Receive warning Client has requested to run in invalid locale every time we try and print a quick report

We recently performed a reconfigure on our middleware server to apply a new security certificate.Since then, our clients display a warning message when printing a quick report. It says “Client has requested to run in invalid local ‘en-US’. English, ‘en-US’ will be used instead. Correct your Locale Setting.You can click OK on this message and the quick report comes up and it can be printed. We do not use IFS Print agents. It also doesn’t come up for everyone, sometimes if you restart IFS it goes away.Has anyone else got this warning before?

FSM Mobile - compare two dates with getdbvalue

Hi all,I want to compare two datetimes, and get the amount of seconds left.I tried SELECT DATEDIFF(second, GETDATE(),ACTUAL_TRAVEL_START_DTTM) FROM task WHERE task_id = {0} This one works via the sql query tool. But if I use it in a getdvalue, no value is returned getDBValue("select CONVERT(TIME,ACTUAL_TRAVEL_START_DTTM - GETDATE()) from task where task_id = {0}", taskid);

APB sheduling shop orders

Hi, Have you encountered the following situation ?After scheduling with APB, the shop order start date is update accordingly. However, after 1 day, the date goes back to the initial shop order start date, without being rescheduled. What might be the issue behind it? Thanks!

SSL is not enabled for the admin port of HttpServer2

Hi,Recently, we are configuring Horizontal cluster for ifs app.MainServer 2 and IntServer 2 setup successfully using details of ifs document. MWS http server is not running after IFS10 UPD21 on Windows Server 2019

In the course of Update 21, we switched our MWS to Windows Server 2019 in our DEV environmentSince the installation of Update 21, the HTTP server is no longer running. The message: "SSL not enabled" We have no MWS problems on Oracle Linux and all services are running. As we have far fewer problems with Linux, we are considering moving to Linux.But what is holding us back is the autobuilder. As far as we know, F1-Mage requires Windows - we have already toyed with the idea of using WINE but have no experience of automating this.Have you found a way to run the autobuilder on Linux and automatically run F1-Mage to sign the runtime directory?Anyone else experienced this issue with Windows MWS?

Error “Records changed for xxxx" when confirming or authorizing time card day records

Some customers using the Human Resource module (especially Time Card functionality) on IFS versions older than Apps9 (i.e. prior to Apps9 Update 14 - typically nearly 20 year customers) have received this error when trying to confirm/authorize time card day records. This impacts payroll, time card authorizations, project costs, etc.

Shipment error (Report picking)

Hi everyone, We are trying to ship parts with a customer ownership, but when we “Report Picking”, this error message appears.“The ownership info on the source location does not match the ownership info on the destination location”Does anyone know what that means ? We did the same thing as usual, and normally we don't get this message, and both location are company ownership, so i dont get it. Thanks for your help !

Rename Tabs in Cloud

We are working in Cloud 23.1.3 and developing our Business Opportunity work process. Are there any best practice recommendations against renaming the tabs such as changing the tab from Sales Process to Quote/Sales Process? We have made the change and done some testing without any issues discovered so far. Is there anything that would discourage us from making this change? Is it something that could cause problems with updates?

Personal Data Management - is anonymization reversible?

Hello, I have setup Personal Data Management to anonymize the customer email address. The solution seems to work well. What I don’t understand is the following:is this just hiding the data on client side or did it really updated the value in the DB to m*********** for the email address?We are also using the email address setup in communication method to also send the invoices automatically to the customer by email every time an invoice is printed/posted. Does that mean that after anonymizing the email address it will try to send invoices per email to m*********** and the email will fail?Tagging @dsj Damith as I read some older where you have worked with Personal Data Management functionality.

Disabling the 'Detach' option in Document management Conditionally

We would like to control the ‘Detach’ option in Document Management. The requirement would be specifically to have few users with the ‘Detach’ capability for specific Document Classes and have the rest of the users in ‘View’ access. Further, we would like to control this by window level. We only need the capability of controlling the ‘Detach’ option in the Shop Order window and it should work as expected in other windows. When I tried the Access levels in Document Basics it overrides from somewhere. I created a Group with all the users and given access level as ‘View’ for the specific Document Class. Then I included the special person IDs into the Document Class with ‘Admin’ access. This did not work. Then I tried to remove the following permission from the allocated permission sets. DOC_REFERENCE_OBJECT_API.RemoveStill I could see the Detach RMB option for the user and the user is able to remove the document from the shop order window. What would be the approach to have this config

In IFS Apps 9 you can create your own rules (type External). Unfortunately, there is nothing in the documentation about creating such rules. There are only 4 examples in the code. The question is, did anyone use it and have any other examples or documentation?

Configurable part pricing based of selection of two Characteristic combination

Hi, Is it possible to setup sales pricing based on combination of configuration characteristic.For example: If I have selected ofOption A in Regulator and option 1 in Pressure range, the price offset is $100 Option B in Regulator and option 1 in Pressure range, the price offset is $120 I tried using the Sale rule by manipulating the Characteristic quantity as 1.2 to get the calculated pricing as a work around. The issue is we have lot of such cases which needs this manipulation and updating for any changes in pricing is tricky and more time consuming. Any other thoughts or solutions. Thanks in Advance. Is it possible to alter a standard report without Developer Studio?

[I’m very new to IFS, so apologies in advance for incorrect terminology / an obvious question / etc.] My company are moving to IFS Cloud, and want to customise some of the standard report templates. From the docs and this post, it looks like the process for this is:Install Developer Studio, and link it our IFS instance via IFS Lifecycle Experience, Azure VPN etc. Use Developer Studio to download the .rdf and .xsd files for the report we want to customise. Install Report Designer and edit the report template, creating a new .rdl file. Upload the new .rdl file to IFS Cloud, and link it to the relevant processes.Is there another way to do this? E.g. is it possible to download the .rdf and .xsd files directly from IFS Cloud, and edit in Report Designer; or better still, clone an existing report template from within IFS Cloud and edit that directly? [And if not, is there anywhere I can vote for that functionality?!]

Shipment Management: Multi-leg Inbound Logistic - "Ship Goods and Assets" page

Hi,In this flow I’m getting below error “Sender and Receiver must be in the same site when demand code is Purchase Receipt.”… when I’m to move a qty in arrival location to another location…It is not allowed to enter the same site as the receiver even the error message suggest - understandably there is no place to enter location ID (for a movement within the same site ).So, if I’m not missing something, my assumptions are…movements can only be done within the same site Only from an Arrival location (may be non Picking) to a location in a remote warehouse cannot do movements within sites belongs to same company cannot do movements within sites belongs to different companies - obviously since Shipment Order is not supported Please share your thoughts. CRM Panel - Is it possible to automatically reverse the name format when creating a new customer contact via the panel

Currently, when an email is received, the format of the contact's name is as shown in the screenshot below - The original format in the received email, as seen in the above screenshot, is lastname,firstname. Panel creates the contact in the same name format - Is it possible for the name to be automatically formatted as FirstName.LastName in the panel without requiring the user to manually edit the first/last names in the panel? So that when they create a customer contact via the panel, the name format is correct.

Lead time calculation and calendar exceptions

We are using IFS 10 UPD 9, we have a scheduled job to daily run Manufacturing Lead Time Calculation. We are finding that it is very consistent from day to day unless the job runs on a day that is a calendar exception. If it runs on the exception day, it is increasing the lead time on parts by 1-25 days.Can anyone explain why this is happening and if there is a way to prevent this?

MWO Unable to quick issue parts

Hi Experts,I appreciate for your input on following issue.The Customer has a central site named “UK300” which is always the WO Site and does not hold stock. Stock will be held on sites “UK172”.Mobile user is connected to Parts in Site UK172. Warehouse and Assortments parts connected to the same Site. Work order is created for site UK300. (WO and object connected tosite UK300) When a Task is dispatched, the Technitian can see all task details and his stock in Mobile. Even he can see Material orders connected to Site UK172 created from back office. Problem is, user cannot see his stock in “Material Quick Issue” list in the mobile? This was possible in App9 but in app10 it isnt? What could be the reason here, what is missing in this setup? Thank you,KM

Affect Line Postings External Supplier Invoice

Hi, I have enabled ‘affect line postings’ on External Supplier Invoice on IFS Cloud, I am adding prepostings on Cost Cent, Project and Project Activity Sequence. When the invoice is created, in the posting proposals all the prepostings are getting copied except Project Activity Sequence. Is there some setup that I am missing? "Preview" of invoice doc on Instant Authorisation

The preview screen is working but for some users it is asking the user “Do you want to open or save this file”, but others it just automatically shows the pdf in the preview screen. How do you change this so it doesn’t prompt you to open or save the file before previewing the pdf file?Thank you
