Difference of Project Demand part and PMRP part

Hi Team,I have created a customer order with a line for inventory part. Then I created a Project from customer order and created a activity in the project and released it too.Then connected the activity to customer order line and ran PMRP. This creates a Project supply request and when I receive the PO, I do have a part to reserve to customer order line. Here there is no option to issue the part to Project. What is the reason for this ? Is this beacuse it was directly created without Project demand ? Now, If I create a Project demand for same part, create PR and then PO from that demand and receive the stock to business, It get reserve to Project demand line and I could issue it. Yet this part will not be available to resevrve to customer order line. what is the reason for this ? is there a reason to make this avilable for Customer order line reservation ?

How can I delete Work List on PM Action?

Hi,I use Work List page when I create Maintenance Plan on the PM Action page. When I create a work order in the maintenance plan, the rows I create in the Work List are reflected as a job task in the work order. But the work list in the work task of the work order I created for the previous maintenance plan is reflected in the work task of the work order of the subsequent maintenance plans. I want to delete the rows from the work list, but it does not allow me to delete these job lists because they are used in the work order. How can I follow a way?

Provide Sales Contract No in the Project Definition screen

Project Managers and Controllers need an easy way to access the Sales Contract directly from the Project definition screen. This would save time and improve accuracy. Without this link, finding and verifying sales contracts is slow and can cause frustration, lowering productivity. As the list of contracts grows, it will become even harder and more inconvenient to search for the linked sales contract. Right now, users have to filter and search through the list one by one, which is not convenient.

Unfinished Activity Work - Project Transaction

I get this message when I run Unfinished Activity Work: There is at least one Project Transaction which has not been completely invoiced or where Multi-Company Reporting Revenue voucher has not been created.It is about 6 months old, and I don’t know how to clear it. The Project Transaction is listed as Not Invoiceable.

IFS Projects - what is "role" and what is "access"

Hi , for IFS , there are 6 system defined Project Roles ,Project Manager Financially Responsible for a Project Sub Project Manager Financially Responsible per Sub Project Activity Responsible Financially Responsible per Activity OtherBut I cannot find any defination, any desribtion for each role’s permissions.like what can each role do and what cannot do. besides roles , there is another concept called “Project Access” ，with that , we can assign Team , Person to a sub-project .my question is So, if we assign sub-project access to person A , then what he is able to do?only report time?or he can made change to sub project ? eg:add activity, complete activity, complete sub-project(finical project) is there anyone can answer the question?

Client error when exporting to Excel with all rows and all columns in APP10 Aurena

When exporting selected records from Project Connection screen after waiting for few minutes giving an error.Steps to re-create the issue.1. Navigate to Project Management -->Analysis-->Project Connections2. Query for any project with high volume data3. Try to export all rows and all columns. I can see the solution (System parameter - EXCEL_EXTENSION_MODE) for IFS Cloud.Is there a solution available for IFS APP10 Aurena as well?

Phase In Date Question

Greetings! I am trying to add a part number in a certain configuration structure in IFS 10 but I keep getting this error, “Phase in Date of this component conflicts with parent revision date range.” The part number has a phase in date of 06/24/2024 and the phase in date of the configuration structure I want to put it in has a phase in date of 08/03/2023 and does not have a phase out date. Not sure why it won’t let me add the part number

PR Acknowledger for a Project

Hi All, Looking for your thoughts in here. My client wants to have an acknowledgement step to the project manager in the Purchase requisition.I have set up an “Authorization Routing Template” with a project role for PM and role as “Acknowledger”. Created PR authorization rule as below. This rule is only applicable to Project connected PR s only. Rule will trigger for the PR s between GBP 11-250. I set up the PM in the Purchase authorization basic data window as an Acknowledger as well. But when I create a PR with a project connection ( which include the Project manager), and when I try to release the PR it gives me below error. Interesting thing is, when I change the “Authorization Role” to Authorizer in the Approval routing template as an Authorizer and then change the purchase authorizer basic data PM to Authorizer, PR is taking the correct authorization step. BUT this time its an Authorization instead of Acknowledgement. Could this be a bug? Or did I miss something.Any help is hi

Changing the Activity Sequence gives the error "Activity cannot be changed after a requisition is created"

Hello IFS SpecialistsOne of our project controllers tried to change the activity sequence in the demand line because he had initially created the project supply request in the wrong activity. The requisition is still in the planned state. So in my opinion, he should be able to change the activity in IFS for the requestion as shown [My testing doesn't recreate the error so far] but getting the shown error. He could use a workaround like deleting the requisition and proceed. But I am wondering why this way isn't working. The screenshot is from an IFS Ref environment [24.1.3] Thanks,Asela

Sales Contract Line Deletion

Our customer wants to delete a sales contract line that has items associated with it. However, even after deleting the items connected to the line, the contract line cannot be deleted. Do you have any suggestions for how to proceed with this activity in APPS 10?

Why is it needed to perform a refresh of project connections

Dear all,Does anyone know in which scenarios it is necessary to perform a refresh of project connections? I have a customer who occasionally experiences issues that are resolved with such a refresh, but this occurs very rarely. Project Invoice Create Correction Invoice - Identical tax code error

Line number in Sales Contract skips numbers - fix?

The line number within Sales Contract is a sequence. So, if you start off with lines 1, 2, and 3 and you make a change and delete line 2, you end up with lines 1 and 3. In reality for the sales contract is only for these two lines, the old line 2 is no longer relevant for this newer revision. Our customer is not happy with this. Has anyone else had customers who did not like this numbering convention or perhaps have found a way around this phenomenon?Thank youPatrick

Cannot re-connect a Project to a Sales Contract (which is already connected to a 'Cancelled' Sales Contract)

Hello Folks,I have run in to an issue (in IFS Cloud 23R1) with connecting a Project to a Sales Contract, where system returns an error indicating that this Project is already connected to a different Sales Contract. Which is true as I have already connected this Project to a Sales Contract that is sitting in ‘Cancelled’ status.Moreover, I have the “PUB(Project Unique Billing Toggle)” turned ON in the Project Setup Parameters for this Project.I tried to remove the Project connection from the ‘Cancelled’ sales contract but system throws in an error preventing me from doing that. Thereafter I toggled off the “PUB(Project Unique Billing Toggle)” since ideally that should take out any restrictions on one Project can go on one sales contract validation. Then I created a brand new Sales Contract (3rd one, 1st once is already “Cancelled”, 2nd one “Proj. connection failed” with an error as seen on first screenshot) since I thought 2nd Sales Contract was created while I had the “PUB(Project

User permission when creating a Shop Order from Shop Order Requisition

We have an access permission problem when converting a “Shop Order Requisition” to a “Shop Order” via the function “Create Shop Order(s)”. Normally we can quickly find the missing projection by using the log window in debug mode.But in this case, the log does not show any missing projection in the log files (The projection “ShopOrderRequisitionHandling” is already fully granted). What could be the reason for this and how can we find the missing projection(s)?

Sales Contract Planned Revenue Issue

Dear Colleagues,I encountered an issue with Sales Contract reporting Planned Revenue. There are 4 contracts and only one does not report Planned Revenue. The settings are the same - posting rules, Revenue Codes, definiton of items, etc. TEST is the last one which I created from the scratch with the same settings as W-0002. The prerequistions for reporting Planned Revenue seem to be fullfilled: Any ideas for further checking are very welcome :)Thanks in advance.

Change management can be achieved with SoW Production, however, this does not allow you to update the Sales Contract by Contract Item.

Schedule of work estimate change management - We would like to use SoWE for change management as this requires a greater level of detail than that in the Sales Contract. The customer has a very specific need for presenting invoices which does not align with the detail in the SoWE. I am aware that change management can be achieved with SoW Production, however, this does not allow you to update the Sales Contract by Contract Item. It seems that at this point, it can only be done if the Sales Contract is set to ‘Contract Change Order Change Capturing Level = Cost or Revenue Element’Could anyone explain this behavior?

Functionality of the toggle 'update without project activity' in schedule of work estimate

We are generating a Sales Contract to enable AFP. We then link that Sales Contract to a Project and in turn generate a Schedule of Work Estimate (SoWE) from the project to allow us to build out the estimate. Having built out the estimate, we connect to the Sales Contract and send over the data from the SoWE based on Revenue Sub Project lines. So far, all good. The Sales Contract Revision and Items contain the data based on what was sent over from the SoWE. However, when we select items within the lines and choose the button option ‘Activities’, there are none showing. The Customer would have expected to see the connections as when passing over from the SoWE, there is an option that says ‘Update Without Project Activities’ and we do NOT activate that. Instead, we find ourselves having to make the connection manually. Is there a way to connect them automatically? What is the function of that toggle?
