I want to register a record with LU name "*" and service list "FndNoteBook^" in the Object Connection screen.
However, when I try to register it on the screen, the error message ""*" is a logical unit that does not exist. is displayed.
Is this record with LU name "*" automatically registered by some trigger?
If so, what is the trigger?
(in version IFS10)

Do you have reason to believe that * should work as LU Name?

We honestly see no reason at this time.
It is possible that this setup is done in our current environment and is unnecessary.
However, it is very likely that none of our members have set this up, and I just wanted to post to confirm the possibility that it is being set up automatically by triggering some action on the IFS side.

Perhaps it was added before we had a validation in place, I cannot say. It might have been a useful feature in a rare cases, but mostly I think the current limitation is a good thing.
