Buying (Procurement, Demand Planner, ASC, SRM)

I am just wondering if there is anything in IFS for handling a concession request from a supplier? I’ll give a typical example, supplier A says they machined quantity 1 of 3 components 0.05 mm too small and ask us can we accept. We review and say yes. We need to document this concession IFS so when the component arrives, the inspector is aware of the concession. If the inspector is not aware of it, he will only create a MRB unnecessarily.

Is there anywhere in IFS that displays what the rolled up assembly time is? The sum of all the assembly time for the subs required to make the final assembly. We know that the cost is rolled but where is the time rolled up at?

Hi!A user has created some Distribution Orders, without defining the inter-site Message Setup for internal supplier and internal customer. Due to this, Sender ID in PO Receipt is missing. Now, when user is trying to Register Inspection Results > he/she receives the error, This error is triggered because ‘Sender ID’ is missing. New DO > Receipts are working fine because we have defined Message Defaults and Sender ID is in place. But there are some old Receipts created without Sender ID due to above said issue, and needs to be inspected.Is there anyway which we can update the Sender ID or take a workaround instead of going for a data repair? Running Apps 10 update 10.  The Demand Planner Server is connected to the client.  Data able to be transferred back and forth.The historical demand for a forecast part is not being copied to the client or added to the Forecast Part Historical data tab.I believe I am using the right flow and the historical data is added to the basic data table.I am setting the Aggregation Type to Recalculate historic demand on the Forecast part.Then run the Qualify Part Job.  It set the Aggregation Type back to Incremental after the job runs, but no historical data added. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks… DR

I need to get a list of Suppliers with the following ColumnsSupplier ID Supplier Name Del Terms Del Terms Location If I go with the query builder, can you help with the SQL Query I should write? Or is there a IFS window I can get the excel output directly? I couldn’t find one. 

Our operations team does not want to inventory their parts but want to be able to generate labels from IFS. I believe this is only possible if the parts are inventoried (bar code labels) but I wanted to double check before I said anything. Thank you.

We are running Apps10 UPD8.  I’m looking for a way to correct a user error on a Purchase Order. We issues a purchase order to a supplier (qty 1500) that included 7 components shipped on a customer order (using components for Purchase Order).  They made a mistake and did an RMA for qty 13 on 1 component.  The supplier actually received 1500 and built 1500 for us.Now we are trying to receive the PO.  IFS will only let us receive 1487 because it thinks the vendor only has enough components to build 1487.We are trying to figure out how to correct this.  Any ideas?

How can it possible? Why the state is null? Because of that, I could not change to released to planned. Have you ever seen that error? And how can I solve it? I don't think changing the table manually is not a good idea.

All the APP 9 customers should use oracle 12.1 clients for their configurations App10 Customers on or under UPD6 need to use 12.1 clients.Therefore in general oracle client, 12.2 is not supported by any IFS installations which are on or below APP10 UPD6From UPD7 onwards the DP is compatible with the oracle 12.2 clients.The below table elaborates an overview.IFS supported platforms documentation for APP9 and below APP10 UPD7 customers 

Setting up the process of directly e-mailing suppliers their Purchase Orders.    Can this be done in bulk or does it need to be indivuudally per PO. I can only see the e-mail order on RMB menu when in each PO and not on multiple screen?

Semi new to IFS and I have been tasked to track Demand Requisitions from date created through authorization to PO.   Looking to track how long it takes for folks to authorize requisitions basically.  In the past they have been ‘sat on’ and never flowed through the system quickly enough. Can anyone assist with a query that will show me created date, ALL who are required to authorize and the date this was done to PO?   Appreciate any help. 

Hi!I have noticed in some instances that, when we execute Transfer Inventory Transactions job for a site, some transactions created during the same day does not get transferred.I know this is not any issue but the system behavior due to some reasons, which I am not really clear of.In the technical aspect I have heard this is caused due to truncating dates when the job is executed. And in the functional aspect, I think this has some reason with deciding the actual costs for the day before they are being transferred. Please help to clarify this.Thanks! 

Supplier is sending us VAT only invoices.  Is there a way of raising a VAT only PO or is it easier to directly code the invoice?

When changing the price on a customer order line that is set for Staged Billing you will get an Information message to verify that the stages are at 100 percent. If you add or remove sales tax you do not get the same Information Message.  Is this the intended behavior of the system NOT to show an Information message when Sales Tax is added or removed from a customer order line set for Staged Billings, or is this a bug?

Hello,We’ve had an issue a few times now where the original customer order for a part was canceled , but no and since it was not informed, so the product was still reserved and shipped. There is no IFS stop on it until they go to deliver the order on the ‘Register Direct Delivery’ page, that there is an error.Can we automate the process of when an order line gets cancelled  it also is cancelled on any connected purchase orders and customer orders? This process update would be specific to the intercompany orders between the two sites and the that sourcing option of primary supplier internal direct. 

We have recently upgraded from IFS8 to IFS10 and use purchase requisition authorisation. When we were on IFS8, if a purchase req had no supplier it was not possible to authorise it. An error message stating “Authorization denied - Supplier has to be specified”.  We have set up IFS10 the same way but now IFS will allow us to authorize the req.  There are no custom events creating this message, so I think this is a standard message.  Has the standard functionality changed in this area or is there a way I can setup IFS10 to work the same way, or would it need a custom event?  

Is there a way to configure to send Outgoing Supplier Invoices automatically to an e-mail address/supplier when they have been printed? We are currently sending them manually after printing.
