We are creating a Material Requisition (MRN). For example, if we create an MRN for an engine with a quantity of 2, when we create the asset numbers, the system creates the objects and links them through pre-posting.

For the second engine, since there are two separate physical assets, how should we create and link the second asset number? Where should we do the posting for the second engine?

Hi​@OWAIS.SARDARNo need to make a second posting. The object link comes from the pre-posting code string on the line, and pre-posting is per line, not per unit of quantity. One line with qty 2 and one pre-posting will always give you one object holding the value of both engines.Try to do two lines, qty 1 each, split the requisition into two lines of quantity 1 and pre-post each line to its own object/asset code part value. Each engine then gets its own acquisition value, its own depreciation, and can be sold or scrapped independently later. For serialized assets like engines this is the only setup that holds up over the asset life.
