Hi, Does anyone know of a way to make Material Requisitions default to create in a Planned status? I know this is configurable for POs & Shop Orders (etc.) but I can’t see any settings for Material Requisitions to default this.We COULD event it but I would worry that the event would fire while the req is being filled out and then cause an error and the user would have to start over.Hoping someone can assist and point me in the right direction.Thanks,Andy

Hi All, we are unable to close the shop orders as we are near to closing of the month. this becomes the show stopper for us.

almighty Community, when parts arrived at the dock, for serialized parts, we might use supplier serial - Configuration ID 1 use our company serial - Configuration ID 2for option 1, we use one configuration which could scan serial no directly. We configured Register Arrival ID 1for option 2, we use another configuration which user has to assign Pre, Padding, Seq… to assign serial no manually. We configured Register Arrival ID 2. then it comes to a problem, user has to switch back and forth from 1 and 2 when receiving parts,  and each time they switch, they have to scan Receipt Reference and PO No again. would it be possible for WADACO, can switch by just click one key without back out the whole session? or we even don’t have to have 2 configuration ID, one ID that could handle this kind of scenario? Thank you.

hello everyone! I need your help with some steps or screenshots if you can. I have a problem with count report, we are taking to much time counting the parts because there are thousands and we are late sometimes. we want the IFS10 do it automatically. because they are classified by A,B and C. There are any way to do a cycle count automatically?Any idea would help, please.

We are looking to make a change in the way floor stock (small screws, washers, etc) is handled when putting a shop order to the floor.Floor stock is set to purchased items but does NOT show in “on hand” inventory. This causes the material to show as a shortage on the pick list. However, the material is on the shop floor in bulk and available for use.I looked at changing the floor stock to Part Type: Expense, but results in a error message “ routing head and structure head exist”. The organization does not wish to remove floor stock from the BOM.Does anyone know how to set up floor stock items to be on the BOM but not on the stock room pick list as a shortage?  

Hi, Community, for some reason, Part Description needs to be changed. i don’t think it difficult to change it via migration job, but since it’s a global description, it was brought forward to, for example, Inventory Part, Purchase Part, sales part, supplier for purchase part…. my question is, shall we have to change one by one(inventory part, sales part, purchase part….) or we have a smart way other than that? Thank you.

Hello all, Is there anyway to link specific inventory lot to specific customer ? For example,Inventory Part : ABCLot : 123456To be link with customer code 123456 only And can be invoiced only to this customer.I’m thinking about  to use Availability Control ID to handle, but it doesn’t seem to solve the problem. Thank you.

For an Apps9 customer, I have observed that when creating MCPR invoices the ‘Multi-Company Project Invoice No’ is not updated correctly in the customer transactions.1. Create MCPR transactions > Approve from both companies > Create the preliminary invoice from Employee company2. “Multi-Company Project Invoice No” field is updated correctly in Customer company transactions.3. Release the Preliminary invoice > Then final (PJ) invoice will be created4. ‘Employee Project Transactions’ > Note Invoice No is updated correctly5. Go to Customer Project transaction > ‘Multi-Company Project Invoice No’ is not updated correctly. Any reason for this?Thank you

How do I find PO’s that correspond to a certain shop order by looking up the Lot#

Does anyone have a planned schema for setting up Standard Names, Main Groups, and Part Classes as a best practice?  Looking to integrate our PLM system for the first time into IFS (has been a separate application to this point), just curious if anyone can offer your methodology to give me some ideas as I go through the design for our next site.  We are still on V9, and will go live on that version before going to Cloud next year, not sure yet whether that makes a difference, but don’t want to do something now that has to be undone later.

Hi,We are having an issue related to history tab of MRO Shop Orders.When you manually add a material line to the SO, you can see that the order history captures it and includes the part number as the new value. But when you delete this material line, the order history doesn't capture the deleted part as the old value. I believe this should be captured.Can someone please validate?

A serial object was created from a customer order line where the Create SM Object box was checked, after the line was delivered. Is it possible to delete the serial object?

How do I find PO if I only have the Batch Number?

I’m a new on IFS and I’ve followed a 2 months training on IFS apps10. When I create a distr. order, I need to repeat the process many times or click on refresh many times to get it released. Is it possible to scan this process execution through a menu (background processing)? and how to do it?

Hi All,I would like to move WIP items between internal work centres and keep track of the movements by having one work centre transfer the item out and the receiving work centre transfer it in essentially. What is the best way to do this?                 

I have a customer that would like to have the cost of a manufactured part set to 0 in the standard cost, even though it has components in the structure. It is a part that is usually generated as a by-product but they still would like it to be set as manufactured. it has the setting Only Zero Cost allowed on the Inventory part so the inventory value is always 0, but the standard cost that they use for pre-calculation is incorrectly set to the calculated value. Any tips and ides is welcome! 

Hi,I have a manufactured part for which I get this error message when creating a shop order.We are on apps 9. We use estimated material cost for all our manufactured parts. There’s an estimated material cost in the Inventory Part>Costs tab. The product structure is set to buildable, there’s only one structure, all components have costs.These are our Part Costs for this part. Any advice would be welcome. Cheers ! 

HI All,I am after your knowledge on setting up Order Types.We currently use several different Order types depending on if we are making to stock or making to order.We need to create a new order type, which we have done, but the problem we are facing is that once production is reported and stock receipted in, it is automatically reserving against the customer order.To create this new order type we duplicated the one with the actions that we wanted and this one did not have the auto reserve occuring. We also checked and all the settings appear to be the same.Do you know how to alter the functions of the order type to remove the auto reserve that is occuring?TIAK

Please refer the test below,1.Transact a DSO to Approve state where the part is serviceable i.e. part is reserved to the Assembly side.2. Go to the parent ASO of the DSO, Search for the material line.3. Unreserve the material line.4. Reserve the line using the RMB option Manual Reservation. The same serial captured during disposition should be reserved.5. Based on the above transaction '4', the Structure Line No is removed.6. The consequence of the same is such - One can reserve the DSO and once the DSO is approved again with a different disposition code, in the ASO - Material tab the same material line is created again. Hence there is duplication of the same material line. Any comments on this observation? 

Hi,We are testing DDMRP and think this planning model is useful for us in a Make To Stock scenario for automotive type customers.Automotive customers send us a delivery schedule for ~6 months of demand. When I try the DDMRP it creates only one requistion to fill up stock to the top of green level. I would like it to continue to create requistions for the complete 6 months horizon . The reason is that we plan the capacity load based on requisitions and that we want the demand from the top level part to show on the lower BOM-levels.(We would only “firm” the first requisition in a planning)Is there a parameter that I am missing, or is DDMRP designed for “short term planning”?Sorry for the swedish screen dump, but it shows that only one requistion is created. Then the stock goes negative 2021-07-13 without any new requistion created by the DDMRP.
