Hello Experts, I would like to know how we can use the functionality ‘Create Findings Report’ with disposition code & disposition shop order?  

HI,We have a customer using Apps10, UPD9, and they are getting errors in their Print Manager for Delivery Notes for Shipment.  It is sporadic.  Even though the message says that ‘The system cannot find the file specified’,  you can still preview the document and the document shows up in ‘Archive’.  This is a new printer that they have just set up.  Does not seem to have any rhyme or reason as to when it will error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jo

Does anyone have experience with using RFID tags to identify Objects in the MWO app, similar to how there is the ability to scan a barcode or a QR code? The idea is that there is an RFID tag located on the object, which the technician would be able to scan using his mobile device to get the object information. I am assuming that this would need some hardware that is able to scan the RFID tag, but I would then also be interested in how that data is used in the MWO app. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Can someone help me understand why failed transactions occur in the IFS MWO service 10 App? can someone also educate me on how to interpret those failed transactions in layman's terms? how do I drill down to see those failed transactions in IFS Any Input will be appreciated.Thanks Mesh  

My Customer installed UPD11 recently and also moved the environment to a very secure infrastructure at the same time. The customer is using Android app on Samsung S6 Galaxy tablet. I know the platform operator locked down a lot of things, so this could be the reason for this behaviour. The cstomer is using On-Premise TAS. Anyway, Notifications for new work are not received on the device.  Is this anything we need to check with the IT infrastructure provider?

We get a lot of complaints from the engineers that the buttons ‘Complete’ and ‘Incomplete’ on the MWO Service 10 are irreversible. When working in the field, it is very easy to push the wrong button, and in case of these two buttons, the effect is irreversible.Please consider a pop-up asking ‘are you sure to complete the work assignment’ with a OK and Cancel option.

Hi All,If we make an extension table for TASK table, named TASK_EXT, if we want this extension table to be synced with Mobile, do we need to make separate sync rule for that table ? As per my knowledge, usually baseline sync rule of TASK table take cares of syncing other extension tables, only when that TASK_EXT table is updated with TASK table itself. If I want to update only the TASK_EXT table (not with the TASK table) and to be synced with mobile, what should I do ? We are looking to implement TAS for MWO onto our App9  system but it’s all getting confusing as to what network setting we need and where the TAS needs to be.On the diagrams I got from the Exposing to Internet document, it implies that the TAS needs to be inside our network but our tech guys are thinking the TAS should be IN the DMZ, NOT the Intranet?Has anyone set up TAS on Apps9 and how have you configured your network for best security. We do not want to expose IFS directly to the outside world as it’s secure behind the firewalls.SHOULD TAS & MWO be in the DMZ? Is that the correct place to put it?Thanks

Hi Community,what could cause this kind of error message and how do you resolve it? The user had the error when he go into the New Material screen and click the add button.  

IFS offers an Address Setup in which the field length of the address fields can be changed. The fields are 100, by default limited to 35, but these can be changed. However, there seems no Address Setup for the Location Address. And the Addres1 field in the Location Address is per default 35 and this is too short for some street names in the Netherlands. Anyone ran into this issue and suggestions how to solve it?

We are implementing the Maintenance Planning Board but we are not able to see the planned and approved HR Absence in the planning board. Is there additional setup needed or is this an coming feautre? 

Does anyone create Serial Objects for software? We develop OEM machinery along with developing our own software that sometimes runs on a serialized machine (Serial Object is created for the machine) and sometimes runs independently of the machine. We would like to start creating Serial Objects for our software for Work Orders and Call Center purposes. The software that is tied to a serialized machine, we can use the Part No of the software with the Serial No of the machine to create the Serial Object. A couple of issues/questions that we have:How to assign a serial no (or develop a serial no) for software that is not tied to a serialized machine. This Serial Object will then be connected to a Functional Object. We have functional objects for all of our Customer plants. Some of our software is a Non-inventory Part included on the Sales Order. Hoping someone could help.  Implementing MaintEngApp for a customer but have an issue with the Purchase Requisition process.The Refresh All Purchase Parts task has been scheduled and the synch rule for purchase parts has been run but we are not seeing the purchase parts in the MWO.  We can see them in IEE.All other areas of the app is working.  Is there another step that is required when pushing the purchase parts to the MaintEngApp?

We are currently working on upgrading from IFS 9 to IFS 10 EE (update 11 currently). I want to make sure that we always have a resource group connected to the work tasks that are generated so I am trying to figure out the best way to use work task templates (service work with most of the time one task per WO). Many of our work orders/work tasks are generated to have an outside contractor actually get a PO from us to do the work on site. We would use the internal resource groups for who needs to handle the call internally until completion. I found another thread that allowed me to understand that I can use a Non-inventory Purchase part to be able to automatically start a requisition, but I am trying to understand what the planning of External would be otherwise. We normally have been using a non-inventory part for our labor to contractors because the price is always changing due to scopes.I originally set this template up as line two was simply set up under planning and extern

On our Middleware I removed TLS1.1 from the protocol, leaving TLS 1.2 set. When we disabled SSL2, SSL3, TLS 1.0 and TLS1.1 I get errors on our on-premise mobile user connections. Are there additional TAS settings that may be needed to remove old protocols? I appreciate your assistance. Thank youMarjie
