Framework & Experience (Infrastructure, Cloud, Integration, Dev Tools)

We have a product deployed at the site of multiple customers and that application is using IFS 9/10 and the .NET Access Provider to connect to IFS. We have 2 customers that are still using IFS 9 and both have connection problems to IFS 9 since last night. There was no change to our product and both customers use different versions of our product anyway. Is there any changes done to IFS 9 like an update or an end-of-support date that happened recently? The error is (URL/username were edited):Cannot connect to IFS using URL 'http://ifsurl:60000/' and username 'IFSUSER'.Unexpected error while calling server method AccessPlsql/InvokeThe URI http://ifsurl:60000/main/compatibility/clientgateway cannot be found. Please contact your system administrator. The access to IFS 9 itself - using Entreprise Explorer and the same login information - is correct in both sites.

In the event that an 'optional' payload structure is utilized, and subsequently, any 'Mandatory' attributes are excluded from the payload, the framework currently does not generate any errors, allowing the payload to be passed into the function. As discussed with product experts, this behavior is a known limitation for structural attributes, even though it functions without issue for simple attributes.Requested Improvement: We need to address this issue to ensure consistency, ensuring that attributes in the REST API payload exhibit the same behavior, regardless of whether they are simple attributes or structure attributes.

GreetingsI have a scenario in which I would like to mark a customer's released order as delivered and perform some further tasks via BPM . I have created a Workflow BPM for this, after analyzing how the order is marked as delivered in IFS Cloud.Whether I manually run the BPM through inspection or execute the Workflow using a specific command, it results in a database issue.Any leads would be appreciated

How do I change the default File_Sender1 for a new supplier? I have two different Suppliers that I need their POs to use different out folders. Where do I map this change?

Hi,I’m trying to get row ids using an IFS REST call as below and not fetching values as expected in the workflow. When I run the Get sheets call in Postman I get results that show row ids. Many thanks for your inputs on this issue.Best regards,Uvini

Am I missing something?  Is it possible to just type in a Date Range in Cloud? The “between” .. is listed when I click the Help ‘?’ but when I type in the date range as below I get an “invalid format” message.  To be honest, being a bit ‘old school, if I know the two dates I don’t want to waste my time scrolling up and down through calendars to select start date finish dates, I just want to type in the dates  Thanks!

Dear community,my goal is to import information sources from IFS environment A to environment B.A standard functions doesn’t exist. However it should work via PL/SQL developer.Does anyone know the approach? Thank you

Is there a way to bypass the warning message coming from  Ifs.Fnd.ApplicationForms.Const.PM_DataSourceRefresh/ Ifs.Fnd.ApplicationForms.Const.PM_DataSourcePopulate/Ifs.Fnd.ApplicationForms.Const.PM_DataSourceClear in IEE client?

Hello, I am looking to hide query builder from my users, as we are running into issues where users are creating queries that are long running, or are incorrectly setup. It appears that the grant is included in FND_ENDUSER.My concern is that by disabling this may impact basic functionality. Is it possible to prevent users from building queries without preventing them from running canned quick reports or other items in IFS? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello.Today, we only have 1 contract we use for any shop order / selling documents / purchase documents and such.In our developements (events / CF read only type / schedule tasks / lobbys ), the most of the time, SQL queries don’t use the contract to filter data, but generally we only use the ORDER_NO field for selling and purchase documents, and ORDER_NO + RELEASE_NO + SEQUENCE_NO fields for shop orders. We have planed to create a new contract : what would be the consequences on our developements ? Would they need to be re-worked?

Hello , I would like to create a mailing list to send automatic emails. To do this I use the function below and here is the result, it doesn't work. Can you help me?  SELECT LISTAGG(Cf$_Email, ';') WITHIN GROUP (ORDER BY b.source_ref1) FROM customer_order_cfv a , SHIPMENT_LINE b where a.order_no= b.source_ref1 and b.shipment_id= :shipment_idFor information, it works in Apps10

Hello. On a CF, read only type, how can I get the user language?I have to display a message, the message is returned by a custom function.I thought to send the value of #USER_LANGUAGE# as a parameter, the variable can’t get the value, just the label.

I have logged into the IFS App 10 Aurena as user TEST and have extracted the underlying query which popuates the data in the ‘Time Authorization’ window (it populates the relevant data in the window). When running this query directly in the DB logged in as user TEST produces the error “ORA-01031: insufficient privileges”.The same error is observed when running the query in SQL Query Tool in IEE as user TEST.How can we resolve this issue?Note: We must run this query as user TEST. Further the TEST user has been provided the IFS_FULL permission set as well.

In the last few weeks we have had errors on our Print Agent. Print jobs error and we have to reboot the server to resolve the issues. We tried just restarting the Print agent service but that did not help. We also tried restarting IIS but that did not help. We are using Crystal web services and we are currently on IFS APPS10 UPD#11.Has anyone seen these errors before?

Hello, We are currently testing out 23R1 since we’ve had bad experiences with it and have received multiple reports from customers that the update has ruined their environments and taken them offline. One of these issues is page configurations and custom fields. In previous IFS Cloud versions, you could add custom fields to entities, then add those custom fields via page designer to pages. For some reason, our test 23R1 environment seems to have lost the ability to perform this action, however, existing custom fields added to page configurations have carried over and remain. How can we fix this? Why is IFS and their partners not letting customers know about this massive change???? We have requested documentation on these changes multiple times but received no responses from IFS contacts. Not a good look!

Hi everybody, to gain information about underlying structures in IFS is quiet simple! Just Debug or use systeminfos and - voilá - the view(name) is clear. But imagine you lay hands on a QuickReport with - let’s say - 3 Views and you want to go the other way. Is there an easy way to see where a structure (Oracle View) is used? There must be some connection because, if we enhance IFS with customized fields and use _CFT and _CFV structures instead the original structures, there must be a certain point where to tell IFS: “now use View X instead of Y” Looking forward to hear from you.   All the best.   Michael   PS: By the way: The navigation tree must be stored somewhere as well. So my idea is some sort of documentation like the following: Application Base Setup  ..    5. Sales        5.8. Invoicing        5.8.1. Customer Invoice                                    View: CUST_ORDER_INV_HEAD_UIV_ALL

Hello We have a handful of custom attributes on our BusinessOpportunity entity and we would like to show them on the Customer Order screen for an order that was created from a Business Opportunity. The process as i understand it to add those fields to the Customer Order page is: Add the BusinessOpportunity entity to the CustomerOrderHandling projection Create an entity Association and connect the parent/child relationship. Create the group of fields on the Customer Order and create a binding to connect the CustomerOrderSelector to the entity associationHowever, when I try to add the BusinessOpportunity entity to the CustomerOrderHandling projection, it doesn’t appear in the available entities. Which made me assume that the two entities are already connected by default, so I tried to add the custom fields to the layout and they are available. However they do not populate any data. My assumption is that this is because they are not being bound to the business opportunity, but I cant crea

Hi,Do the custom configurations upgrade automatically with a service upgrade? How do we identify the affected custom contexts after any service upgrade?  BR, Ushan

Hi All,How do we setup “Fire Before / After object is changed” setting in cloud environment when configuring a custom event? This setting is available in IFS 10. Thank YouManthi

Is there a method for us to directly grant all user privileges such as the project team, document class to which a user has been added and all the privileges to a newly opened user?

i want  ‘Create Pick List’ on the Quick Order Flow Handling Menu to be visible (or not visible) based on the value of a custom field held against the Customer. Is there a way to achieve this? Initially I was going to remove permission to it, and add in my own custom menu item which called the following code. IF (CUSTOMER_CREDIT_INFO_CFP.Get_Cf$_Credit_Block(objkey_) <> 'Yes') THEN   p1_ := Customer_Order_Transfer_API.Allowed_To_Send(ord_no_, 'ORDRSP');   Customer_Order_Flow_API.Check_All_License_Connected(p1_, ord_no_);   attr_ := 'START_EVENT70ORDER_NO' || ord_no_ || 'END';   Customer_Order_Flow_API.Start_Create_Pick_List__(attr_);   COMMIT; END IF;  These commands are shown in debug console when you create pick list from the QOFH screen, but don’t seem to work when i call them in a procedure. Appreciate any help with the code, or with applying criteria to menu items. TIA. Chris.

Hello :)I'm pretty new to this topic so please bear with me :)An external company that takes care of our system has introduced a new table to the database and asks you to test it. Hello,Apologies from the start as I'm very new to IFS. I’ve recently joined a company which hosts multiple IFS products in Azure. We have an issue with our Apps 10 instance and we are unable to load the admin console, all services appear to be running fine. We can login to Aurena and Enterprise explorer just fine as well. So I would like to run a reconfigure as we need to be able to access the admin console.Unfortunately the engineer who setup this Apps10 instance, left the company a week after I joined. We do not know the IFSSYS password, so I'm unable to run the reconfigure.Luckily I’ve been able to figure out the password for ifsapp, MWS_PWD and sysdba. I can also login to the oracle DB as sysdba. So I could run the below command and change the IFSSYS password on the DB and then try reconfigure, this seems like a very bad way of going about things. ALTER USER IFSSYS IDENTIFIED BY NewSuperStrongPassword; How would you go about solving this issue? For some perspective this is a test Ap
