of tasks that are synced and the number attachments and pictures that are available. It would be great if there is any information on this, or maybe if anyone can share their own experience? 

We are currently working in Apps 10 of IFS.  Our scenario is working on a Work order in site A but need material from Site B.  Is it possible to generate a Transport task to pull inventory from site B directly within the Work Order?   If the answer is no, is it possible to Manually reserve inventory on an active Transport Task from within the Work Order? Thank You

In IFS Apps 10 UPD 10, we are trying to trigger automatic creation of a PM/WO when a machine component reaches a certain threshold of usage.Example: machine #1 needs recalibrating after every 1000 cases of product X is reported via Shop Orders.  1000 cases relates to a number of machine cycles. I am looking at Test points/Parameters tab on Functional object but the measurement (1000 cases) will not be manually entered. I assume I need a counter of some sort when Shop Order for product X is reported.Once the counter reaches the threshold, we want to have a WO automatically created (I think I read this is via a background job.)  not sure if I need a custom event and event action or if there is standard functionality in Maintenance I am digging in to IFS Help but can’t quite put the pieces together. Anyone have something like this working?Any hints or guidance is much appreciated.Thanks

Our company is utilizing IFS9.Our company utilizes external software to help to combine several documents into one PDF format. The software name is (KOFAX).After we have combined documents into one file with the PDF format, the user attaches the PDF file to the (IFS) Document Revision.However, after we try to open the file in IFS, some fields have disappeared from the document.Before the file is loaded into IFS it looks normal and includes all of the data. The problem happens after the file is loaded into IFS.Any idea what is happening? 

Dears, We are trying to print lables from WADACO process, where we are using handheld Windows device. The issue when we complete the transaction the labels aren't printing. When checked in application there is an error message "The selected Printer is not mapped to Print agent ” We have added the printers in printer defination screen and done setup in following:Solution Manager → Integration → IFS Connect → Setup IFS Connect → Task Templates → PROCESSING_PRINT_JOBSAppreciate your help.

We are currently using the Mobile Work App.In order to investigate issues, we request service engineers to share the Device Logs.However, the files are being to big to send via e-mail and to upload to the CEC Portal of IFS. Is there a way to reduce the size of the logfiles?

Is it possible to bulk upload attachments for a particular screen, but for multiple records.Example - IFS Screen - Inventory PartNo of records - 200No of Documents - 400Need to attach a set of 2 documents to each Inventory Part.Can that be achieved through a script after placing all the files at a specific location ?
