We utilize Cloud 22R2 and we utilize logical printers for certain reports.  When we have these print jobs go to a few specific BizHub type printers the local printer is requiring the selection of paper size.  Is there a setting somewhere within the Cloud Logical Printer set up to select paper size to be letter?

Hi @ChrisWasch0331 ,

Where do you have your print agent installed and logical printer to physical printer mappings?

On the server where the print agent is installed you’d also have the printer drivers installed and you would configure the paper sizes through the properties of the printer.

Hi @ChrisWasch0331,

In the Print Agent, there is a file named ifs-printing.properties, where you can set the paper size. Please refer to the documentation here:

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r2/070_remote_deploy/400_installation_options/005_operational_reporting/020_install_print_agents/printing_properties/

Hope this helps!

Dear all

we can force page size, and then the printer does not complain, but it cuts parts of the page designs that print nicely on A4.

Interested in how this could be properly fixed.

Coming from Apps10 Java print Agent = no issues

Upgraded to Cloud 23R2 now with .Net = Letter does not print automatically as the printer thinks its A4.

Thanks

Dominik

@ChrisWasch0331

Did the accepted solution on this thread fix your issue? I’m experiencing this in 23R2. I changed my print agent .properties file to Letter hoping it would override what’s coming from IFS. I know my changes made a difference to the Print Agent’s behavior, because when I omitted the width and height, it would no longer print, and then when I added width and height, it started working again. However, it is not accepting this paper size as an override to the report layout. Documents are still printing on A4 paper, which causes them to get hung up at our printer.

Strangely, this report is still having this issue after I also set the layout to Letter from A4, so I’ve yet to find where this setting is coming from.
