Hello All,I’m working with a Customer on the following: Planned Netting Groups have been set up and they run Project MRP.  Both project require the same part number, which results in a single Purchase Requisition being created for the part. (This is great!) A Material Transfer Request is also created to transfer the required quantity to the other project. This is shown in Inv Part Availability Planning window. (This is also great!)The downside is that ALL of the Inventory Cost is shown on the single project for “Planned Committed Cost”See screenshot: And none of Inventory Cost is shown on the other project in the Planned Committed Cost.See screenshot:

Hi All,Greetings.Project Connected Work Orders will be used.I want to know whether standard application (Apps 10 UPD 15) supports project budget control on Work Order Transaction like Time reporting cost and material issues based on Project budget defined on Cost/Revenue Elements. I have tested the scenario, planned cost does not get loaded on the project activity and once the GL is updated the cost gets updated as Used cost directly once work task transactions are authorized and transferred. The requirement is to control the cost at Time Reporting stage initially without configuration/modification.In below screenshot budget for internal labour cost element (3000) is 5000, where as application allows excessive time reporting of value 11380.Note: Project Time reporting functionality is not required.

When releasing a connected PO on a Project, a committed cost is shown as PO value but no Object Progress (It is 0%). However, Actual Start Date of the activity is fetched automatically when PO is released. Is that possible? Or is there a way to stop setting Actual Start date automatically when PO is released? 

Both the Planning and Employee Allocation tabs of Activity Resource Planning have a field labelled Report Code.  It is not insertable or updateable on either of these tabs and always has the value of %.While training, I could not explain to our customer what it it is used for in this context or why it is there.  There is no field description that might help.  The page help is useless.Miight there be someone who has an answer for this?Thank you.PatrickPS:  No need to explaing to me what a Report Code is, that’s basic and well understood.

In Apps 9, and Apps 10 we used to have good field level help for the many fields that are used on the Project Peformance Analysis.  It gave the formulas for values like BAWC and the SPI and CPI values (among many others).  Those prized bits of information are not in any of the newer versions, as far as I can tell.I remember material that I wish I’d saved that had a graph of the project costs versus time and it illustrate how the schedule vairance and cost variance cause the IEAC to change.  I’m hoping that someone may have some of this old material and can forward it to me or add it to this topic.Thank you.Patrick

I’m struggling with getting the Resource Analysis screen to behave.  This is the analysis of my person group.  The capacity starts today, which is the day I’ve run the Refresh Snapshot.(See attachment named Resource Analysis for a Person Group Resource.png. If I look at the Resource Analysis for the individual who is assigned to the Project Manager person group, I get the expected result.(See attachment named Resource Analysis for a Person Resource.png) I have the Resource Analysis Demand Snapshot set to a -30 day start offset and the Resource Schedules and Capacity set to a -100 day start offset.  Automatic Calculation is ON.Might anyone have a clue as to why the snapshot for the person group is different than the snapshot for a person?

We need to get the long lead time no part materials ordered that are attached to the WO on a project activity. Our labor resources are also attached to the same activity and WO. If the activity starts a year early because of the PO release, then the labor resources will get spread out over a longer period that isn’t representative of the actual labor resource consumption. On the scheduling side of things, we have a lot of our activities linked to each other so the activity releasing early because of the PO can have an impact on scheduling as well. However, when releasing the PO,  activity does get started automatically. Is there a way to stop this happening?

Is it possible to define, by configuration, the early start in an Activity Project? When you create a new Activity in a Project, this field is filled with sysdate automatically.My customer wants that this field is filled in with the project planned start and not with sysdate.  Thank you in advance.Best regardsSergio.

Hello, I am implementing the setup of Resources for my customer on IFS Cloud 23R2. However I can’t manage to add a line in the SITE SETTINGS tab of the MAINTENANCE/SERVICE tab of a person resource : Ifs won’t let me save the line even if I fill in all the mandatory or not mandatory fields.By enabling the log, I get the folowing error :DEBUG - Empty required attributes: ResourceConnectionSeq The issue is this field is not displayed in IFS in standard, and even if I add It with Page designer, I do not know what to put in it.==> Has anyone encountered the same issue and managed to find a solution ?Thank you,Pierre  

Hi Community, For our customer, we are using Project deliverables (PDL) module to support their activities of design/industrialization and shipment of robotic lines.Our client sells this as a service via a sales contract in IFS connected to a WBS project.The PDL and project modules are used to centralize all the costs required to fulfill the customer’s order.The entire design phase is transcribed into PDL as a multi-level bill of materials (BOM) with all the parts required.Once procurement/manufacturing has been completed, the items must be shipped to the customer.As the BOM may contain many items to be shipped, in PDL we faced several problems :- We add a BPA to create in mass all the planning lines type = shipment to have all the shipment lines/plans.- We then use a shipment to support the creation of shipment lines.According to the standard, the lines are created on the most recent

Hello,Sometimes our project engineers need to make some changes on started project delivables. For example; project started and customer wanting to remove one material. The material is under a manufactued(shop order) part. Engineer is picking part from project deliverables tree and move it to which is non-materail named spare_part object.At that point project deliverables and shop order is coming different stuation. Moved part is already in shop order materails.We tried Calculate Gross Requirements function but shop order is not updating.Are there any way to update shop order as project deliverables in standard from screens? Or should we add a development in Delivery_Structure_API.Move_Item.We are using IFS10 update 10. 

I have a situation where I have purchased assemblies that contain sub-components which require individual serial number and/or IUID traceability. Is there a way to define a BOM/product structure for purchased parts so that I can capture individual sub-component serial/IUID data for each serialized assembly at receiving?

Hi,We have set the below company properties to restrict employees editing their project time reporting after time card is authorized. In this example, particular Cost Accounting box in Project Transactions is set to ‘Approved’ automatically for particular employee since his time card on 19.01.2023 is authorized. However, employee is not allowed to edit time reporting (hours), but he is able to change the project ID, activity or report code on particular date even though his time card is authorized.  How can we restrict this? In IFS Cloud, I migrated a large set of Resource groups.When I try to add a Person to a Resource Group, I get an error message stating : The Resource already exists. I get the same error when I try to add a new resource group manually. Has anyone encountered this error before ?  

Hello,I have a problem with the contribution margin when creating the financial project.Even if I enter a value in the "Contribution margin" field,the value 0 is automatically taken into account when the financial project is created as you can see in the screenshots.Any ideas for solving this problem?Best regards. 

Hi Experts,on screen of project navigator early start date of each activity changed automatically i.e 03-03-2024 changed with 01-01-2016. what is reason why this was change automatically. is there any impact from other screen/form please suggest solution.  Regards,Waqar 

Hi all,I have a concern regarding job rate management functionality in IFS Cloud. Once the weekly job cost calculation is done, I see that the internal price is calculated correctly. However, this cost has not been recorded against the relevant project activity under monitoring. (Create cost accounting = Yes)Is this the intended functionality here? or am I missing a setting here?   Appreciate any input on this. Thanks.

We have one Project with two sites. The Project was created from a Customer Order with an External Customer.  After running PMRP, Site 1 has a Purchase Order for the Internal Supplier (Site 2). The purchase order line is connected to the Project Activity. Using Inter Site functionality, we released and sent the Purchase Order to the Internal Supplier (Site 2), which automatically created the Customer Order for Site 2 (with Site 1 as a Customer).  However, the internal Customer Order lines cannot connect to the Project Activity.  We receive this error. Can Inter site POs and CO be connected to the same Project? 

Dear Community Members.I hope you will be able to suggest a solution to the given issue. In one of our projects there are a lot of agreements signed in Euro. We want to register and conduct them as Subcontracts in IFS. However, the invoicing has to be in country currency - RON in Romania. In case of Purchase Orders there is a possibility to match invoice with purchase order delivery without problems even when currencies are different. In Subcontract there is a problem and the system cannot see certificate to match if it is in different currency than invoice. Or I cannot find the proper settings.The current solution is that we convert the contract value from EUR into RON using certain currency rate, enter subcontract in RON and issue certificates that we need to match with invoices. But each invoice is in different period and has a varied currency rate. In result we have the problem with differences between certified value and invoiced value. Any ideas to

Does any understand the rules around Project Exceptions and how to clear them especially the two that affect your cost:Resource Planning Planned Value ExceededIs there any documentation that explain these, have been looking at the Planned Value Exceeded and just presumed that it was that my Planned Cost was lower that my Committed Cost + Used cost. But on the example I looked at my planned cost was fine. So looked in more detail and discovered that Baseline cost was lower than my Committed + Used Cost,  adding my activity to the Baseline cleared my exception. ThanksMark

Hi TeamI created a service contract with the below invoicing parameters;  However, I want to create a single invoice for the five selected periods below, but it always creates five separate invoices for each period.  Can someone tell me if there is any possibility to create a single invoice for the above period? If so, what functionality or settings should I enable?​​​​​​​

Project Training - IFS Cloud - New Project Forecast I am working on my IFS Cloud Project Management Training. Currently working on the project finance course. I am getting the following error when I attempt to follow the course demo and create a forecast from the new project forecast screen. Is this something I can fix, or is there someone at IFS who will need to take care of this for me?
