We have recently had a problem printing count reports.  We print the reports using the part number, and we have encountered an issue where some parts are printing and others are not.  They do not even show up in the print manager it is as if we didn’t try to print at all.

Please Help!

Does anyone have any suggestions?  We are falling behind in our counts, and this issue is still ongoing.

Please and thank you in advance.

Hi @mmhpkns Are you encountering any errors in the background job that’s created when you create a count report?

Are you using cyclical counting specified on the Inventory Part with a specified time interval?  If so, have you checked when the Next Count Date is scheduled on the Quantity per Location Details page?

I’m not sure which IFS version you are on, but I made an assumption that it is some version of IFS Cloud.

Hi @mmhpkns, I also had this issue and went through some extensive testing with IFS. It turns out that if a part is set to cycle counting with a cycle interval, that part will not appear on any count that is generated within that cycle interval of the part last being counted.

The only solution offered by IFS was that the part should be set to not cycle counting, a count generated, and then the part set back to cycle counting. This does work, and is OK for individual parts, but is very cumbersome for large numbers of parts.

Thanks,

David
