Hi,A simple question regarding possibility to send service report from tablet or smartphone. If you are on iPad for example, the service report can be saved in Files. Our customer is using it to further send the report to it’s customer (there are times, signatures, etc. on the report) so it’s a document confirming that all job has been done on site. However, on Android devices the report opens in default browser, where you can share it, but not save. When you try to send the report using gmail or outlook it only attaches the name of the link, not the file itself. The workaround is to print the report to a pdf file, save it to download folder and then attach in email app.But maybe someone knows the easier way to save the html directly on device like on iPad? Maybe another browser or third party app? Best regards,Hubert
Hello,We are using Apps 10 Update 18, and we require the ability to add resources (formerly crafts in Apps8) to our engineers (resources) via the screen Resource Detail->Capacity Basis based on their job role. For example, an electrician would get a default list of resources upon joining the business.Currently our managers are having to manually key this into IFS which is a very time consuming and inefficient process. Has anyone achieved this using core functionality or would this need some sort of custom solution? Please let us know your experiencesThanks
Some of the Work Task from Mobile is completed but in client is staying in Work Started status. when checked about the failed transactions screen, noticed that Work assignment has been removed by another user error shown, but work task ref is not updated.this transaction is due to in mobile when they add additional work task and try to complete.I tried to clear the first failed transactions by resending but still issue persists.
Dear all, We are implementing IFS Cloud as Field Service Management solution with use of MWO Service on Windows. Since capturing a customer signature for the service report with mouse or touchpad is not very user friendly, we would like to do this via existing signature pads, which can be connected to the laptop (e.g. via USB). Does anyone have any experience with this or know how to achieve this requirement? Best Regards,Hilmar
Hi All, one of the mobile user has reported below MWO error mentioning that the document upload is waiting, and this error has been there for more than one day. And we tried to check if there are any Failed Transactions and there were no records for the subject user to clear. We tried to expedite the process by connecting Wi-Fi and using Mobile data but it didn't change the status of the error and it's still in ‘Idle’ condition. We are using IFS MWO Service 10 (UPD 9) and this error has been reported intermittently, Would you kindly advise,1. what could we do to have this 336-document uploaded into IEE and2. Kindly advise if we use initialization can lead to a data loss? Or what could happen if the user use ‘Force Initialization’ option? Many thanks for your kind thoughts and advice.
Would like to augment WOTask Cost Code Rules with WO Work Type.If Cost Code Rules could take into account the WO Work Type / would provide for additional posting paths.Example: Rule = Has Customer & Has Warranty (all postings follow same WIP reversal path) Augment that Rule with Work Type:Rule = Has Customer & Has Warranty & Warranty (work type) - Immediate WIP to Final Accts (no WIP reversal)Rule = Has Customer & Has Warranty & Billable (work type) - WIP reversal (per condition).
Hello,I tried to add a custom field in the ‘Custom’ Context for MWO Service and MWO Maint App. I’ve Refreshed Cache from Solution Manager > System Information and Utilities > Refresh Server Cache > “MobileApplication” > Refresh CacheAlso, I have checked the connected context for the perticular using in IFS Aurena Client and I can see that it is picking the custom context as expected. But, when I check the Logs window, I can see that it is picking the context as global even though I Disconnect/Connect from the mobile client. Is there any limitation for the custom contexts? Best Regards,Sachinthani
Do you know if an IFS academy session exist about Product estimator. i find nothing (Cloud version)thanks a lot
Currently we attach documents to Work orders which are then sent to engineers devices during synchronisation. These documents can vary from building/object related to Health&Safety documents/forms.Current Issues:Volume of data being transferred is contributing to MWO issues Engineers are not looking at the documents When documents are updated, it is not obvious to the engineer Engineers have access to a previously downloaded version, which may not be currentThe objective is to reduce the MWO traffic which should speed up syncs, improve notification of document changes to engineer and better version control on the mobile. We are interested to hear about how other IFS customers that utilise Documents and MWO are managing this?We are currently using Apps 10 Update 18, however we plan to be Live with IFS Cloud by mid-2024.Thanks in advance
Hi All, I have an issue where follow on visits are being created for a work task even though follow on visits are not required. as you can see in the below Assignment is sent to the mobile only one allocation is visible Assignment is now completed in MWO New allocation is created for a follow on visit that is not required Can anyone advise why these follow on visits are being created. Thanks Wayne

Under employees the employee has one Maint org but how to add another one? Do I add the user a second time as employee with the same user ID and the order maint org? Thanks in advance!
Hi,Status Invoiceable is set by default on the created Work Task Sales lines whenever there is a customer added on the work task. Customer scenario is that IFS Cloud (currently in 22R2 SU10) is used as an EAM solution and not as an ERP. Invoices are not managed in IFS Cloud. However they do need to connect each Work Task to the relevant Customer, which leads to all Work Task Sales Lines to be created as “invoiceable” by default. In order to close Work Orders and Work Tasks, the customer has to manually set all Work Task Sales Lines to “not invoiceable”A setting to change this default behavior did not exist in Apps 10 according to this post: Has it been introduced in IFS Cloud and if so in which version? If this functionality does not exist, is there a way to use Page Designer to set the field “State” to the value “not invoiceable” by default?ThanksKind regardsLénaïc
In our MRO Business, we used to send parts for repair services externally. This is done using order code 06 PO. However, once the repair is done and while we receive the parts, we used to perform ‘receiving inspection’ where some of the parts fails at quality check/inspection management. As a results, they are supposed to send back for re-work again. However, IFS prevent us to send these parts back using ‘Re-work’.As a business policy/ procedure, those re-work required parts cannot be taken inside the warehouse with serviceability tag.So, how to do this scenario in IFS App10?
We are currently trying to delete all Document Revisions and the associated Document File which have the Document Revision Status “Obsolete”. Is there any way to delete these Revisions and Files automatically? Thanks for your help.
Hello all, we are currently using IFS MWO Service 10 App Upd 9 (version 10.20.1419.0) and when we tried to use Revise Document it always creates a Failed Transaction and got confirmed from the Community there is a known bug related to Document Revision option. Since the option is available Mobile Users still tend to use that functionality and trigger Failed Transactions.1. Therefore, would you kindly advise if there is any possibility to hide it from the MWO App and restrict using that option by any Mobile User?Is the bug related Document Revision option is fixed in Cloud version or any IFS APP 10 UPD.? Many thanks for all your kind thought and advice. 🙂
in mWO Service, with a Workflow Configuration Type Work Task, we are able to report time for tools and complete the assignment for the Tool. I am not seeing similar functionality if the Workflow Configuration type Configured Work Task. Do we know if this is a bug or just missing functionality coming in a later release?
Work Task /Assignment line 1 status is cancelled But the Work Task Clocking data is not Clocked out. When trying to clock out in Assignment Tab Any way to close this Work Task or any alternate solution to correct this error.
Southwest Airlines is seeking advice from other users on Cancel Task functionality on Blocks and Requirements with scheduling rules. Current functionality when a task is cancelled tracking reverts to initial schedule. This drives the task 90% of the time overdue and locks the aircraft until manually updated. In the case of Block Chain tasks it reverts back to 1st occurrence of the chain. The response from IFS has been this is how Maintenix was designed. We do our best to communicate to frontline users to not cancel any tasks other then Job Cards, but occurrences of cancelling Requirements and Blocks still occur. Any insight on this would be appreciated. Michele
Scenario: A work task was assigned to a technician from Cloud to MWO. The work task was cancelled on Cloud, but the MWO technician already began travel or started work (created a clocking). The Cloud syncs with MWO and a work task is allowed to have a start time clocking and is in the cancelled state. An additional assignment is created from the existing work task and is completed. Question:How can the work task be in a finished state when the original cancelled work task cannot be modified with a stop time? In its current form, the work task can neither be reported nor finished because their is a clocking without a stop. ** this issue is preventing our client from billing their customer and needs a quick resolution ** Thank you
Dear Community We are using IFS Cloud Service Management to handle our Field Service requests. We are relying on Work Order / Work Task / … entities to model all the information. We have multiple contacts we want to document for a single Work Order. On the Work Order, it would seem that only 1 set of contact information (name / number / email) can be documented. How would I achieve documenting multiple sets of contact information (name / number / email) for a single Work Order? Thank you for your valuable feedback
Hello IFS Users,We have been trying to implement IFS Service Module that suits our business processes while staying within the scope of standard solution IFS provides. We have been working on this project for almost 2 years and not happy with the solution we are getting. If there are companies out there who are using IFS Service module successfully, we can really use some help if you are willing to share how you use it and how we can effectively use it. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Dear IFS User Community,An issue has been identified when using IFS CRM Companion App, on an Apple iPhone, with the iPhone in ‘dark mode’ setting. With an Apple iPhone in dark mode setting, the CRM Companion notes field within the “Lead” screen becomes black. As such, when entering (black) text into the (black) notes field, the text becomes impossible to view.Have any users encountered a similar issue and have found a clever IFS fix / work-around (other than the iPhone setting being returned to standard (light) setting) ?Thank you in advance for insight / experience / suggestions.
Hi I am searching for the right settings to get MWO Maintenance App fully in French language on my iOS device. My mobile device is set up for French. The preferred language for the mobile user I am connecting with is set up to French. The App menus and various screens and fields are in French ok.But not the notifications for new assignments. They remain in English. Am I missing a setting somewhere or should it be reported as a bug?
I have a customer whose technician is completing work orders and the assignment status remains as ‘OnRoute’ even though he completed all the steps and finished the work task. The technician utilizes the travel option to travel to / travel from the job location. What are some possible causes for this status change issue? Is this a bug and/or human error with selections that the MWO app is allowing to move forward in the work task process with? And is there a functionality as an admin to manually change the assignment status?
Hi, we are using IFS cloud in conjunction with PSO and MWO. We have a set up where we have a single work task that is planned via PSO and then sent to MWO. Everything here is fine. However, sometimes a second person is required on site to assist. We accomplish this by adding a new resource line on the work task. This in turn sends a new allocation over to PSO and schedules the work accordingly. The issue I have is when we commit the work Allocation in PSO and send to Mobile each user has to run through the same work flows and survey etc on MWO. We want the lead worker to complete all surveys etc in MWO and the second user just to be able to arrive on site and then set the status as completed when they have finished and not have to complete the surveys etc. Is this possible?
