New Project - Planned start and Planned finish

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Hello

Source project start 01/04/2025 and early finish 01/06/2025

With new project I use this existing project BUT with Planned start 01/04/2025 and PLANNED FINISH at 01/09/2025  using “Copy based on Early Start/ Early finish” the enterered planned finish 01/09/2025 is not taken into account and calculates 13/06/2025 17:00 as Planned Finish.

What is the process of this calculation ?

Hi @MCIPSTEV,

What does the Earliest Activity Start Date you set when creating the project? This date is the earliest activity start date in the target project. All the project activity dates copied from the source project, will be set relative to this date in the target project.

Hi,

I agree with the statement regarding the project activity dates. However, the planned finish date entered (01/09/2025) disappears in the created project and is not taken into account.

We need to ensure that the entered planned finish date is correctly set on the project. Additionally, we have added an action to set the planned finish date for all tasks to the entered planned finish date plus 90 days. This is necessary because once the planned finish date of a task has passed, it becomes impossible to create a purchase order for that task.
