Hi, I’m trying to set up use of Employee Cards to register employee attendance clockings in IFS 10 IEE via Time Clock. As an example, I’ve set up the employee/person with the Card No. below, and set up the card parameters to match (I think):

The time clock detail for the button is set to Card Driven Execution, but when I attempt to scan a barcode (with characters 0000001590) using a barcode reader after clicking “In”, nothing changes and the terminal still reads “Clock In: Swipe the Card.” However, if I use a standalone time clock client, I get an error saying “Employee    not a time clock user.” Scanning the barcode into a text document or other fields in IFS gives the expected result (0000001590).

Unfortunately, the debug menu shows nothing when I click the button or attempt to scan the barcode. Has anyone else encountered this behavior or a workaround for it?

Found the answer, turns out the user ID has to be the user that is logged into the time clock instance, not the employee trying to perform the clocking. Info was on the Shift+F1 tooltip but not on the actual help page for the window.
