Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

Hi community, Customer is upgrading to Apps 10 UPD 12. During the upgrade following DB Locks has prevented the upgrade and took around 5 hours to complete.   Upon a knowledge search, and confirmed with customer that,no modifications made to the Foundation role “TOUCHAPPS_RUNTIME” 'TOUCHAPPS_RUNTIME' role has not 'Fndmob_Installation_API' granted  Customer has seen this on all upgrades made in Apps 10 for them so far,Does anyone know a possible reason for this and possible solutions?  

Hi community,Using Azure AD for authentication.I have two questions.What’s the behavior of the system, after expiring the session ID which has a limit of default 30 min? Will a new Session ID generated and client stay connected or should the client/user has to login again?  Is there any way to extend the lifetime of 30mins session? Appreciate any input.  /Nimesh

Hi, Since IFS Cloud will be the new service management application instead of IFS FSM, what mobile application will be used by user for service management? will it be IFS MWO Service? if so how can I activate the mobile device and where and the endpoint can be found in IFS Cloud.

Need to implement below business flow in IFS Cloud.please suggest best module to use Case --> WorkOrder -> FSE Assignment --> FSE Mobilization --> Time and Expense Entry --> Daily Work Entry --> FSE Ticket. We only want to track FSE work and their time/work/expense and that too daily.There are 2 modules in FSMService Management and Service in IFS Cloud, please suggest which module to use.

Is there a possibility to export Work Order Planning Gantt to MS Project?

HiWe have a couple of employees who are getting this error message when they go to their personal portal in Apps8:Object 'ifs.fnd.asp.ASPPortalContext' (page 'ifs.timrew.portlets.AbsenceRequestEmployee')is not in DEFINED state!Can anyone shed any light on what the cause is? I thought it may have been profile related but others on the same base profile can access the portal with no issue. Thanks,Hayley

We have maintenance work orders created with no operations or allocations. When they are transferred to MWO to a pool, the work orders are showing in the mobile app as allocated . How/why does that happen? IFS Apps 9

Is it possible to enable rich text markup for text fields in Cloud? The request is specifically to enable it for the Work Description field on Task Cards in MRO, but it would be nice to have the functionality to enable it for multiple text fields.

We have a Failed Transaction from MWO Service App for ‘ObjVersion Attribute has no value’ Does anyone know what causes it and how to resolve it?Thanks,

HiIs anybody having experience with Time Registration using Service Management and Time Registration on Work Orders?I would like to know more on how to handle it.A major issue is how to handle it when somebody in Denmark works on a Work Order connected to a projected in another country. In such cases hours are registered in other countries despite they actually belong in Denmark. How do you handle this?  

We have created a test server and installed Oracle and IFS.     When opening the link to go into IFS we are receiving a Security Error:   Your connection is not secure. The certificate ‘xxx.xxx.foil.local’ could not be validated.  To protect your information from being stolen IFS Enterprise Explorer has not connected to the server.   Log in anyway?   Yes (Unsafe) / No   Can you please advise.

Is there a possibility to add employees to a maintenance survey when specific “employees” need to be allowed access and together work tasks in status “Work start” as parameters in mobile eforms? This is in APP10 environment . Thank you

Dear all, Let’s say, I start an assignment in MWO when I am in Montreal, then I take the plane and I go to Vancouver where I run again MWO and continue with my assignment.Everytime an update is done on my assignment via MWO, what is the time recorded in IFS Cloud?Of course, for time spent, I use the Actual Start and Actual Finish which are manually entered. But wwhat about the time automatically recorded in IFS cloud?The time where I am currently (Vancouver)? or the Server time (Montreal)? Thank you

Hi,I would like hat my MONTHLY FEE and all my EXTRAS FEES, been in ONE invoice. I don’t want to finish my month with 7-8 invoices by customers.The way my configuration is right now, it generates ONE invoice for each EXTRA FEE, plus a ONE invoice for the MONTHLY.Can any one have this configuration done?

In the mobile app, in time picker (time clock), the time interval is set to 1 minute. However, since our customer is only need to report time in 15 mins time intervals, we would like to have the ability to have it configurable/modifiable. However, with the current framework, we are unable to do that modification/configuration. Could you please let us know if this identified as a requirement for future developments.  

During a recent move of the MWS to a new server I encountered an error.Invalid password on the document repository for APPS9 UD17.D:\ifs\extsvr\<instance>\repository\ifsdoc\install.xml:1098: INVALID_CREDENTIALS: Invalid username or passwordWhere do I go to look or which account is associated with the Document Repository?I am also having issues keeping the IFS Connect services running,  Any suggestions to fix is truly appreciated.

Hi, In 22R1 and 22R2, calendar view has been implemented in mobile. Please let me know if below are possible. We can see the assignments on the calendar, breaks and the misc. allocations (Ex:vacation days) reported from mobile. If they report vacation on mobile will it be synchronized to HR module and vise versa? Is it possible to see the public holiday calendar (This needs to be defined per site) in mobile calendar? Thank you!
