IFS standard log transferring solution

Dear Community,  We need to investigate how is possible to send logfiles from IFS App server and logging information from IFS database to external logging and monitoring tool?Are there any standard or recommended way to do this?Also what is the recommended external logging / monitoring tool for IFS? We are currently on IFS Apps10 UPD 21.  Thank you very much in advance!Kind regards, Balazs

Contract Change Order: Possible to edit Contract Line Item NOT create new Line Item via CCO?

Hi,  We’re currently using 24R2. I have the requirement of being able to adjust and track updating the Sales Contract Line Item Quantity as Planned Demand differs from Actual Demand. As an example, Part A is an Item on Line 1 of my Sales Contract with a required Quantity of 100 currently. However, the demand for Part is actually 50 and we need to create a new Sales Contract Revision to reflect the changes. Currently, we create a new Item Line with Part A with a Quantity = -50 to reflect this change, however, we can’t accept negative quantity lines going forward, as connected Business Opportunities cannot have negative quantity lines. With this in mind, I’ve been exploring the usage of Contract Change Orders in a test environment, which seem great for being able to Add New Line Items to my Sales Contract and have them be tracked/approved etc. However, I can’t seem to be able to just edit/reduce the Quantity of Part A on Line 1 of my Sales Contract from 100 to 50 and track this change. Multi-Level Repair on a lot-controlled part

Need a little guidance here.  I created a lot-controlled part with a lot size of 1 and it created the as-built structure for each lot I created.  I have a repair structure and a repair routing, and I create a repair shop order and ensure that I turn on multi-level repair before I save the shop order. I am getting the materials that I may issue as part of the repair as materials as well as the finished good part on the shop order materials.  I then manually reserve the lot number of the finished good part but here’s the rub. I am NOT getting the multi-level repair structure as I have in the past with serialized parts.  What am I missing??The documentation says it’s possible but…Thanks in advance!

Making a link in mobile integration mandatory

Hi All, Is there any way to accessing a link mandatory which is inside Mobile Integration in IFS MWO.We want to generate message like “Mandatory step is missing” If a technician forgot to click a link in Mobile Integration before completion a work assignment.TIA:

Defect Act functionality

Hello,our client asked us to evaluate the possibility of starting to use Defect act standard functionality in work orders management.I cannot find such not in IFS10, not in IFS Cloud.Is there some functionality of Defect Act in IFS? Thank you beforehand

IFS Cloud - Excel Migration Date columns

Hi,When using excel migration to upload data, when a date is passed, it gets inserted as the prior date. For example, if I am loading external payments with date 5/20/2023 in my excel, once uploaded and going into IFS, it shows as 5/19/2023.The same behavior is observed when a new entity is created and excel migration is used to upload the data.When the data is indicated as 1/1/2023, it uploads as 12/31/2022 automatically.Is this the known behavior of excel migration? if not, what needs to be done to resolve this issue?Best Regards,Dinesha

How to External file through a batch process

Dear Team, I am running the external supplier invoice load process through batch load in IFS Cloud (22R2). It appears that the system only recognizes the exact file name and I have been unable to find a mechanism to inject files with different suffixes, such as ExtSuppInv001.txt, ExtSuppInv002.txt, and so on.Is there anyone who is aware of how to accomplish this? If so, could you please share the solution?

BPA - Sub Process on distinct values from collection

I’m currently working on a Workflow where I need a list of distinct values.I need to retrieve a collection of distinct suppliers from a set of Purchase Requisition Lines.I’m currently using an API element to fetch all Purchase Req Lines that meet a certain set of condition e.g. from a specific site. For those Purchase Req Lines the same Vendor/Supplier exists multiple times. However I actually need a distinct list of VendorNo in a collection for a Sub Process.I have tried multiple ways to achieve this but I haven't succeeded yet. Anybody have a suggestion for a solution?

Cost recognized in Rev Rec even when there is no actual cost

Hello. When we run revenue recognition, we noticed that for some of our projects, cost is being recognized even when there are no actual costs. The expectation is that no cost would be recognized. If someone has an idea of why this is happening, I would appreciate it if you could advise.

Performance MCPR time registration

Hi,One of my customer is planning to use MCPR (Multi Company Project Reporting) for a large number of companies. They currently have about 80 companies with in total 2.000 projects. It should be possible for each employee to work on a project in any other company. This results in a large number of MCPR connections. We are wondering if this large number or connections can result in perfomance issues.Do you have experience with using MCPR time registration with a large number of connections? Migration job to activate users

Hello,I have created successfully a set of migration jobs to create users.Hopefully, the following system parameter is active :The only point which resist is the following : I’d like to automate with another Migration job, the activation of the first login. Making the automate password  as “ to change on the 1st login” is OK, but presently, the user/password fail! Thanks for your help

Tricky Object Connection Transformation

 I am trying to setup an object connection transformation for the following. The behaviour I am expecting is :1.Attach a document to Object type2.Attached document should be inherited by all the Functional Objects connected to that Object type3.Attached document should be inherited by the Work Order/ Work Tasks created  which are connected to that Functional Object The items 1 & 2 were successful but the item 3 has failed.Should this be a straightforward connection or am I doing something wrong ?

Print Delivery

Hello everybody :We're facing an awkward situation. Previously, printing the delivery note included all lines from the customer order. For example  whether they were delivered or not But now, we are just getting the line of the delivery action : The print is being done from the Print Delivery Note for customer orders page :    Any idea why or how to analyse please?

Workflow Configuration - Attachment Manatory

Within the Workflow Configuration the fuction of “Mandatory” for Attachments seems to be not working.Expected results is when a workflow has select of “Mandatory” for attachments the Request should not be allowed to finish without an attachment.

Is it possible to reprint a Shop Order picklist several days after the original was provided

We have a client who has a process under which a Shop Order pick list is created and then follows the Assembly it refers to throughout the Assembly procedure.At times this original Pick List can get lost, damaged or defaced to the point it becomes unreadable.Other than going to the Print Manager and hoping that the original is still in the list, is there any way of reprinting the original pick list from within the Shop Order

Time clock question

Hello All, We are using IFS Apps 9. We would like to use “IN org” functionality when employee works for multiple departments and want to clock their time against the department they are working for.   I don’t see a “OUT org” object name. As a result in the Clocking Tab, the In Department doesn’t match the Out department. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks

Tima and Attendance clocking

Hello,The company has work bench clocking to record Labor hours, which works well. We are trying to introduce T&A clocking for payroll and fire recall only. However, when we have added the terminals, the clock attaches to the labor class and absorbs labor and overhead charge. Please can you help me to detach the manufacturing labor from the T&A clocking but continue with the Manufacturing labor for the bench top clocking?Thank you

How to automatically email two different report layouts at Invoice Print

We are using Apps 10 upd 13 and looking for some suggestions on how to trigger two different emails with different report layouts attached when our Invoices are printed.  We have been testing with the setup below. An event action (PDF_REPORT_CREATED) that has been in use in our prod environment for a couple years.  This sends an email with our default layout invoice to the correct recipient. A new Report rule that triggers a different email and recipient.  This email successfully sends to the correct recipients at invoice Print We are able to define the layout in this report rule, but it also changes the layout for the event action email, which is not what we are looking for.  We tried to use multiple report rules or to combine the two emails into one report rule but that did not work.  We do not want to use the PDF_REPORT_CREATED for our new email because we need several fields to be pulled into the email that are not available through the pdf_parameters.  Are there other options tha

IFSDBREADONLY/IFSINFO Querying Database

Hello, I am new to using IFS Cloud in the cloud. I have always used IFS on prem. I went through the necessary steps and have received the ability via ifsinfo and ifsdbreadonly to get into the database via sql developer to do some select statements. However, I am coming across the problem where I can only do a SELECT statement on some views and not others.EX: IFSAPP.CUSTOMER_ORDER returns nothing but IFSAPP.CUSTOMER_ORDER_ADDRESS returns normal information.There are many more examples.Why is this? Or how am I able to query all of the views without issue? Thanks, Eli
