How can I deliver the project demand without a CO?

Hi. I have a customer who want to start working with Project module (IFS 10), and I need to know how deliver parts without a Customer Orders,I mean, they only have the demand in the Demand tab of the Activity and when they purchase or manufacture the parts, how is the functionality to do the shipment?Thank you in advance.

MS Project Integration issues

Hello IFS Project specialists,I have a few issue with the MS Project integration, have you come across this please:"Fixed Duration" versus "Fixed Work": Need to check how we can make MSP to inherit the "Fixed Work" instead of "Fixed Duration" on the task lines when importing Project Data from IFS. Tasks in MSP inherit the “Fixed Duration” as the Task Type upon Importing Project from IFS. As a result, values in “Work” and “Duration” columns along with budget figures changes from the values that are in IFS. All tasks inherit “Manually Scheduled” instead of “Auto Scheduled” which again disrupts data in MSP side compared to IFS.Tasks in MSP inherit the “Manually Scheduled” upon Importing Project from IFS. As a result, values in “Work” and “Duration” columns along with budget figures changes from the values that are in IFS. Actual Work in MSP that was brought over from IFS shows actual work hours against future months where they should not have any actual work!ThanksSerge

Travel expenses costs

Hello, Does anyone know how we can track the costs of the travel expenses on the projects?Right now I can see only the used cost when the expense sheet was authorized. Creating Contract Change Order from Sales Contract doesn't get Project ID

We are seeing a problem where creating Contract Change Orders from a Sales Order is not populating the Project ID on the CCO, which means that the Forecast option isn’t available automatically. The workaround is to go to every CCO after creation and manually set the Project ID in the details, which obviously can lead to choosing the wrong project.We generate a lot of CCOs so this workaround is painful for our admins… is there something we need to adjust or do differently?In out production environment 22R1.8 the value passes in automatically but in validating Update 22R2.9 (from 22R1.8) we are seeing this problem.Any ideas if this is intentional and maybe something needs to be adjusted at the Project or Sales Contract level? APPS9 - The license for using IFS Application is invalid

Hello we have a service account that connect to IFS to retreive informations on regular basis many times per day in IFS, it was always working well but recently form time to time we get a message saying The license for using IFS Applications is invalidIFS Applications will be inaccessible in 72 hoursContact IFS to obtain a valid license. Our license is valid and it’s the only users who gets this error, any idea what can cause this issue ?

Project transaction approved by

Hi All,In my case, employees are reporting time against the projects and those time sheets authorized by their supervisors. When the time sheet is authorized by the supervisor, project transaction is checked as approved as below screenshot.Now I have a report requirement to provice project transaction details with approved users. Project Management (IFS Academy Course) - company does not have access

At the 20 minute mark of the lesson ‘Project Management – IFS Cloud – Day 01’, it says to create a new Project Program and then connect it to Company P10 but a toast error message is advising that the training user ID we have been given is not connected to Company P10. How can we give the training user ID access to the company P10?

Connect Project Activity to MRO Shop Order: Invoicing

Hello All, Regarding MRO Shop Orders in Cloud 23R1 that are connected to a Project Activity, I have the following questions on Invoicing and Revenue Recognition. This is in preparation for delivering some sessions next week on Project Connection to IFS partners in the MRO area - any help would be much appreciated ! Does the project activity collect the MRO sales lines or CAWO (Complex Assembly Work Order) sales lines? How can we observe Revenue collected on a project activity connected to shop order? How can we invoice the CAMRO customer using Project rather than CAWO (Complex Assembly Work Order) ? How can we see the Project Transactions for an activity that accumulates cost from Shop Order? When we search the Project Activity in "Project Transactions" page, no records are found to invoice When we try to perform invoicing through "Create Invoicing Plan" on Invoicing Plan page, the Report Code field is empty for the Project Activity. Why is this the case when Report Code is alread

I have found help text that says this is possible but am looking for some guidance on how to set this up. Stop completed contract change orders appear in new project forecasts

Is there a way in core functionality to have the completed Contract Change Orders be excluded from appearing in new Project Forecasts? Customer concern (APPS10):“When a contract change order is completed, we would no longer want to see the contract values in the new forecasts. For some reason, these old CCO's are still showing values in the forecast and are muddying to numbers in the forecast reports. Can you please inform us how we can overcome this issue?”

Error creating Activity "domain index is marked LOADING/FAILED/UNUSABLE"

My problem is similar to this one:Except that it happens when I try to created an Activity in the Project Navigator. If I try the steps described in the link above, it is still not working. I also tried these steps below - very similar - without success: I ran that query in Oracle SQL Developer to find the incorrect indexes and I have 3.select index_name,index_type,status,domidx_status,domidx_opstatus from user_indexes where index_type like '%DOMAIN%' and (domidx_status <> 'VALID' or domidx_opstatus <> 'VALID'); Following the two procedures above on all three incorrect indexes solved nothing. Project Invoice from Invoice Plan - what does selector for Ignore Customer's Credit Info validitations do

When creating a Project Invoice from an Invoice Plan in Cloud 23R1, there is a selector in dialogue box “Ignore Customers Credit Info validations”. Can anyone explain what this selector does? We are not seeing any difference with it selected or unselected. I have experimented with Customer Credit limit so it’s exceeded, and put the Customer on Credit Block. I see no difference in the users steps with this selected or unselected. I assume perhaps it is intended to auto-select the “Ignore Warning” option on the final dialogue box so user does not have select the pencil to go to edit mode, select Ignore Warning, select Done, then select Create Invoice. But that is not happening. Might this be a bug?First dialog box, with selector. Next dialogue box, where user can edit the line and select Ignore Warning to proceed with Invoice.

Schedule multiple projects in Gantt - calendar issue

Hi,I have an issue with scheduling projects in Gantt.My project calendar is 7:00-15:30 / 5 days a week.When I schedule one single project with lag hours project activities and lag hours in between are scheduled according calendar given on project.If I schedule 2 projects (multicompany) with the same calendar assigned suddenly lag hours are scheduled according 24/7 calendar instead of project calendar.If I have 34 lag hours in practice it means:When schedule singe project it gives 4 working days (34 hours / 8,5 hour a day) When schedule more than one project it gives 1,4 day (34 hours / 24 hours per day)Is there any way that system follows calendar given on project even if I schedule more than one project in Gantt?Best regards,Bernadeta

UNABLE TO RESTRICT TIME REPORTING BASED ON PROJECT ACCESS

Version:IFS Aurena Project access is enabled and a team is granted access to the project. But, access to particular subproject is ‘Excluded’ for the same team in ‘Access Definition’ tab in ‘Project setup parameters’ screen. Despite this, a user belonging to the same team is able to report time on an activity of excluded subproject. What could be the reason ? If the team does not have access to a subproject, isn’t time reporting restricted.

Resource crews

from relase 22R2 RESOURCE Crews were introduced for projects update. However is not very clear how to use them. I have createda resource group-crew type, and it is available ,to use in service, manufacture , maintenance and projects then created a crew with periods and members however when I want to use this crew in a project or WO/ routing I don’t have the option Project’s doesn’t seem to allow any resource different to person type WO only tools/ Equipment and person any idea how to allocate resource group type crew

Project Commissioning Material send to Customer

Community,Need a better solution for project materials that are going to be delivered and used for commissioning at customer site.currently, when parts are needed for commissioning at customer site, we usually add Misc Parts in Project/Demand tab, usually we put MRP as the supply option. when parts are available, inventory team will issue it to the Misc part line and manually ship it to the customer. But this solution does not transparent to our logistic team. there is no picking, delivery process visible to logistic team.is there any better solution available so as team could ship the material utilizing customer order? Thank you.
