Hi all,I’ve hit a snag while configuring document access in IFS Applications and would appreciate some clarity from the community.Scenario: I’ve set up two access groups via access templates: one for Read and another for Write. Users in the Read group can see documents as expected. However, these same users are able to detach documents—both those they’ve created and those created by others. My understanding is that ‘Read’ access should prevent any action beyond viewing, so detaching feels like a breach of the intended restrictions. Hello, I would like to ask, how to setup few restriction to users with View access in certain Document class. I have user IC.TEST that have View Access to bellow document but he is able to do several strange actions to the document that should not be allowed.Could you please check and advice how to not allow mentioned actions bellow:Generated Access ResultsIs it possible to restrict edit, delete and unlock options for object connections in tab Objects in Document revision for users that have granted View access through certain Document Class ? IFS Environment: Apps 10 UPD14.I created a Boomi process that uploads a file into the document attachment section in IFS.This was done using the Boomi HTTP Client connector using method PATCH.  I was wondering if this could also be done using the Boomi IFS Aurean connector?Projection: CreateAndImportDocument Object: EdmFileSet

In 25R1, has anyone used the Document Macros functionality to extract a media image from an object in IFS and insert it into a Word document? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on whether this is feasible.

From what I have read, when a Document Structure is Released with Released Documents in the Consists of Tab, the Structure Documents are Locked.  To Revise a document in the Consists of tab and Replace the previous Revision, the Parent Document Revision needs to be Revised.    When creating a New Revision, there is a statement saying You cannot replace a revision on a parent that is Released or Approved.  There is a statement saying You can always replace the revision later (manually) if you change your mind.  Is this statement in regard to the previous statement regarding replacing a revision on a Parent that is Released or Approved?Once the new subdocument is Released, On the Parent Document, on the Consists of Tab, there is an option to Replace Revision and you can replace a sub document on a Released Revision.  

Hi,Below is an issue raised by a customer,“Document Revision is NOT created and attached to ProjectInvoice object when using the “.rep” layout in Report Rule.”They need documents (pdf)  that will be produced from an operational report and attached to ProjectInvoice object and would like to use Report Rule to set this up.A Report Rule was created for the original PROJECT_INVOICE_REP with some hardcoded values for testing.When testing the print job functionality for the report_id_ := ‘PROJECT_INVOICE_REP’ and layout_name_ := 'ProjectInvoiceRep.rdl', the result pdf is visible in Report Archive, the document is created and attached to the ProjectInvoice object, so the Report Rule works fine.However, Document Revision is NOT created and attached to ProjectInvoice object when using the “.rep

Hi,I have two questions regarding Transmittals in Document Management in IFS Cloud:1. Email recipients not added automaticallyWhen sending transmittals by email, the generated Outlook email does not automatically include the customer/supplier as recipients.I believe that email addresses have been entered in all relevant places (customer and contact person).If there is a specific location or setup where the email address must be defined for it to be picked up in the transmittal, please let me know so I can correct it if needed. 😊2. Handling larger transmittalsI am currently evaluating solutions for larger transmittals.The customer can send/receive up to 150 MB, but typical email setups are limited to around 35 MB.Therefore, we need another solution than email for sending larger document packages.What are the recommended approaches in IFS Cloud for handling large transmittals?

In 25R1, I am trying to add a comment to an Outwards Transmittal. I cannot figure out how to do this, The Steps I followed are :1.Create Document Transmittal 2.Connected to a Project3.Entered Expected Send Date and Expected Latest comment days as today4.Connected Report to Transmittal5.In the Files to download section , Original and Comment files were enabled6.Added Documents to the Transmittal7.Documents were Quick Released8.Changed the Status of the Transmittal to Sent9.Added Acknowledgment10.Status was changed to Acknowledgement Received11.??? Need to add Comment - NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS ?  

I have provided access to view documents of particular document class in IFS. Still users are able to attach the document in IFS for that document class.

We are encountering the error "Internal error. Invalid server response, expected JSON" when attempting to check-in documents larger than 300 MB in Documents Revision. We are currently using IFS Cloud 23R1 SU14.  

Hi, I want to hide the Corrective and Preventive Actions section only for some users. I could not find any permission set that can be used to hide this.

Hi All,I noticed when running tests that there is a discrepancy in IFS Cloud when it comes to creating a new Document from a Document File Template.According to IFS Cloud Documentation, anyone who wants to use a template requires view access to the Document Revision acting as the Template.This holds true for the page New Document from Template, where I can only see the templates that I have access to. However, it is not true when I try to initiate the same action via Attachments - New Document from Template on any business object, like a Document Folder or Work Task.In these cases, I have the full range of templates visible and can move on to naming the Document. However, when I try to finalize, I finally get the error message.This is very confusing and will likely impact how well the module is received by new users attempting this.Is there anything that can be done so that creating from a template through attachments hides una

There is no field to set Doc_Class. The customer wants to direct his share-point documents to IFS application through an BIZAPI integration (using an XML file). Like we can attach oracle path/local documents by just giving the file path (eg: C:/IFS/PROD/PDM/ABCDE123.pdf) through an object property , is there any method we can use in this scenario to attach those share-point documents? If there’s no any way, what is the best approach we can give to the customer as a solution?

Can a timestamp be added to the distribution history to see when someone has clicked 'Read'? Is there any other way to know when they click 'Read'?

How can we distribute the same documents to another user? If we duplicate them, do we need to change the user ID in each document? Is there any way to do this quickly? For example, if there are 50 documents, we would have to change the user ID 50 times.
