Hi everyone,

Could anyone confirm if IFS provides any recommended minimum sizing specifications for IFSCloud Management servers? I’d appreciate any guidance or documentation references.

Thanks in advance!

According to the IFSCloud documentation, specific sizing requirements are not provided. Based on our experience, we recommend using 4 or 8 vCPUs with 16GB or 32GB of RAM.

@Nishantha Anuruddha Thank you for sharing this knowledge base article. However, it does not include sizing information for the management server.

@maheshmuz

Have you check the attachment?

I’m not sure that you have access all connected documents. Please check  “IFS Cloud24R1EA Sizing Guide Pape”

@Nishantha Anuruddha I was actually looking for sizing details specifically for the management server, rather than the middle-tier server.

4 Cores and 16GB Ram are more then enough. Also works with 2 Cores and 8GB RAM

@TEFCRKA

What specifically runs on the mgmt server?  In my understanding not much does aside from being able to view the pods and to host the update files, etc.

Does the mgmt server have any effect on the IFS User Interface speeds...ie Search speeds or page refreshes...etc?

Mgmt server is as its name says only for management. For Example installation of Updates / Upgrades.

It has nothing to do with application server which is linux und where ifs cloud is running. You only communicate with application server through mgmt server. You can also do many tasks directly on the application server

Application server and database server are seperate systems.
