I have two questions in regards to scheduling direction:How/where do you set the default for the scheduling direction on a shop order - ours currently defaults to BACKWARDS? Can the Earliest Start Date be defaulted? Currently we experience the earliest start date always being the day the shop order is created. We want to have this be the Need Date minus the cycle time from the routing. Thanks!
We received a customer-owned PO P181440 into U-08-03 a few days ago. There was no movement on the product, and now we are attempting to complete the PO return to pull it from stock. We’re receivingthe below error. Not sure what information we’re missing to pull this out. Location U-08-03 does not exist We have also received this error when processing RMA warranty back to factory as well
I am working in Work Order and have noticed that if I create a Purchase Requisition for an Inventory item the quantity issued after the po is received isn’t the quantity required. Eg. Add Part number to Requisition tab of Work Order. Quantity required = 25, quantity on hand = 4/ Material line is created for 25.On Requisitions tab, RMB and select ‘Requisition to Order”PO is created, approved and releasedRegister arrival = 25A few minutes later, on the Material tab, the Quantity Issued changes to 5 even thought the Quantity on Hand = 24. There are 20 reserved, but I will have to manually issue the 20 in order for my Material Req line to show Quantity Issued = 25.
We are using IFS Apps 10 U8. When registering inspection results in the purchase order receipt, I receive an error message stating the supplier default delivery address had not been specified in the Supplier Address Info. We found that the delivery address had not been filled in on the purchase order part order lines. This is preventing us from returning the PO.Is there a way to register the inspection results when the delivery address is not filled in on the part order lines?
Hi all, We have a purchase req that was raised off a project and authorised, however the req is no longer required so we have got it back to planned status but when we go to the project to cancel the supply request the req is not showing in the demand tab. It is showing in the Supply and Connections but I cannot cancel the request. Subesquently the project activity has now been cancelled so I can no longer push the req through to order with a zero balance. Can anyone advise on how I can get rid of this purchase requisition?
I want to stock parts in EA UoM but only buy and sell in pack quantities. (2, 10, 25 No. etc). I am not running MRP or using Create Order Proposal as this is being handled by an external demand management system. Can I achieve this by using Purchasing and Pricing UoM and if so, how would I set this up to force buying in pack quantities of 10 ? At the moment I get an Information message if the quantity is less than the minimum quantity I have set up on the Supplier for Purchase Part record but not if the order quantity is over this amount.
Is it possible to decide what columns that are shown in the top dropdown if you have multiple entrys (in this specific case multiple invoices in Posting proposals)? I would like to have PO Ref as one of the columns when i press the drop down arrow so that it is easier for me do find the correct invoice. So it would be Supplier, Name, Series ID, Invoice Identity and PO Ref. Thanks in advance!
Is there an accurate way to tell the on hand inventory for a certain day?
Can the Part Description be added to the header of a Purchase Requisition on a specific Requisitioner? I am trying to eliminate having to go back and fourth through all of my requisitions to see what equipment is on all of them. It would be nice if the part description shows up on my Purchase Requisitions module so I can see easily what item is on that Req.
Hi, In IFS10, it’s easy to change the ownership from customer owned to company owned. However, the other way around is not. I want to change the ownership of an inventory part from Company Owned to Customer owned. Does anyone have a good process for this? I can imagine we first make a CO to sell it and then a PO to bring it in as customer owned, but that seems a lot of work?
Does anyone know how this field gets populated? Most of our orders have this blank, but some are coming up with MAINT, which causes us an issue. Thanks for your help.Mike
Hi Community,In IFS Apps 8, what is the best method to block access for group buyer/user from performing the PO closing functionality. If setting by permission set, which are the specific object and set type need to revoke?Noticed in current setting under buyer have permission set grant structure as example below:DIS_PUR (Functional Role) and DIS_PUR_MGR1 (End User Role)Please advise. Purchase Order Trans supply code on CO should normally mean manual purchasing. Yet when CO is not released yet (thus purchase requisition not yet generated), the lines are fetched by PMRP system. Is that normal functionality because to me it sounds as a bug in the system? Thank you in advance for any feedback. Regards
Hi all, Can we remove the posting type M277 from the system if the client doesn't want additional entries recorded in the book keeping process?
This error in Aurena dashboard is commonly seen for customers who have applied APP10 UPD7 and it is becaused of a bug in the UPD7 DEMAND component. This has been fixed in UPD 8 but customers can use below workaround untill UPD8 is get delivered. Small configuration change(Demand Server-> File->Setup-> General->select Forecast & IPR; Then restart the demand plan server).
Open DP client > View > Uncheck Detail View, Forecast Comment, Querry. Open Forecast graph and maximize its size. Then close the DP client a log again. Open forecast graph. It will show without any issue. Close the DP client again and log again. Client will not open as it is crashed. This has been fixed in APP10 UPD 4 onwards. For any issues reported below UPD4, below workaround can be used. Go to regedit, HKEY _CURRENT_USER>SOFTWARE>IFS>Demand Client and delete that. Open the Demand Planner client again with settings again. Then DP client will be open without any issue once the registries are deleted.
Hi all, need your help with solution design ideas.Current business process is:Purchase requisition for a part is created on a Site and Released. Users start sourcing, but can ask different suppliers to quote deliveries of that part to other sites. Best offer is chosen with delivery to the site from quotation PO flow is createdRFQ can have only one site on the header and delivery address. What would be your idea for such sourcing solution?Create several Requests disconnected from PR and link them with custom field?Run RFQ site-by-site?Change business process?A bit puzzled here.Thank you!
IFS10 upd6 The customer has project connected non-inventory purchase order lines that should not be matched due to bad references on invoice etc the cost has already been booked, they then manually close the PO stating nothing more will be invoiced. When running the unfinished activity works the customer gets “Some object is reporting committed cost to the activity. Analyze which object that reports committed cost.”Since the company is setup to not create postings for receipts of non-inventory part the committed cost will stay as committed on the project until the PO is matched to an invoice or the project connection is removed as I understand it.Some order lines have been partly match so the arrival cannot be cancelled, is there an easy way to be able to close the project/activity?(I guess after creating a dummy invoice (0,10 SEK) and match the PO and book a minus cost with the same project code string the activity could be closed but the would be a very cumbersome process since the c
Hi Team, I am trying to create following scenario in IFS: Site A Releases Customer order and the set up automatically created a PO for Site B.butIntersite CO doesn't get created for for site B Do I need to enable some setting which will create intersite CO for site B ? Please let me know. Thank you.
Using Apps10. We are using a PO to receive returns from customers because we need to have the parts be customer owned. If we use an RMA the ownership changes to Company Owned. We would like to reserve the serial number to the PO line when the PO is created. When we try to do that we get the message that the serial number is already used by this part. However, when we do a Receive with Serial Numbers we are allowed to enter an existing serial number. It seems that if we can receive an existing SN we should be able to reserve an existing SN. Does anyone know if there is a way to reserve existing serial numbers to a PO?
Hi All, Using IFS10, UPD7 (on verge of changing to UPD9) We are using shipments to deliver shipments and Order Flow settings are set to create the Customer invoice automatically. Shipments are done between two sites, belonging to two different companies. The problem that we are facing, is that (to us) randomly Collective Customer Invoices are generated and for other orders nothing is generated. For those where nothing is generated, we can manually create a Customer Invoice. We did change settings on the Customer to allow Collective Invoices, but this is not changing anything. Same with changing it to manual creation of Invoices. (E.G. stop the flow before the Invoice is created)When we look in the PL/SQL developer, we actually can see that a preliminary invoice get created, but the actual invoice is not generated. Anyone has faced a similar issue and can assist on where to look? Thanks.Arend
Customer open Apps7.5, the buttons that normally appear on the top-right of the page are missing. The buttons include populate, search, save, etc.Is there a way to fix this?
Hi Everyone,User who has permission to access only one company can create a deals per part record where “base price site” is not included under assigned company. Based on the user permission, should this be not allowed? Please explain.
In App-9, Is there any way to define the alternate of an inventory part’s product structure while performing the MRP/MS?
Other MRP systems use 2way matching for Services instead of 3way - so a receipt is not required for Service invoices to pay, just the requisitioner approves. How do you set this up in IFS 10? There should be a way to note services, and not require a receipt for it to be paid.
