Default Planned Cost driver and Progress method are both set to Connected objects.
This settings are rarely in use for estimates and progress in our company…. and our users often forget to change them… this creates a problem when you set your baseline, since it does not fetch our estimates, but try to find amounts from Connected objects.
So,
-how to change default Planned cost driver and Progress method?
That would help our endusers a lot!

We faced the same challenge. users forgot to update the activity planned cost driver to ‘manual’.
We used the page designer editor and set the Planned Cost Driver field ‘default value’ from there to manual. So whenever someone creates a new activity the planned cost driver field fetches the default value. Of course the user can still change the default value to something else.

There is an Object Property for Progress Method. I don’t think there is one for Planned Cost Driver.
