Hello,  Is it possible for me to save my email somewhere so that it comes up automatically in a report output dialog box each time without me entering it? we have out email field and directory ID as email.  This is APPS10  

Is it possible to add documents to a shipment?I am attempting to link Customer Orders to their respective shipments, so I can have documents on the Customer Orders be available for printing when shipments print their delivery notes.I have looked into Object Connection Transformations, but the connections available do not seem to work properly. Hello,I am attempting to access attachments for shipments (I added the ability to store attachments on shipments, and for shipments to pull attachments from Customer Orders that have attachments as well). What would be the best process for accessing these attachments? An API call via a workflow, or a reporting rule?I have tried accessing them via a workflow that utilizes the api call “GetFileExtList(DocType):String” but handling the output is something I’m not familiar with as the documentation does not cover this scenario. I have looked into reporting rules but I am not sure if it’s possible to print attachments automatically when the report “shipment delivery note” is printed.Any insight would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Bryan

Looking for information to get multiple views created for reporting. Not ll views contains data need/wanted to  create the report. We were advised this is a major task to set two views to be available in one report. Thanks,Tim McWade

Hello,I am not familiar with how IFS handles documents, but I am attempting to create a workflow and custom event/action to pull documents with the class code of 140/150 from a customer order to the shipment for that customer order.I also plan on creating another custom event/action to print that transferred document at the time when the delivery note is printed.I know how to create custom events/actions and workflows, but I’ve never interacted with documents before. Any advise on how to accomplish this or any direction would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Bryan

When i view a PDF in Aurena using the eye icon, the digital signatures in the pdf are not visible.  I can see then when i download and open the file. Is this an Aurena limitation or a browser problem? 

When a user attaches a document to a manual supplier invoice the document is available to view from the GL Voucher Rows or GL Voucher Row Analysis screens.  I believe this is related to the fact that  on the document revision screen, Object tab the Gen Led Voucher Row and Ledger Items are included.  Where is this configured so I can get the documents that are attached to mixed payments and/or cash boxes copied to these GL objects like the AP Invoice documents?

Attachments/Document object connections do not show in Aurena - but it works fine in IEE client In IEE client you can see the document attachments, but in Aurena, you get an error: ( for end users)“No Access. Your system administrator has not granted permission to complete that action. Failed to load attachments. “ This happens because you need to grant the DocumentHome projection access to the permission set connected to the user(s). Also remember to refresh security cache and the Aurena browser after this is done. 

Hi Members,Within Aurena Applications, there is a feature available that allows users to attach a URL to an event of the action type "Email" as shown in the attachment.Does the 22R2 version has the capability to include a URL in email notifications?I'm thankful for the member's assistance in advance.😀CheersNagaraj Kotakonda

Hi, I have a reference to the Technical drawing on my master part, using the “Technical Drawing” field in the main tab.I would like to display this drawing on the shop floor workbench. If they make this specific part, the drawing should be visible in the workbench. Does anyone know how?I can make attachments visible using Object connection transformations, but I can’t figure out how to do it for the technical drawing.The drawing itself is an attachment in the screen “technical drawing” Wouldn’t this one do the trick: Should I add more parameters?

What is this about?This post is to inform everyone using or planning to use Instant View that it has NOT been certified against Windows 11.The problem: support for Java applets is dyingThe underlying technology used by Instant View is Oracle AutoVue. This technology is based on Java applets running on the end user's PC, communicating with the AutoVue Server software.In order to use Java applets and interact with the Oracle AutoVue document viewer, IFS has embedded Internet Explorer inside IFS Enterprise Explorer, via .NET's WebBrowser Control.In Windows 11, since Internet Explorer has been removed, it's not possible to do certain configuration that's needed to get Java applets to work.The end result is that we haven't been able to certify Instant View for use with Windows 11. 

Hello, There are many systems-generated files in a directory on the network.I am able to upload them with app messages (using blob data) as media_item. So how do you think I would upload it to an ftp directory connected to the document management system?

We use IFS Apps10 Updt 13Hello everybody When using IFS Macros in DocMan, we repeatedly find that individual images embedded in MSWord are not displayed. If the IFS macros are not executed, the images appear without any problems.Our analysis has shown that the problem can be solved with an adjustment in the Macor block "IFS_02_01_MSOFFICE_WORD_EDIT".As soon as the part -----FOR EACH OSHP IN O_APP.ACTIVEDOCUMENT.SHAPES IF OSHP.TYPE = 17 THEN    O_APP.ACTIVEDOCUMENT.SHAPES(OSHP.NAME).TEXTFRAME.TEXTRANGE.FIELDS.UPDATE  END IFNEXT------is commented out, the images are displayed without any problems.So far, so good. Our question now is, what side effects can it have if we leave the said code part commented out?Thanks for an estimation.Peter 

Are there any plans to support FTPS in Docman?Our company is very keen on having secure traffic to the ftp-server and do not want to have un-encrypted connection to it, not even from the application server to the ftp-server.

Dear community,I’d like to know, if in DMS, we can manage different languages for the same doc_class / doc_no / doc_rev / doc_sheet ?Our need is to have one document available in many languages.I know that for the doc templates, we can have a different template based on the language and so, I thought that we could have such a flexibility behind a document revision…We are using the version 8 but migrating to Cloud 22R2Thanks for your help

Version 22.1.1Is there any method to connect multiple existing document revisions to one business object at the same time?Example: At the Change Request, using the Attach Existing command, can a User find and select multiple records? Or is this a one-by-one process?

Hi  On Document Class Management there are Document Default Values that list “Create New Document Wizard”  as one of the options.Does anyone know how you create a new Wizard so some of the Description Fields can be filed in when a certain Doc Class file is attached.  ThanksMark

We have a customer who are upgrading from IFS APPS 8  to IFS Cloud and would like to move their Documents (2TB worth of data) from their external storage into the IFS Cloud FS.The challenge for us is how do we make these documents accessible to MPX in IFS Cloud (Application) where the documents are stored in Azure BLOBS that are only accessible via the application with no direct access routes.  We need an effective way of migrating/importing the documents from the FTP into the storage ( via the application) or any other way. This is critical to the upgrade so will need to be done. After investigating and checking other community posts , we’ve received the following suggestion, which answers how to migrate the Documents but would not be acceptable to the customer given the size of the DB. We have a migration tool for copying data from an Apps 8/9/10 database to IFS Cloud File Storage ("FS"). We’re currently upgrading, and for DocMan, we’d like to move away from FTP and start using SMB. Our new application on version 22R1SU3 isn’t working with DocMan over a UNC share. We’re a Windows shop, and we have our Linux middleware segregated off into its own network so we can properly treat it like a black box. What port do we need to open for the middleware to talk to the file server? Is it enough to just open 445? I used telnet to confirm the middleware host can see port 445 on the file server. Can I do any further checking to see if the containers can see the port? From EDM Basic, I tried the hostname and the IP address, and neither worked, but nevertheless, is there a way to confirm DNS is working? I would much prefer to use human-readable hostnames. For a UNC path, can you confirm which //direction \\the //slashes \\ought //to \\go? The username is on our domain. What should the format look like, e.g. acme
