Hi, We have gone live with IFS10 today (UPD13). Is it possible that the option Send To (mail recipient as Link) have been removed from the Project Transactions windows in IFS10 (please see screenshot below)? We did have that option available in IFS9 (UPD17). Please let me know if we are missing some setup in this case. Many thanks Miguel

Hello, I created new Sub Contract with one line and one item. This item is connected to project activity. How do I transfer the planned costs from the line to the project activity? The button “Update planned costs” doesnt work for me. I guess there is necessary to set up under which cost element it should be visible in the planned costs/revenue on the project activity monitoring? How should I do that? Thank you in advance. Jakub

Hello, I am wondering if there is a way from the Project Monitoring screen to view values from the Project Forecasts. Example: I have created a Project Forecast for Project A. I have assigned EAC values for each Activity. The Forecast is Reviewed, Approved, and Set as Budget. On Project Monitoring screen, I see the usual Estimated, Planned, Used Costs etc. Is there anywhere where I can see my values from my Project Forecast? Perhaps an “Active Budget” column? On the Project Monitoring >Analysis tab, I do see columns for BAC (Budget at Completion), EAC, and other fields. But these do not seem to be displaying my Project Forecast values. Online help explains that these are driven by “Estimated Costs”. Is there functionality to copy all of my my Project Forecast values to Estimated Costs? I know that I can copy Estimated values to a Project Forecast, so maybe this is only a one-directional relationship between the two. As at now I can see our risk management solution can have three main connected objects (Project, Sales Contract, Sub Contract). Additionally, Customer ID also connected. But for some reason, I cannot handle Supplier Risk. Can you help me on this.

We currently have built inventory and assigned to a project. Now we need to consume the material to the project. Not sure how to consume to the project. Any suggestions on how to consume inventory to project and or ship out of inventory?

We are using IFS 7.5 Our BOM can contain many thousands of components. It is regularly the case that engineering revise these components (someitmes multiple times) for use across multiple BOMs (for wider compatibility, responding to supplier/client feedback etc etc). All our parts are backwards compatible for fit, form, function reasons. It would be useful for our software team to know which revision of a part was delivered when the vehicle was delivered. Is there a way to see this data, perhaps in transaction history?

Hi, I’m trying to allow my customer to spread some cost/revenues between January 1st and December 31th for each project forecast they create, with Amount/12 for each month. Problem is, whenever I use the linear distribution or a specificly created profile with 12 intervals, I always get a non-linear distribution with small gaps between different months. I thought at first that it was linked to the project calendar (No of work days) or to the number of days during each month, but it appears it isn’t the case when I calculate these results manually. Hi, I have a project deliverable structure where : The parent part will be manufactured with a shop order connected to the project, The components will be supplied with MRP. To be clear, the components come from the project deliverable structure, they are not coming from a manufacturing product structure. --> How can I take into account a scrap factor for the components? meaning every time they are used on a project deliverable shop order, we will have a % of loss? Hi, I have got question regarding to functionality Project Resource Forecast. Navigator Path: Project Management\Resources\Project Resource Forecast. Does anybody know, why it is possible to create more than one row for a same Resource ID x Activity Sequence, in the frm Project Resource Forecast? I am able to create two exactly the same lines, and I do not even know (after saving), which one was created earlier and which one afterwards. What happens next - if I RMB/Status/Approve the forecast and RMB/Transfer forecast to resource planning - ONLY the last row that was created is transferred to Project/Activity/Resource. This is probably the standard behavior of the system, but I haven't figured out if this is allowed for any reason, or this should be classified as a bug? Thank you for your answer in advice, David

Two related issues: 1. When a user that is not in a user group refreshes project connections, all customer order connections are removed. 2. When a user that is in a user group refreshes project connections to restore this, only connections of active projects are restored. Test Plan • Login as User JARNO/jarno (Any user) • User JARNO is removed from all user groups in company P10. • Created a work task from Work order in activity sequence 100221678 • RMB and navigated to prepare WO window and under work task tab enter new record with duration. Released the Work task. • RMB the line and report time in • In CO information tab entered the customer and navigate to Report in • RMB the header and created an Invoice preview for the work order. After approving the invoice CO has been created (CO: J33333510) • Navigate to Project ID: PF-SPIE and review the activity • You will notice planned revenue is not visible • Now log in from Jackie and refresh project connections • You will notice Planned

On a project, I’m attempting to use the price from an Agreement Quotation but the resultant Purchase Requisition / PO ignores the Agreement Quotation and pulls through the price from the Supplier for Purchase Part price instead. Below are my steps: On a Project Activity, create purchase demand for a non-inventory purchase part Add purchase demand to Project Quotation List Navigate to the top level of the project > click Quotation List Select the purchase demand and click Request for Quotation Enter the supplier, the agreed price, approve and follow through to create an Agreement Quotation for the purchase demand Note that a Supplier for Purchase Part already exists with a price (General tab) Navigate back to the project Click Get Supplier Price for the purchase demand to pull through the quoted price to the purchase demand planned cost Now create a purchase requisition The issue is that the price displayed in the Purchase Requisition is the price from the Supplie

Dear all, on the project screen it is possible to define if we authorize or not grouping of procurements coming from other projects. I just wonder if such functionnality exists (or might exists) at lower level (sub-project, activity, project supply request). Thanks a lot for your feedback

Authorizer accessAn Authorizer should be able to report time for accessible employees, or change wrongly reported project time for accessible employees, in accordance with the project accesses that the resources in question have. This is not possible right now. 2. Manager AccessThe issue is that Managers only have access to report on own projects for Employee. Sometimes (normally sick leave) the Manager needs to report time for the Employee on project where he/she is not Project Manager, but that is not possible. This wasn't any problem in UPD 4 which we used before. But now when using UPD 6 it is a problem. Can you identify a solution where a Manager can report time for the Employee where he/she is not Project Manager (using window Time Registration in IFS Aurena)? Same goes for the Authorizer.

I am having a project deliverable structure as below. [level 1]: material project deliverable item connected to a manufactured inventory part with MRP code A [level 2] : non material project deliverable item connected to a manufactured inventory part with MRP code P (or K) and engineering phantom part with MPL part value "no demand" [level 3] : material project deliverable item connected to a purchased inventory part When I create the shop order for [level 1], the components are correctly fetched from the phantom parts but - again - the phantom part n° is not displayed on the shop order material line. In this case, the phantom part exists as an inventory part, so why isn't it working?

Hi, When we click on the search button in Activity Classes under Project Management - Basic Data, an error pops up. Is this related to permission sets? We have tried to grant all presentation objects (by navigator) and it did not help. The application owner does not have this issue.
