There are major issues regarding performance when working in the Project Gantt chart. Even a small WBS will be a challenge and for example creating activities and creating/adjusting dependencies can take minutes.

I know this has been a challenge for several years and there are a few topics on the matter.

Can we expect any improvements in the near future regarding this issues?

Running on 23R2.

I’m seeing that as I work in 23R2.  It is not good at all.  Deleting a dependency also takes an unacceptably long time.  It appears that the time is being spent to update the Gantt with the dependency arrows with every move.

RnD, where are you on this?

Hello,

Can we expect any improvements on this?

The Gantt chart is still pretty useless for even small WBS structures.

Excited to bring you news of a major performance enhancement to Project Gantt.
Data loading is now significantly faster with a new loading mechanism, and this  is available in  25R2 General Availability (GA) Release.

This enhancement is the result of a collaborative effort between our Framework and Projects teams in RnD and is designed to make project planning smoother and more efficient.

For more details, check out the Projects News in 25R2.
